Only one elevator was working the whole time

Loved it, but wish pool indoors was heated. Too cold to use

Two car alarms went off all night which kept me awake. Front desk said they couldn’t do anything about it because they didn’t know who the cars belonged to. The indoor pool was not heated and therefore ice cold.

The property was modern, clean and looked fairly new. One of my issues was with staff interaction over the phone with members of our party concerning reservations. From what I could hear they were downright threatening and rude and there were several instances of miscommunication oh behalf of the hotel and its policies from staff. This was very disappointing and made for a contentious checkin. Outside of this the air conditioning in the hallways and elevators did not work. We were told they had been using backup generators for over a month. Each couple in our party complained of only being provided 1 set of towels in the room and when more were requested only bath-size towels were available. We checked in around 11:05 pm. All in our party agreed we will not patron Tru again.

I stayed for 2 nights and it was great for me and my woman. The pool is not heated and it’s inside so it doesn’t really warm up either. But other than that it’s was great and they have games in the lobby. And there’s great food close by.

Our stay was ruined. It was spring break and the weather wasn’t good so we decided to do a staycation at this hotel mainly so the girls could swim. We get there. We get checked in. The girls are excited. We go get changed for the pool. Get to the pool and it is ice cold. I mean cold cold. My 7 year old tries to get in anyway Thinking maybe my buddy will adjust. Her teeth being to chatter. Time to get out. She was inconsolable because she was so looking forward to being able to swim. When we complained to the front desk he told us the Pool was not heated and there was nothing he could do. I immediately inquired about a refund. They should put stuff like that on the website because had I known the Pool wasn’t heated I would not have chosen that hotel. They said I world have my refund within 72 hours. This was Thursday it’s Monday I’m still waiting.

We reserved this hotel ONLY because of the pool. It was further out than we wanted, but having the pool with kids was the deciding factor. I called a week prior to arrival to confirm our reservation and make sure everything was correct. NOTHING was mentioned about the pool being closed. We arrived expecting for our kids to be able to swim and have fun on our vacation. Upon check in STILL nothing was mentioned about the pool being closed. We had to walk down there to find out it was closed. So extremely disappointed in their lack of communication. The bathroom was dirty, and when someone showered the whole room would fill up with steam since there wasn’t an exhausted fan in the bathroom. Another day, we were surprised again while going down to get breakfast. A note in the elevator, said the WHOLE hotel water will be shut off for most of the day?!? So we couldn’t shower, flush the toilet, brush teeth??! The TV would freeze up and completely stop working, we asked for maintenance and were told it would be the next day till they could come! The workers were friendly the beds were comfy. But, we were extremely disappointed with the hotel facility. When we asked the manager if they would do anything to compensate us for all the inconveniences, all they did is gave $50 off a 8 day reservation! Went to visit family, so next time we DEFINITELY will not stay there!!!

This was an easy stay - check in was simple and hotel was nice. Nice pool and gym. Coffee machine wasn't working so no coffee in the am - that was the only issue!

Great family hotel! Had a pool table and a lot of board games in the lobby. Clean and area was safe.

It is a clean hotel, lobby is fun with pool table, jenga and connect four. Indoor pool is also nice. But the walls were so thin, we heard every door in the entire building the entire night, every noise inside or out kept us awake. No one in my family slept at all the entire night- and that was after we had two different white noise devices turned on.

Overall ot was a nice stay, the room was very quiet even though it was across from the elevator, which was nice for sleeping. The bed was firm with soft pillows. Only three pillows were given on a king bed, but it worked for us. Staff was friendly during the check in and out process. The complimentary breakfast was convenient, and although it wasn’t stocked initially, they quickly replenished it. I deducted one star for cleanliness due to dirt particles being under the modular bench under the TV, and while I wiped the floor with a paper towel we brought, a lot of additional surface dirt transferred to the paper towel indicating the hard floor had not been mopped in a while.

Very nice and clean hotel

This hotel was in a run down neighborhood. Lots of business warehouses around. Homeless people on streets. Hotel bathroom was the worst. Tub has cracks in it. Tub ceiling had mold on it. The bed was comfy. Disabled room was huge. It echoed. But ok.

