Our party was two married couples all about 60 years old staying one night. We found the space clean, well stocked with a small grocery store close by. The owner was easy to communicate with and provided excellent information. Renters do need to be aware of the loft bedroom access via pull down ladder as some might find it challenging. However, we did not and would stay there again.

Stayed 2 nights

I had not realized on booking that the second bedroom was in the loft and accessible by a wooden loft ladder. Both my sister and I are retired and neither of us could get the ladder down. We decided not to contact Helen as we wouldn't have been able to go up and down the ladder anyway. It is very steep and doesn't have any handrailsThe property itself is an old style cottage with a good size kitchen which had some groceries to start us off. A lovely touch after a 7 hour journey. The living area is a good size but the sofa is only really for two people so if there are four of you then you would be on chairs. We were unable to turn on the shower but after messaging Helen she came back quickly to tell us to pull the cord outside the shower. We arrived late and in the dark and could find the parking space which turned out to be at the front. There was a van parked next to it and it was tight to get into with an SUV. I had to go onto the garden bit so the car wasn't sticking out into the road. For some reason we both couldn't get the lock box open with the key in. Safe to say it would be easier without long nails. The double bed was comfortable in the bedroom and we found extra throws in the cupboard. There was a free standing heater in there which I had on a couple of times. Unfortunately there is another property that goes over the bedroom and it sounded like they were moving furniture and walking about for an hour and a half on the last night. Not the property owners fault

Nice clean organized property. 2nd bedroom more challenging to access as in loft space via a drop-down ladder.

The cottage was very homely, very clean in an ideal location, it was perfect for my elderly dog with a park right across the street .we will definitely have a return visit.
