Holiday Inn Express & Suites Racine by IHG

Our Room was Clean with Amenities..Soap..lotion..etc. However we were surprised we had the Handicapped Room which we did not request & had no problem with it. Bed & pillows were comfortable & warm. Upon check in Lady at Desk was not infomative so we ask about Breakfast which was from 6:30-10:30. Complimentary Coffee 24-7. We were traveling with my Husband's work and called in Advance to make sure we could park our Semi Truck with Trailer on properly & was told we could. However when we arrived fortunately my husband was able to back in but if the parking lot had been full it would have been impossible so I do not recommend Truck with Trailer only Bob Tail or Box Truck is accommodated. Hotel property was clean & safe with good location & within walking distance to several Fast Food Restaurants.

Room was spotless. Everything worked. Staff kind, courteous, exemplary. 3rd time staying there for visiting family and friends and leisure.

Canceled my reservation without reaching out to me because the hotel was overbooked. Found out about it upon check-in around 3:45 pm. Poor woman at the front desk said there was nothing she could do about it because there are no managers on duty on Saturdays. After an hour+ of talking with IHG corporate, they call me back and say they finally were able to get me a room (1bed), but it’s not the room I booked (2 beds). I just assumed it would be discounted or comped. No, they cannot do that, they said. I’d have to talk to Expedia. Expedia told me to contact IHG corporate. I ended up try to sleep on a pull out couch (6’3”), while wife and kids shared the king. The place is nice, clean, great breakfast, but you can tell the whole operation is shoddy and disorganized.

Bed is high so getting in with bad hips was very difficult. Pillows were much too soft.
