No public transportation around. Very basic hotel.

I’m a trucker and stay here every month when passing through Houston. The team at this America’s Best location are polite, professional, and always strive to accommodate me (even when I show up unannounced and unexpected.) Guys, they have big truck parking, fresh hot showers, and a comfy clean room. Definitely a hidden gem on this side of HTown.

The area around this property is terrible. There is rail yard nearby and you can hear train noise all the time. Room did not have iron and hair dryer. They provided after the request.

They don't even give you water in the room, horrible

The room was clean. Office manager was very polite and accomodating. However, location was poor; nothing around it. No real amenities. TV worked but then went out.

Stayed here as truck driver, for me was important safe truck/trailer parking.

Great stay, clean room, and well lit area. We were there for pleasure and the room did not disappoint. The room was clean.

Truckers delight. There is plenty of truck parking with cameras and lots of room to maneuver. Place is clean and quiet.

Stay was good. Clean and convenient. Only issue was having to ask for toilet paper and towels, but service was excellent.

Overall it was a good hotel for the price the only thing was there were blood stains on the both of the bed sheets .

Room was nasty sheets stunk everything was dirty. Had to wipe down the headboards on both beds and they were dirty. The towel was black when we got done. It smelled like pee in the room

This place was nothing short of gross. The sheets were stained in a scary spot, the bathtub was dirty and there were urine dribbles around the toilet. Horrific.

There waz some stuff that looked like vomit on the chair arm and also on the front of the air conditioner

Great clean affordable

I enjoyed my stay but a noise issue was my main issue with the place. I know it's a truck stop area and near the highway but there was a consistent train horn at night and it was loud enough to keep me up a few nights. I'm not a light sleeper so this was annoying since I was in town for a 3 day festival and wanted to get good rest. Besides this the place was clean and newly renovated. No bed bugs or cockroaches. Which is important but the noise issue is why I took a star off. We were placed at the bottom of the stairs which isn't ideal cause people were running up and down at all hours. The location is a little tricky for Lyft/Uber drivers, more than half of them couldn't find the location and I had to walk out to meet them. It's not obvious that it's behind the super 8 motel. Overall it was a decent stay, i just wish we were placed in a better room that wasn't at the bottom of a staircase and that it wasn't so noisy outside of the hotel. One more thing to note, housekeeping is amazing at this location. very kind and helpful women.

The hotel seemed newly built. The interior looked brand new and the rooms were very clean. However, there was very little breakfast despite what they advertised. The breakfast only consisted of muffins, granola bars, and coffee. I stayed at a very similar hotel in Austin in the same price range and they had full breakfast service with a pool and a gym. I just hope the management can keep this place up.

It was hard to GPS just because of the way the property is set up but over all it was a great stay! The room was clean and very nice, it was right next to a whataburger which after 18 hours of traveling was amazing to just walk right to and not have to worry about Huston traffic to find somewhere to eat. I would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Fairly quiet

Excellent service both front desk and housekeeping. It isn’t the fanciest like Hilton or Marriott but they sure as hell do an amazing job at keeping it super well maintained. Lobby and rooms are very nice updated. We stayed for 4 days 3 nights and loved it. It odd also close to everything. There is awhataburger in the same lot. Thank you for great service.

Super clean room except for the residual smoking smell, even in a non-smoking room. It's not too bad and you can get use to it, but just bummed that it wasn't fully non-smoking. The smell was stronger when the shower was on and steam drew out the smell from the shower curtain. The bed, room, and even the microwave were immaculate. Floor is hardwood and very clean; I was able to be barefoot without any trouble. Great entertainment system, but slightly weak Wi-Fi. All in all, it was a decent stay.

It was advertised as queen size beds but they were much smaller than a queen. There was no conditioner or hand soap provided for us and when we went to ask for some they just gave us more shampoo. The room was extremely dry. There was a random high pitch noise that would occur every couple minutes. You can hear everything outside. The train is loud. The beds were very uncomfortable. The walls and baseboards and floors are all very dirty. They do not clean well. There was a lot of honking in the parking lot. We did not sleep at all.

