This was a very nice local motel. Very clean and just a couple of minutes from town. Mike the proprietor was very accommodating nice and quiet. Loved the kitchenette. Would highly recommend.

The room was Sparkling clean. Beds were comfortable and made up excellently! Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee pot (coffee, cream, sugar provided) were all in good working order and very clean. The kitchenware, plates, cups, silverware were also very clean. There is No Maid Service at this motel. Not a problem. Manager provided his number and any fresh towels, linens, soap, shampoo, dish washing liquid, coffee required were delivered on the spot. Kind of unique, but the system was run smoothly. Would stay there again. Very peaceful and quiet. No problems at all.

The place was small but perfect for what we needed. Everything was clean and comfy. My husband, who grew up in the country, noticed some farm smells, but I wasn't bothered by them (I mean, you are in the middle of a bunch of farm fields). They were redoing their parking lot, so we parked on the grass, which was fine.

Bad Axe Motel may not be a new modern establishment, but it's updated, very clean, comfortable beds, equipped kitchenette, in the country on a main road, & convenient location. With parking right in front of room door. I would absolutely stay again, and recommend it.

For a motel my partner and I had a pretty great experience! We were impressed by the nice and clean beds, kitchenette, and bathroom. We wish the water didn't smell like city water though, and the floors were swept but it seemed like they weren't mopped very well.

Unassuming property with quaint rooms and many amenities, including microwave, kitchen-style sink in room, fridge, DishTV, and even a hot plate and toaster! A pleasant surprise for the accommodation! Manager was very friendly and attentive, even walking guests to their rooms to ensure everything is proper when checking-in. Motel location is just outside of town, with access to various restaurants, grocery stores, and entertainment.

The motel was in a reasonable location relative to the town of Bad Axe. The room was clean, comfortable and remarkably well appointed for its size. It had a fridge and microwave and even a small hotplate for cooking, along with various utensils. My only real concern about the accommodation has to do with security. The door lock to the room did not seem especially substantial, and there was no security lock. I'd suggest that security locks be installed on all the doors.

It’s an older model motel. But has been updated to a degree, the rooms are tiny, not close to anything in walking distance , there’s no one at the desk you have to call the number and the manager lives a few minutes away, he’s polite but the whole experience made working out there much less exciting.. I recommend this place if your only staying one night and your desperate. I hate leaving a bad review and I understand that it’s an old school establishment but when I’d ponder sleeping in my car. That’s not good

I could not check in because the office was locked and full of furniture and junk. Nobody would answer the phone. If I'm charged for this booking there will be hell to pay. Dirty and unsafe.

The location is central if you are doing activities in various locations in the northern thumb. The rooms have recently been redone and are very nice and clean with fresh paint, new vanities, and new flooring. The beds were very comfortable. It would be nice if small bar of soap was provided and kleenex (small things, but can make a big difference when you don't pack your own :)). It was very reasonably priced and I was glad there was NOT a two night minimum stay required.

Bad Axe Motel may not be a new modern establishment, but it's updated, very clean, comfortable beds, equipped kitchenette, in the country on a main road, & convenient location. With parking right in front of room door. I would absolutely stay again, and recommend it.

Unassuming property with quaint rooms and many amenities, including microwave, kitchen-style sink in room, fridge, DishTV, and even a hot plate and toaster! A pleasant surprise for the accommodation! Manager was very friendly and attentive, even walking guests to their rooms to ensure everything is proper when checking-in. Motel location is just outside of town, with access to various restaurants, grocery stores, and entertainment.

The motel was in a reasonable location relative to the town of Bad Axe. The room was clean, comfortable and remarkably well appointed for its size. It had a fridge and microwave and even a small hotplate for cooking, along with various utensils. My only real concern about the accommodation has to do with security. The door lock to the room did not seem especially substantial, and there was no security lock. I'd suggest that security locks be installed on all the doors.

It was peaceful and quiet, the room was immaculate, almost as if it were brand new. If you've ever been to hotel/ motel that had 40 coats of paint and was painted by 40 different blind people with Parkinson's you understand what I am saying. I recommend you ask for extra towels when you check in just to be sure you have enough. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the AC was perfect. The only reason for the 4 stars was we didn't have enough towels but they did deliver later that evening. I should not be so petty but if you registered 4 people there needs to be enough for 4 people.
