This property was AWESOME!! Everything I could have asked for. The facility is gorgeous!! Great stone work and wood work all over the grounds. The workout facility is bigger and better than an hotel — and the pool is above and beyond. There are cabanas around the pool….a hot tub, a sauna. I sure wish I could have stayed a week!!! It is such a HIDDEN GEM! Can’t wait to come back! The staff was so accommodating as well 😀😀😀. Look for my pictures and check them out on Facebook too!!

Hands down one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. If you like quiet, comfort and solitude this is it. Beautiful Casita with great amenities and friendly staff. Only 10 minutes from Capitol Reef National Park.

Wonderful, comfortable and clean. Made even more delightful by the fact that this is a working ranch with lots of beautiful animals (including the most adorable baby goats at the time of our stay). Can’t recommend this place enough. Will definite try to come back.

Much nicer than normal private accommodations near Capitol Reef Park. New, nice design, nice facilities, nice staff. A few amenities still under construction, but enough done to be fine. Pretty setting. Close to Torrey restaurants.

We stayed at Cougar Ridge resort for 2 nights while visiting Capitol Reef NP and the surrounding area. We were so impressed with the resort that we tried to extend our stay, but they were booked. Every aspect of Cougar Ridge is CLASS - the setting, the design, the facilities, the materials, the craftsmanship, the furnishings, the amenities, the landscaping, the staff! It's nightly rate was comparable to other lodging options in the area, but it offered so much more. It is basically a guest-ranch, and could easily command a higher price. We stayed in one room of a 3-BR casita. It had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee-maker. These were high-end appliances, not your normal "motel-cheapies"! The furnishings were high qualify, and the craftsmanship of the stone and tile-work was superb. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to use the pool, hot tub, or firepit in one of the pool-side cabanas, but they are amenities that were available for guests. The reception staff - Susie and Jeri - was very friendly and provided exceptional service, including arranging an off-road tour with a local guide. Both days, we got to talk with the owner (Gary), when he stopped in the breakfast area for his morning coffee, while making his rounds of the property. How often does one have that opportunity? Cougar Ridge would be a great location for a family reunion or other large gathering. The existing facilities are quite adequate for such an event, but Gary has plans to develop even more.

Loved this place. Beautiful and out amongst the animals and nature. Enjoyed both the steam room and sauna. Wish we were staying for longer to enjoy the pickleball court. Delicious breakfast and nice room in the villa/casita. Will return again for sure. Was so handy to be able to charge our Rivian.

Our original reservations got canceled at the last minute so we ended up here at the Cougar Ridge Resort instead. Our stay here was amazing. It was peaceful and quiet. The grounds were well maintained. The room was new, modern, very clean, and comfortable. The shower was divine!! The staff was friendly and helpful. The only down side was the breakfast was a selection of cold foods and pre-packaged food you could microwave. Would definitely stay again.

Surrounded by amazing red rocks & well manicured property! Greeted with kindness & immediately felt very welcomed. The cabin we stayed in was well stocked & fit to the nines with everything we needed and more. All the features are above & beyond a typical hotel. It feels like a well proportioned tiny house. Provided with a s’more kit for a fun evening with the kids. The well stocked reception area is stylish and filled with so many free snack options & fun items to purchase! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a private getaway! Definitely 5 stars

My family and I had an amazing time at Cougar Ridge Lodge! The location is outstanding, the accommodations themselves were ultra lux and the staff went above and beyond at every turn. Very close proximity to Capital Reef, NP as well as Grand Staircase, Escalante and Bryce Canyon. This Resort is a must stay as you tour Utah's Mighty 5 or just want to get away from it all and experience southern Utah in all of it's glory. We are very well traveled and Cougar Ridge is honestly once of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Very clean, well maintained and luxury in the wilderness.

Stunning vista and superb cottages. But what's most special about the property is the management. Jake and his family were OUTSTANDING by every measure. They were so welcoming, warm, available, and spent a significant amount of time on a snow storm to dig our car out of snow while their smiles and great disposition never left their faces.

