Canceled my reservation without reaching out to me because the hotel was overbooked. Found out about it upon check-in around 3:45 pm. Poor woman at the front desk said there was nothing she could do about it because there are no managers on duty on Saturdays. After an hour+ of talking with IHG corporate, they call me back and say they finally were able to get me a room (1bed), but it’s not the room I booked (2 beds). I just assumed it would be discounted or comped. No, they cannot do that, they said. I’d have to talk to Expedia. Expedia told me to contact IHG corporate. I ended up try to sleep on a pull out couch (6’3”), while wife and kids shared the king. The place is nice, clean, great breakfast, but you can tell the whole operation is shoddy and disorganized.