There was nothing to like the countertops had smear marks where they used the same towel to clean the commode the bathroom counter in the desk in the room you could see the filth in the germs on top of the desk. You walked through the room and you under your feet, so you had to wear flip-flops the entire time. The shower and the counter in the bathroom and smeared germs all over it hair and dust was under the sink next to the commode I sneezed the entire night. This was the worst experience I’ve had in 58 years!

The window shades in the room were not working and the room was super dark. Nice room however.

Our room was nice, quiet, spacious. All light fixtures worked except one. I need to tell them. Comfortable beds, decent breakfast included. But the A/C was LOUD. Two settings. Loud and off.

The room was really small. It was not as clean as we would have liked and the air conditioner sweated all over the floor. Besides breakfast, no other food served and no bar. The bed was hard as a rock and the linens were rough.

The room was very nice except for the fact there were no drawers or closet.

Easy check in, great shower, and good complimentary breakfast. Bed was very uncomfortable. AC and fridge were loud.

Room was clean, but the bed is platform style and the edges on foot of bed sticks out causing to bump my leg and I have a huge bruise.

The room was too small . Not even had a microwave.

We had a terrible experience during the check in process. We were given Rm 207 and yet there were people inside already using the room. I complained to the receptionist and she told me that my name was booked for that room. Unfortunately, we were assigned to a different room that doesn't have a disability accommodation that we supposedly booked for my daughter. It was terrible and made us frustrated. We always book in this hotel because of the accessibility of the place that we wanted to go. No service recovery has been done to me and my family. FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Unfriendly receptionist.

The hotel is what you expect, its very clean, it was very quiet, good quiet location, it had a number of restaurants within walking distance. I wish I could remember her name but the lady working the front desk was super nice and accommodating. Being a business owner myself, I wish I had a staff that friendly.

No towels in the bathroom for 2 days! Receptionist saying they don’t have housekeepers for some time!! UNACCEPTABLE!! Had to go buy my own towels to shower!

Excellent customer service. The staff member Lucy Maina was very nice and courteous.

Check in staff was not accommodating. Irritated when asked with questions. TV not working and when help was asked, staff was irritated saying "I am not maintenance", and never bothered to help. Bathroom doesn't have shower curtains, so all water were splashing on the floor when we took shower.

We stayed here after the storm knocked out the power for most of the city. As busy as the hotel was the staff remained friendly and professional the whole time. Staff attitude really made a big difference during this difficult time. I would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

The staff was amazing and very friendly. I did not have to go and reset my room key card not once and that is well worth a five-star visit! Needed towels for the pool and received warm towels from Jacqueline

I had to go to the front fest 2 out of the 4 days we were there to request towels and to request they empty our garbage can. We were there four nights and no one attempted to make the bed or straighten out the sheets. Paying over $100 a day, you should get some service. We won’t be back.

I had to call to call for early check in. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The room has your name on the TV screen welcoming you in. The hotel has lots of amenities. It is also in a good location.

The property was in great shape. However, it was a hard to find and situated behind a Goodwill store (?). Room was very nice and so were the employees.

Good place with good location and lots of restaurants and store around the hotel. You will get what you are paying for.

Great area safe ! Dining close by pool area clean and pool table for adults. Room was clean beds very comfortable. Only problem the hallways are hot walking to room I was on the 4th floor. No other problems and yes the staff was awesome!

It’s a clean safe place to sleep when working. I’ll be back.

The stay was amazing The only point I want to highlight, the pet fee for one dog is ($50)? Why is not $25, BTW, i have 2 dogs (11 pound, 18 pounds) ,total $100 for both, why ? The price for the hotel is understandable, but the fees (right and left) I arrive late this morning I didn’t get the breakfast, the coffee was delicious though..

Clean hotel, breakfast was nice, room was simple but quiet and quaint.

The breakfast was not good at all no really good healthy options the oatmeal was mush , everything had so much sugar, coffee tasted like water. I could not get the blind down and it was home right there I felt they could see in the windows . Customer service was good

Had a great nights stay. I was in town visiting family and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staff kept it full and clean.

No coffee pot in room - no closet - not many channels on tv - room was small - breakfast was terrible - shouldn't put stuff in eggs not everyone like onions and bell peppers - put it on the side

The eggs seemed powdery and the sausage links were terrible. Pancakes were great
