Very friendly staff in this seaside lovely property. Rooms are clean light and airy with lovely pictures of seaside theme. Car parking free and wifi included as well as amazing freshly cooked breakfast. Lovely powerful shower even on the top floor with all amenities. Room includes tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and water as well as a fridge. One of the loveliest friendly seaside small hotels I have stayed in (9 rooms). Lovely access to seating area and beach directly in front of hotel road. Rooms are located on 3 floors so please ask for a ground floor if stairs are a challenge.

Perfect location, right on the prom overlooking the sea and estuary. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and decorated. Great cafe which is attached to the cafe, which residents can access directly. Had a great breakfast butty there. Host Allison was extremely welcoming and helpful. Plenty private parking. Just be careful when you fling back the curtains if you have a sea view... you are literally overlooking lots of dog walkers, children going to the beach etc! Make sure you are decent 😆. 10/10

This room was amazing! The sea was at the back door. The rooms were large, cozy and impeccably clean. The hostess, Allison, was very sweet and accommodating. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel! Easy to find and great parking.

A nice quiet accomodation. The rooms were clean and quiet. The management aren't on-site all the time and their locking system is a little tricky to master. All in all, a pleasant stay for those looking for something quiet and secluded.

Our room had a sea view, and it also faces the kids’ playground on the promenade, so was noisy at times. The room was large and comfortable but the mattress was a lot softer that what we’re used to, so didn’t sleep very well. The staff was friendly snd breakfast was good. Parking on site was very convenient.

Our room was quite lovely. It overlooked the ocean. It was very clean. The innkeeper was a very kind woman. She gave us a lot of information about dining options in the area and information about taking the local train (we were taking a train to London the next day). I would have loved to have spent more time here.

Bad smell in the bathroom which I told the owner about. Poor response, I will never stay here again- sorry but I was trying to help them by explaining. Just disregarded. Apparently the hubby is an expert in all things microbiological. I’d left the fan on for hours and the smell did not go. Had a sore throat the next day.

When we pulled up outside we were a little worried about what we had booked but once inside our opinion quickly changed. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything you would need. Beautiful views out over the beach. Breakfast was very tasty and cooked to order so nice and fresh. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay, comfortable room and a great view. Alison made us very welcome and was very helpful. Breakfast was served to our liking with a choice of traditional or continental. Good drinks and snacks in the room, that were well received. Bathroom had a great shower, but the space around the sink and toilet was very limited. The sink was tilted and seemed to be precarious and easily dribbled water onto the floor. I think the location is really good and the overall decor is is well considered. Some small door hooks would be helpful on the rear of the main door. Hopefully we will be back soon to enjoy another stay.

Thus was such a lovely place.to stay with amazing seafront front views from our room. Very lucky to have sunny weathed which added to the enjoyment. Excellent welcome and attention to detail.

A nice quiet accomodation. The rooms were clean and quiet. The management aren't on-site all the time and their locking system is a little tricky to master. All in all, a pleasant stay for those looking for something quiet and secluded.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Roxburgh. My room was bright and spacious and had an amazing view. Alison was very welcoming and provided great information about the area. Breakfast was also really good.

Our room was quite lovely. It overlooked the ocean. It was very clean. The innkeeper was a very kind woman. She gave us a lot of information about dining options in the area and information about taking the local train (we were taking a train to London the next day). I would have loved to have spent more time here.

Perfect location, right on the prom overlooking the sea and estuary. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and decorated. Great cafe which is attached to the cafe, which residents can access directly. Had a great breakfast butty there. Host Allison was extremely welcoming and helpful. Plenty private parking. Just be careful when you fling back the curtains if you have a sea view... you are literally overlooking lots of dog walkers, children going to the beach etc! Make sure you are decent 😆. 10/10

The hotel is a family run business. They are friendly, kind and very likable. If you are planning a visit to Northumberland, this is the place to be. The view of the North Sea, along with the promenade are wonderful. The neighborhood is quiet with easy access to local tourist sites. I would stay there again.

Our room had a sea view, and it also faces the kids’ playground on the promenade, so was noisy at times. The room was large and comfortable but the mattress was a lot softer that what we’re used to, so didn’t sleep very well. The staff was friendly snd breakfast was good. Parking on site was very convenient.

I thoroughly recommend to stay in the hotel. Close to the sea, walking distance from the town centre and idea for walks along the promenade!

Very welcoming and homey with a beautiful view of the sea. Staff was very helpful when we needed a change and was able to accommodate us longer. The full Scottish breakfast in the dining room was delicious . The perfect peaceful lovely stay !

We had a lovely stay, comfortable room and a great view. Alison made us very welcome and was very helpful. Breakfast was served to our liking with a choice of traditional or continental. Good drinks and snacks in the room, that were well received. Bathroom had a great shower, but the space around the sink and toilet was very limited. The sink was tilted and seemed to be precarious and easily dribbled water onto the floor. I think the location is really good and the overall decor is is well considered. Some small door hooks would be helpful on the rear of the main door. Hopefully we will be back soon to enjoy another stay.

The hotel was very nice you can tell it has just been refurbished. My only small criticism would be the breakfast (not the price which is very reasonable) just the quality of the sausage.

Very clean and well presented.Room was lovely and had comfortable bed and excellent shower/en suite,the room also had a fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. Breakfast was super with plenty of choices.

Stayed 29th May 26. The entrance is not from the sea front, but there is pedestrian access during the day as they run a café. Alison kept us well informed before we arrived and she met us at the door. Lots of useful information about buses and taxies in the hall way. Take a photo, as I think for some to walk in is a bit far. Our twin room, Number 5 on the 2nd floor had the best view over the sea, and had everything we needed, including a pair of binoculars. There is a walk-in shower in the bathroom which was ideal for us. Can't say much more as it was so perfect.

It's a 25 minute walk from the train station or a 5 minute taxi ride. There's a beach outside with a playground for kids, cafes, and a lovely promenade. My room was clean and well stocked. The owner and staff were lovely.

Immaculate rooms. Super friendly staff who were incredibly accommodating. Easy parking. Fabulous views from the room. Would highly recommend and we hope to be back again next year.
