Rooms have a certain charm. Owners are always friendly and informative. The only downside that gave us concern is that the entry doors had a habit of sticking. Being an older home the owner warned us about it.

I stayed in the 1bedroom apartment. The apartment was spacious and had everything one would need. It was colorfully decorated. It had wifi and cable tv. I will definitely stay at the Freedom House again.

We were in town for a concert at the Center Theatre (two adults, two young kids) and this was a perfect place to stay! I loved being able to walk to the venue and to get dinner beforehand. With three bedrooms in the B&B, there was more than enough space and the beds were really comfortable. It was helpful to have a large kitchen and the living room was really cozy. My kids loved the free movies and chocolate chip cookies too!

We so enjoyed our stay. We had the 3 bedroom apartment for 4 days. The bed was the most amazing bed I have ever slept in. We enjoyed the country charm of the set up of the B&B! Just know the stairs are very steep so this unit might not be for you, but this older 2 story houses had the steep stairs. If we were to go back we would definitely stay there again❤️

Mike was a great host! We had a self. Contained small apartment. The only down side was the stairs, but we are older. Would definitely recommed it and we will stay there again.

We were met by one of the owners when we arrived. He was lovely and personable. He showed us the property, where to park, and we were able to settle into our room. The room had everything you might need. The room was a bit small, but that’s an issue of preference. There wasn’t anything wrong with the space, just wanted a bit more of it. *Excellent* water pressure in the shower. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The bed might have been too squishy for our preference, but again- it’s a preference and not anything “wrong” with it. Thankfully the weekend was cool enough that the temperature was a non-issue, although there was a small AC in the window. We will certainly stay again!

This place was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom extremely clean. Shampoo, shower gel and lotion were provided. Cookies and bottled water were provided upon arrival, which was a nice touch. Also in the room was a Keurig coffee maker with Dunkin K-cups. Great location. On the mildly negative side, the TV was on the wall 90-degrees to the side of the bed instead of in front of the bed, which made watching a challenge. If you like to watch TV before bed, this may not be the right choice for you. The AC was a little noisy but tolerable. And I would have preferred conditioner to shower gel, as shampoo can serve double duty, especially when soap is also offered. Otherwise a lovely stay.

What a lovely property. I felt like I walked into a wonderful fairy tale. Mike greeted us with hospitality and cheer. Our room had a private entrance. It was such a bright, welcoming space. Clean with all the bells and whistles laid out. Bed crisp and comfortable with plenty of fluffy pillows. Outdoor sitting area with fire pit, chairs and picnic table is lovely with flowers, fruit trees, string lights, bird feeders. I recommend 100%. I hope to get back up here next year.

Wonderful B&B! The owners are lovely and incredibly kind. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING (seriously- reserve your breakfast, you won’t regret it). The room was extremely comfortable and clean. Would make it out to Dover Foxcroft again just to stay here again!

Very nice B & B. Located right downtown so easy to walk anywhere. Immaculately clean. Super comfortable bed with home-made chocolate chip cookies on my pillow. Friendly host. Wish I hadn't had to leave before breakfast.

We loved everything about this place! The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, the room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the attention to detail was much appreciated. Breakfast was delish and very filling. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Dover-Foxcroft!

The room and facilities was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. It is nestled in town but away from the business to keep the noise volume down. The only draw back is it smelled like propane. Not sure if it is what the heating sustem ran off from. We stay again I will inquire on if the heating system runs on propane.

Freedom House offers very modern, updated and comfortable rooms in a historic building within a really cute town. The bed was one of the most comfortable, ever, and make sure you opt for the breakfast, delicious and filling.

My room was very cozy and well equipped. The breakfast on Sunday was marvellous! Thank you to Elizabeth and Mike for four true days of vacation in their Freedom House! One point maybe worth mentioning: the bed was quite soft. But this is a matter of personal preferences.

Wonderful B&B! The owners are lovely and incredibly kind. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING (seriously- reserve your breakfast, you won’t regret it). The room was extremely comfortable and clean. Would make it out to Dover Foxcroft again just to stay here again!

It was a great place to stay for our hiking trip in the Moosehead lake region. The owners were friendly and knowledgeable. The room was great with all of the comforts of home. We would definitely recommend it if you are staying in the area.

We were met by one of the owners when we arrived. He was lovely and personable. He showed us the property, where to park, and we were able to settle into our room. The room had everything you might need. The room was a bit small, but that’s an issue of preference. There wasn’t anything wrong with the space, just wanted a bit more of it. *Excellent* water pressure in the shower. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The bed might have been too squishy for our preference, but again- it’s a preference and not anything “wrong” with it. Thankfully the weekend was cool enough that the temperature was a non-issue, although there was a small AC in the window. We will certainly stay again!

What a lovely property. I felt like I walked into a wonderful fairy tale. Mike greeted us with hospitality and cheer. Our room had a private entrance. It was such a bright, welcoming space. Clean with all the bells and whistles laid out. Bed crisp and comfortable with plenty of fluffy pillows. Outdoor sitting area with fire pit, chairs and picnic table is lovely with flowers, fruit trees, string lights, bird feeders. I recommend 100%. I hope to get back up here next year.

Very nice B & B. Located right downtown so easy to walk anywhere. Immaculately clean. Super comfortable bed with home-made chocolate chip cookies on my pillow. Friendly host. Wish I hadn't had to leave before breakfast.

We were in town for a concert at the Center Theatre (two adults, two young kids) and this was a perfect place to stay! I loved being able to walk to the venue and to get dinner beforehand. With three bedrooms in the B&B, there was more than enough space and the beds were really comfortable. It was helpful to have a large kitchen and the living room was really cozy. My kids loved the free movies and chocolate chip cookies too!

Elizabeth and her husband have created an idyllic home-away-from home in the heart of Dover-Foxcroft. Their attention to detail is impeccable, from the well-written area guide to the bedside fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. They are the consummate hosts and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to stay there.

The room and facilities was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. It is nestled in town but away from the business to keep the noise volume down. The only draw back is it smelled like propane. Not sure if it is what the heating sustem ran off from. We stay again I will inquire on if the heating system runs on propane.

I liked the privacy of the attached cottage room The bathroom was very small but the bed, bedding and towels were nice quality. The Keurig with pods and glass mugs were appreciated. We chose not to have their breakfast for the extra charge.

I couldn't sleep the first night because the little refrigerator in the room was making a horrible noise and I didn't know where it was coming from and didn't want to wake up my husband to look for it. We also wish we would have been alerted about the RSVP to breakfast and the added cost because we didn't get the email about it and you have to dig around to find out about it. We had asked what time breakfast was and that was a good time for them to tell us we weren't on The list.

My room was very cozy and well equipped. The breakfast on Sunday was marvellous! Thank you to Elizabeth and Mike for four true days of vacation in their Freedom House! One point maybe worth mentioning: the bed was quite soft. But this is a matter of personal preferences.

We absolutely loved our stop-over night with such amazing hosts, who provided an excellent breakfast to send us on our way and a huge bonus for the gorgeous, larger than average, fluffy towels!

The room and property were clean and well maintained. There’s a great little gathering area outside with a fire pit for guests to use. It is in a very safe and convenient area. Highly recommended.
