Unable to sleep due to elevator noise ... check your suite location before booking! We stayed in Suite 503 for two nights. It is right by the elevator, and the mechanical noise in the bedroom was loud enough to keep us awake both nights. We are not light sleepers. I recorded the noise and sent it to management in the middle of the night. To their credit, staff was responsive and acknowledged the problem. They also offered relocation, but it was already late and, with our packed travel schedule the next day, finding another hotel and moving wasn't realistic. We researched the property and read many reviews before booking but saw no warning about this issue. Had we known, we would have stayed elsewhere. After our stay, however, searching the reviews specifically for "elevator noise" produced a few 1- and 2-star reviews mentioning the same issue. But how would anyone know to search for something that specific beforehand? If you are given a suite ending in 03, or any suite next to the elevator, I strongly suggest asking specifically about elevator noise before accepting it. I can't confirm that every such suite is affected, but Suite 503 certainly was. The property itself and service were good, but two nights without decent sleep outweighs those positives and unfortunately makes this a one-star stay.
