Really nice Tiny house experience instead of chain hotel. Main road is a little noisy but the deck on the canal offsets the road. After Hurricane Ian the property looks brand new. We loved it and plan to go back.

My 7 yo grandson and i spent a night in the Dolphin. Best experience ever! Communications were great. I received directions and entry information via text. Super easy! The unit was everything and more. From the themed furnishings and fully equipped kitchen to comfortable sleeping. There was more than enough room for the 2 of us. The unit actually does accomodate 6 sleeping. With outdoor dining and mini cafe set up inside, plenty of space to spread out. There is a deck at the rear of the property with chairs for relaxing by the water and even a corn hole toss game. The location was perfect for us. There was access to grocery, dining and local fare nearby. We took the drive out to Lighthouse Beach which didnt take as long as expected. When we arrived back after dusk, the torches lit our path. My grandson did not want to leave. We will be back.

I really enjoyed this place along with the canal, and outdoor sitting areas. It is adorable! I chose to book here bc the listing said that a kayak was included. That is what I wanted to do daily. They didn't replace the kayaks after the hurricane, so the lisiting should be updated online. I understand the hurricanes really messed up the area, but there has been enough time to update the rental listing since then. There are places in town and around the area to rent kayaks from, but I am on a budget so renting a place that said a kayak was included was my way to save and have the convenience walking out the door and jumping into a kayak each day. I would have chosen a diff. place to rent had I known this detail, in advance to be able to cancel the reservation. All in all a nice place to stay :)

We had a very nice stay at the tiny house! (Keep in mind, it is tiny) But very comfortable!! An unique experience and the property was outstanding compared to all the other units in the vicinity. It had a nice spacious canal front deck, and kayaks with a launching deck. Complete mini kitchen and great coffee preps. The beds were very comfortable and unit was very clean and updated. Decorated nicely! Loved the loft! Great alternative to a hotel room. We would definitely stay at Matlacha Tiny Village again! 👍👍

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. We stayed 3 nights and mostly used it as a place to sleep at night while we visited family close by. They offered a deck area with a grill and kayaks to use but we didn’t get a chance to use them this stay. We would stay here again as it was a nice unique experience. There are a few things that we would like to mention. We had to call to get the door code because it was never sent to us like the email said it would the day of our stay. We were also in a bit of a panic because the phone number on the website was incorrect so it took us a bit to get it figured out and get the code. Since there were 5 of us we needed to use the couch bed. The sheets weren’t the cleanest and there was no blanket for it. Luckily we had family close by and could borrow a blanket. The bed pillows need to be replaced or more available on beds because they were a little flat. There were not enough towels for all 5 of us to use. Not sure if that was due to my husband not mentioning number of people for our stay when he booked. It also would be nice if there were a few hooks on the wall to hang clothes or towels

Very cute house and property however it didn’t seem to be cleaned the day before my boyfriend and I came to stay. It had loose hair in the shower, bathroom floor and chunks of dirt everywhere. I had to clean myself when I first arrived. Also some of the sheets were stained and had holes. Bed’s definitely need replacing because they’re insanely stiff.

Cute house. Watch out for the really low ceiling in the loft bedroom! Funky, fun area which seems to be slowly but surely recovering from hurricane damage. Traffic is dense due to construction/repair crews. Had a great meal at the Blue Dog Bar just down the street.

Nice little property that served its purpose for a single guy. I rented the Flamingo for two nights 2/3-2/4/2024 to be close to a friends house I was visiting in Cape Coral who is in failing health. I had realistic expectations for comfort as related by the pictures on the website. First night was pretty chilly and I turned off the A/c unit as it didn't provide heat. I used one of the other blankets with no issues. Next day I couldn't get the A/C turned back on despite using the operations manual. But the person I contacted was very responsive and took care of it. Thank you. the cost seemed reasonable until the extra Cleaning fees. Added together, I could have paid much less at a regular hotel and it would have been serviced daily. All in all not a bad experience but I could have saved $$ If not pressed for time. I would be cautious about renting during a inclement time periods. Side note everything within walking distance closes at 9:00 by local rules.

Although the tiny home is cute it definitely isn't functional as you must crawl on your hands and knees to get to your bed, the futon type couch in living space is very uncomfortable, traffic is super loud and crazy busy. Construction up the road was very noisy and not very relaxing and trying to find the location in the dark is pretty difficult as no lights outside showing homes and address. The air unit in the upper loft did not have a remote so inable to use and when communicating to owners and care takers I didnt get a response or any help.

