Once inside the front gate the property is beautiful and clean. The staff is well trained, polite and extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is amazing, the food is good. Not much to see beyond the property walls. Best to get a courtyard room and enjoy the oasis they have created.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel. It should be rated 1 star. The entire hotel has a very bad smell, starting with the front lobby. We were there a total of 8 nights but had to switch rooms three (3) times because of issues. Our first room on the 6th floor was so smelly that we could not take it anymore and had to move. The person who cleaned our room told us that there have been complaints about the entire floor for a long time. We had to go to a store and buy 4 room fresheners, bleach, and other cleaning supplies; and used them to clean our own room. Our second room was on the 4th floor. Our sinks in the bathroom both leaked, so did our toilet. Plus the entire room still had a bad stench. I believe that the toilet leaked sewer gas into the room. At one point in time, it was so bad that we finally had maintenance re-caulk the toilet… which obviously they would not have done if we did not complain and if the smell was not atrocious. I finally had enough and asked the assistant manager on duty to move us, and then we were off to our third room. When we were there the entire bathroom mirror is lined with mold. The walls are cinder block and there are gaps where it is not even sealed or caulked. Of course the room still had a very bad smell; but at least we had our room fresheners and cleaning supplies. The hotel is shaped like a big “U” with the interior courtyard really being the pool—which nobody can or should use because hundreds of birds use it as a toilet. It’s awful.

The hotel appeared outdated and cramped upon arrival. The pictures made the pool seem large and inviting, but in person, it was quite small and underwhelming. Very nice hotel - beautifully looked after and nice big clean rooms. Good gym, nice bar, great breakfast. The only reason for 4/5 is the fact that despite being on the coast there are no views. My room looked into an industrial area. Nevertheless, if I was in Davao again I would stay here.

Friendly and attentive service. Well-appointed, clean room. All spaces were well-maintained and tidy. Nice pool, though not heated(?). Nice gym; I only used the treadmill, but they had towels and water, and the interior temperature was reasonable. Nice breakfast buffet offerings, with delicious kakanin.

My wife and I stayed at the Dusit Davao for 7 days in August, 2024. It was our 2nd visit; we also stayed in August, 2023. The staff are mostly friendly and seem to smile. That is the extent of the positive experience. Unfortunately, the majority of it was very disappointing with several significant issues. 1. Many areas are moldy and dirty. Dead cockroaches are common (we saw some in the same place for the entire duration of our stay). 2. The balcony areas were not cleaned well, if at all. There is a significant amount of dirt, bird poop and grime from the air conditioning units & did not appear touched the whole stay. 3. The air conditioner vent leaked so bad that water was pouring into the kitchen area. This occurred twice. The 1st time the engineering staff cleaned it but did nothing to fix it so it was not a surprise it happened again. The 2nd time, following additional prodding, it may have been fixed but we left shortly thereafter so who knows. Judging by the mildew and worn paint near the vent this was not the 1st time it happened. 4. The service is painfully slow for a 4 star property. It was common for a coffee in the lobby lounge to take 20 minutes. Food orders were met with a response noting "it will take 20-35 mins" but it was often almost an hour; even for basic menu items. 5. Housekeeping unable to provide clean washcloths daily. 6. Zero concern by staff of how the stay was; never asked & when issues were noted they did not seem to care.

I'm sad to say my first stay at this hotel was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the suite I was given smelled terribly like sewage. It was so strong, with no exaggeration, I wanted to throw up when inside the room. The management moved me to another room, but the corridor smelled moldy very strongly. It seemed unsafe to even breathe in those corridors. I do want to acknowledge the management and staff were nice and they seemed to be doing their best. But how much can they do for their customers when the building itself is in much need of being cleaned, mold removed and fixing. During breakfast or dinner times, the staff was very nice and kind. But again, even though the staff were doing their best, the building and rooms themselves are not in their best condition. There are other hotels in Davao that I heard is in much better condition. For a four or five star hotel the employees were extremely unhelpful and didn't seem to want to do anything for the guests. One of concierge staff is making face as well but had a change of mood with caucasian guests. It’s sad to feel racism and selective treatment in my own country. We ordered room service food as well, chicken has still blood, mango shake is too sweet, dumpling is too salty. 2,500 breakfast buffet is okay but no worth it, I was expecting more for this price. Stay at this hotel if you can tolerate all of this but we are not coming back. We stayed in a suite and a king bed room. For half of its price, you can stay on a better hotel that is cleaner, better service and food.