We have never enjoyed a stay this much. Suzy greeted us like we were her cousins from Texas and put us into a glorious suite! So QUIET! It was a fabulous base from which to visit Capitol Reef. You choose and warm your own breakfast, but the choices were phenomenal. I was partial to the frittata. We ate in the suite every morning. Can't wait to return to Utah and to Cougar Ridge!

We stayed at Cougar Ridge resort for 2 nights while visiting Capitol Reef NP and the surrounding area. We were so impressed with the resort that we tried to extend our stay, but they were booked. Every aspect of Cougar Ridge is CLASS - the setting, the design, the facilities, the materials, the craftsmanship, the furnishings, the amenities, the landscaping, the staff! It's nightly rate was comparable to other lodging options in the area, but it offered so much more. It is basically a guest-ranch, and could easily command a higher price. We stayed in one room of a 3-BR casita. It had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee-maker. These were high-end appliances, not your normal "motel-cheapies"! The furnishings were high qualify, and the craftsmanship of the stone and tile-work was superb. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to use the pool, hot tub, or firepit in one of the pool-side cabanas, but they are amenities that were available for guests. The reception staff - Susie and Jeri - was very friendly and provided exceptional service, including arranging an off-road tour with a local guide. Both days, we got to talk with the owner (Gary), when he stopped in the breakfast area for his morning coffee, while making his rounds of the property. How often does one have that opportunity? Cougar Ridge would be a great location for a family reunion or other large gathering. The existing facilities are quite adequate for such an event, but Gary has plans to develop even more.

Stunning vista and superb cottages. But what's most special about the property is the management. Jake and his family were OUTSTANDING by every measure. They were so welcoming, warm, available, and spent a significant amount of time on a snow storm to dig our car out of snow while their smiles and great disposition never left their faces.

Close to Capital Reef NP, very friendly family owned ranch, high quality rooms and a great breakfast selection. We only stayed for one night but wish we woulda stayed here longer. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it to any of our friends that are visiting Capital Reef NP.

Hands down one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. If you like quiet, comfort and solitude this is it. Beautiful Casita with great amenities and friendly staff. Only 10 minutes from Capitol Reef National Park.

Much nicer than normal private accommodations near Capitol Reef Park. New, nice design, nice facilities, nice staff. A few amenities still under construction, but enough done to be fine. Pretty setting. Close to Torrey restaurants.

My family and I had an amazing time at Cougar Ridge Lodge! The location is outstanding, the accommodations themselves were ultra lux and the staff went above and beyond at every turn. Very close proximity to Capital Reef, NP as well as Grand Staircase, Escalante and Bryce Canyon. This Resort is a must stay as you tour Utah's Mighty 5 or just want to get away from it all and experience southern Utah in all of it's glory. We are very well traveled and Cougar Ridge is honestly once of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Very clean, well maintained and luxury in the wilderness.

We have never enjoyed a stay this much. Suzy greeted us like we were her cousins from Texas and put us into a glorious suite! So QUIET! It was a fabulous base from which to visit Capitol Reef. You choose and warm your own breakfast, but the choices were phenomenal. I was partial to the frittata. We ate in the suite every morning. Can't wait to return to Utah and to Cougar Ridge!

Our original reservations got canceled at the last minute so we ended up here at the Cougar Ridge Resort instead. Our stay here was amazing. It was peaceful and quiet. The grounds were well maintained. The room was new, modern, very clean, and comfortable. The shower was divine!! The staff was friendly and helpful. The only down side was the breakfast was a selection of cold foods and pre-packaged food you could microwave. Would definitely stay again.

Loved this place. Beautiful and out amongst the animals and nature. Enjoyed both the steam room and sauna. Wish we were staying for longer to enjoy the pickleball court. Delicious breakfast and nice room in the villa/casita. Will return again for sure. Was so handy to be able to charge our Rivian.

We enjoyed our stay at the ranch. We decided to have dinner on the patio and watch the goats having their dinner as well. This will be an even lockier place when the projects are completed.