This place is super cute and fun to stay at. It's in a great location with all the cool little shops and dining right there. We had a little glitch with the check in instructions but the owners were very responsive and I only had to wait a few minutes. I highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway.

There are a few things that we would like to mention. We had to call to get the door code because it was never sent to us like the email said it would the day of our stay. We were also in a bit of a panic because the phone number on the website was incorrect so it took us a bit to get it figured out and get the code. Since there were 5 of us we needed to use the couch bed. The sheets weren’t the cleanest and there was no blanket for it. Luckily we had family close by and could borrow a blanket. The bed pillows need to be replaced or more available on beds because they were a little flat. There were not enough towels for all 5 of us to use. Not sure if that was due to my husband not mentioning number of people for our stay when he booked. It also would be nice if there were a few hooks on the wall to hang clothes or towels
Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. We stayed 3 nights and mostly used it as a place to sleep at night while we visited family close by. They offered a deck area with a grill and kayaks to use but we didn’t get a chance to use them this stay. We would stay here again as it was a nice unique experience. Thank God! There was another hotel around the corner that had a vacancy for Memorial weekend. I spent 5 hours driving there, had lunch and went to property. It looked adorable, but I could not get in my room. The number to call was disconnected. The text number got no response, I finally got a response from them 5 hours later. They may want to improve the availability of someone should there be difficulty, I understood there was no one on property. They did refund my money and I would try to stay there again cause it looks adorable.

Nice little property that served its purpose for a single guy. I rented the Flamingo for two nights 2/3-2/4/2024 to be close to a friends house I was visiting in Cape Coral who is in failing health. I had realistic expectations for comfort as related by the pictures on the website. First night was pretty chilly and I turned off the A/c unit as it didn't provide heat. I used one of the other blankets with no issues. Next day I couldn't get the A/C turned back on despite using the operations manual. But the person I contacted was very responsive and took care of it. Thank you. the cost seemed reasonable until the extra Cleaning fees. Added together, I could have paid much less at a regular hotel and it would have been serviced daily. All in all not a bad experience but I could have saved $$ If not pressed for time. I would be cautious about renting during a inclement time periods. Side note everything within walking distance closes at 9:00 by local rules.

Quiet area and great little houses. Rented the margarita and was not disappointed. At one point our door lock failed and the manager was there within a few minutes to fix it. Would stay again!

Although the tiny home is cute it definitely isn't functional as you must crawl on your hands and knees to get to your bed, the futon type couch in living space is very uncomfortable, traffic is super loud and crazy busy. Construction up the road was very noisy and not very relaxing and trying to find the location in the dark is pretty difficult as no lights outside showing homes and address. The air unit in the upper loft did not have a remote so inable to use and when communicating to owners and care takers I didnt get a response or any help.

Cute house. Watch out for the really low ceiling in the loft bedroom! Funky, fun area which seems to be slowly but surely recovering from hurricane damage. Traffic is dense due to construction/repair crews. Had a great meal at the Blue Dog Bar just down the street.

Matlaca is a beautiful little town. It feels so old Florida. Everything is in walking distance from these tiny homes which are so cute and so adorable. Everything was ready for us upon our arrival. We ate at the blue dog restaurant, which was one block away, walking distance, and also the perfect cup…. Perfect cup has the most amazing coffee and incredible crab Benedict…. Blue Dog has some incredible food. Everything from the best cooking shrimp I’ve ever had to fresh fish great service definitely coming back to all these places, including the tiny house.
Matlaca is a beautiful little town. It feels so old Florida. Everything is in walking distance from these tiny homes which are so cute and so adorable. Everything was ready for us upon our arrival. Really nice Tiny house experience instead of chain hotel. Main road is a little noisy but the deck on the canal offsets the road. After Hurricane Ian the property looks brand new. We loved it and plan to go back.

Loved that it was right on the water and in the heart of Matlacha. Perfect little getaway spot!! I recommend everyone be able to leave aome kind of personalized painted rock, they were cute.

What a wonderful place to stay and an even more lovely island. The tiny house was just what we were hoping for, it was clean, cool, comfortable, quiet and most of all relaxing. We loved the use of the kayaks, the deck, how easy it was to check in and the quick response from the owners. Everything was close and in walking distance and visiting the other islands was just a short drive away. I’m so glad we got to experience the wonderful little flamingo tiny house. The resilience of Matlache is truly inspiring and we most definitely will be back again to stay at the tiny houses in this most beautiful town. Thank you for having us.

We stayed at Matlacha Tiny Village over Memorial Day weekend and absolutely loved it. The tiny house was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.