Overall, it’s a good hotel. It’s just that the key card didn’t work properly a few times, and we had to go to the reception several times during our stay, which was boring. Our booking confirmation was for three Deluxe King City View rooms with king-size beds, but upon arrival, the agent informed us that each room only had two twin beds instead. Check in wasn't great - assigned the wrong room with adjoining noisy neighbours. Was corrected but only after showing my booking and them blaming Expedia. Once inside the front gate the property is beautiful and clean. The staff is well trained, polite and extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is amazing, the food is good. Not much to see beyond the property walls. Best to get a courtyard room and enjoy the oasis they have created.

Check in wasn't great - assigned the wrong room with adjoining noisy neighbours. Was corrected but only after showing my booking and them blaming Expedia. Breakfast was good, but wasn't kept supplied. Staff did the basics but nobody went out of their way. Overall, it was fine but nothing special to make me stay again.

Highly rated hotel in the city. The rooms are well maintained and well equipped. The buffet breakfast is very delicious. I would stay here again.

the room was splendid and prestine. staff were all courteous and helpful. although the breakfast buffet seemed to have been absent of pomelo like there used to be.

Check in took me 20 mins, I was asked to step aside and didn’t check on me back. Didn’t even offered me places to stay and get refreshments. One of concierge staff is making face as well but had a change of mood with caucasian guests. It’s sad to feel racism and selective treatment in my own country. The place is supposed be “luxury” but I don’t think it’s well maintained; dirty window pane, piles of pigeon manure outside, dirty shower sinks, place is falling apart. We ordered room service food as well, chicken has still blood, mango shake is too sweet, dumpling is too salty. 2,500 breakfast buffet is okay but no worth it, I was expecting more for this price. Stay at this hotel if you can tolerate all of this but we are not coming back. We stayed in a suite and a king bed room. For half of its price, you can stay on a better hotel that is cleaner, better service and food.

Friendly and attentive service. Well-appointed, clean room. All spaces were well-maintained and tidy. Nice pool, though not heated(?). Nice gym; I only used the treadmill, but they had towels and water, and the interior temperature was reasonable. Nice breakfast buffet offerings, with delicious kakanin.

The staff was great and the amenities were nice! The bed was also very comfortable. Outside of that, it was a bit disappointing that we had to ask for the sink to be fixed, the safe to have batteries installed, and if the air purifier was properly maintained right after our check in. For a Dusit Thani, it seemed this branch was not a top priority of the company. Also, the ceiling vents where the air con came out were filthy and the water oscillated between hot and cold while showering. Again, great staff, but the upkeep of the hotel was not as expected for a 4/5 star expectation.

The place was beautiful, clean and staff was great and since it’s off the main road it’s very quiet. Breakfast was much better than expected with many food options and the staff and cooks were accommodating.

This time we didn’t avail the breakfast since we have to leave early to catch our flight back home, nevertheless, I found this hotel so accessible to the airport, the staff is very attentive our stay is always comfortable, waking up with the city view is a bonus!

I’ve stayed in Dusit probably 7 years ago, the lobby’s ambiance, the hospitality of the staff excellent. The rooms still in good condition but needs upgrades. A good floor polishing in bathroom is recommended as well as fresh scent to hotel carpets in hallways. Breakfast was excellent my family enjoyed the variety of dishes served.