The stay at American best hotel was amazing. It was great clean bathrooms the floors the towels smell good everything was wonderful. The office people was amazing. I had a little slight problem with my TV. I couldn’t get the sound and he was there before I can hang the phone up so everything was amazing. I will be coming back and I will be looking for American best hotels to stay in. Thank you. Keep up the great work

They are clean and nice .. housekeeping is very considerate.. it's a good place for stay .. check in easy and they are sweet and easy to talk to if need anything !! Good comfortable clean space , most definitely recommended !!!! 5 stars

The place was clean stayed for 2 nights but they have everything locked up in the office, people were smoking weed like crazy and everything smelled like weed . Outside inside etc.Check out is at 11 am I put the do not disturb sign out but they start banging at 9:00 am and continue until you check out. Very rude and they open your door too! I was naked getting dressed ! Even when you tell them you are checking out at 11 they keep coming back banging to see if you left for 2 hours !

Easy to check in .. staff are easy going and nice .. rooms are clean and comfortable

We stayed here for a quick trip for a show in Houston. Literally only needed the room to sleep in. We did not appreciate the woman at the front desk calling us at 1am because we had a guest in our room that dropped us off. Then check out is at 11am & we got a knock on our door at 9am & a phone call asking if we will be checking out at 11am. We were sleeping still so this was quite annoying. We have never had am experience like this with a hotel. Definitely will never stay here again.

Very disappointed, my flight was canceled 2 days in a row ruining a 6 day trip and they would not refund any of my hotel costs, very shady and unethical, especially since i had no control over it.

Couldn’t make it for family emergency reasons and hotel wouldn’t grant a refund. So can’t give an honest opinion on service, room amenities, room cleanness etc.

Overall stay was good; the room was clean and the area was quiet. Check-in was a breeze and the front desk rep was nice. My major complaints, 1) they offer complimentary "breakfast" which consisted of only orange/apple juice and coffee. I don\'t know about anyone else, but I would not consider that breakfast. 2) Our A/C was not working since the 1st night we were there. I left the room shortly after arriving and came back quite late and went straight to bed. I unfortunately didn\'t think to check the A/C when I felt the room humid and hot because I was extremely tired. Once up I headed right out and came back again late. I called the front desk to let them know of the issue and the front desk clerk (different from check-in) sounded annoyed the entire time. The cherry on top was the front desk clerk annoyingly asking me why I hadn\'t complained about the A/C the night before or morning. They also asked me to check that the thermostat was correctly set, which it was, but had to come to the still make sure. We ended up being switched rooms, but the experience was unpleasant. 3)when picking up new room key, clerk asked me to translate a Spanish call. They were trying to know if guest was going to check-in but the guest had already paid and was in the room, mind you, it was past midnight.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff was very accommodating and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay . Family oriented facility my three girls and I stayed there for two nights and we could’ve have felt any safer . Will visit again !

Recently redone. Busy roads getting out, other than Whataburger, Subway and a food truck there weren’t many places to eat nearby.

Always clean and close to downtown.

The property is located near a Whataburger, not far from other locations. Extremely quiet. Lots of truck drivers in area. Overall good stay and would use again.

It’s out of the way from traffic so it makes it easier to get to downtown

This property is very well maintained and not far from downtown Houston!

Property is not “downtown” as it states it’s not a long drive but in Houston traffic becomes long. Area seems a little sus if you’re looking for city vibes this area is not the hustle and bustle you’re probably expecting. The stay was good, staff, accommodating. If you’re looking for cheap and good it’s a nice stay if you’re thinking you’re in downtown it’s not that but if you’ve got your own car and driving downtown is about a 15-20 minute drive away depending on traffic.

The hotel and the staff were good, my only complaint is about the breakfast. It was so bad, very limited. Better don't offer anything and we will be prepared to get it on our own.
