Loved that we were in the heart of Stratford. Parking was easy, location was amazing. Late night room service was a bonus. My only complaint was the locks on the doors and the Air conditioning. It is a key lock. If you do not use the key and lock the door behind you your when you leave your door is not locked. We accidentally walked into the wrong room when we arrived. Thankfully we realized right away.They should be telling you this when you check in. Also thankfully it cooled down as the night went on. we could not get our room to cool down with the little air conditioning unit they had.

A good reasonably priced large room over a pub. Early Check-in and parking easy and friendly, two separate bed set-ups , one bathroom on the second floor , no windows but a skylight good in the daytime, a bit too light in the morning. Very conveniently located

This place is a find! The suites are brand new and so comfortable, well appointed and complete with all bathroom and kitchenette conveniences. Bentleys bar and restaurant is right below, and you'd never know-- so airy and quiet. Walkable everywhere in Stratford, and safe indoor parking right across the street. We're coming back here--our new favorite place to stay!!

This is a small boutique hotel over and bar/restaurant. At first I was worried that the noise from downstairs would cause some problems, but there weren't any! In fact it was quiet despite being on a main street. The only thing I thought was a possible issue was there was not elevator--one has to walk up a flight of stairs to access the hotel rooms. This might be a consideration for anyone who might have a mobility issue.

Staff are fantastic. Check in was simple. Lots of stairs to get to the rooms and the bathroom is on the second level loft area removed from the bed area. Clean and well organized. Only drawback was the smell in the hallways like old smoke smell. Overall unique rooms and stay. Enjoyed the restaurant / bar attached below. Good food.

All good except for lots of stairs both getting to and within the room. Also car had to be parked a few blocks away. Only a problem if, like me, you had an injured leg.

The room was clean and well equipped. It was remarkably quiet for sleeping. Check in was easy, and staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is steps away from shopping, restaurants, theatres, etc. We're definitely staying at Bentley's again.

Loved our stay at the Bentley Inn. Our room was clean, spacious, quiet, and walking distance to all the great dining, sights, and theatre. It will be my go to spot whenever I visit Stratford. Highly recommend.

Our stay was extremely enjoyable. The only complaint we had was wth the housekeeping. The bathroom was not swept or wiped down during our entire stay (6 days). The bed linens were only changed once & only after we requested it. Coffee cups were not usually washed, just put in the sink. Perhaps housekeeping staff are inexperienced but better training would elevate that.

My wife and I first stayed at Bentley's Inn eleven years ago. At the time it seemed newly refurbished and was clean, modern and reasonably equipped. When we decided to return to Stratford this summer I found Bentley's on Orbitz and saw that it still had a high review score. We booked and looked forward to our stay. The reality was very disappointing. It appeared that the room had not been upgraded in the intervening eleven years. The carpets were stained throughout. The bathroom shower was caked with soap scum. Not only that, but the room was only superficially clean. The linens were of very poor quality. It was a very disappointing experience. If we had paid half the price we might have gotten our money's worth. As it was we felt ripped off. To be fair, the room is spacious, with two levels and sleeping accommodations for four. It is also quiet and in a very central location in Stratford. However, if we do return to Stratford we will look for alternate accomodations.

We stayed in room #104. King bed on main floor comfortable but if sleeping in king bed you must go up a flight of stairs to use the bathroom. Bathroom cleanliness needs to be improved. Base of toilet very dirty and the shower had mouldy dirty caulking. Hair dryer did not work and this room has no windows.

Very clean and comfortable! Also very quiet, which I was surprised at since it’s over a bar/restaurant. Check in was easy and fast and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We did not like the lack of an elevator to the rooms, sloppy housekeeping, our loft room only had a bathroom on the upper floor, towels not refreshed without asking, even if left on the floor, no breakfast facilities, internet difficult/impossible to access. On the plus side, the room was interesting, large, well furnished and comfortable. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful

Great location and friendly staff. Our room was nice and clean, unfortunately it was very noisy. The AC in the room was very effective but loud. When we turned it off we could hear all movements around us. People going up and down the stairs, doors opening and closing, toilets flushing. The walls are very thin.

Acceptable clean accommodations. Long stairs up to room and stairs up to bedroom and bathroom. Had microwave, refrigerator and dishes. If you are prepared to go with the flow, this could work for you.

There were several positive things about this hotel room (103): the location is great, right in the heart of downtown and convenient to everything. Despite the central location, the room was quiet, the bed comfortable and the room commodious. The kitchenette (fridge and microwave) was a nice touch. We knew the room would be upstairs from the bar/restaurant but the stairs are quite a steep hike; definitely not for anyone with mobility problems. Staff very graciously carried our bags upstairs. The two deal-breakers however, which would stop us from staying here again, were the location of the bathroom in the upstairs loft-very inconvenient in the middle of the night-and the skylight (no windows!) above the bed. It started getting light around 5 am and we had no choice but to wake up!

This property is above a bar that closes at 2am. It was SO LOUD until 3:30am on a Friday night (even with ear plugs) that we were unable to sleep. We ended up leaving a day early because to enjoy theater, being rested really helps. Also, the bathroom, while in the same room, is up a steep flight of stairs from where the bed was located. If you need to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, this is a hazard for anyone who is not quite agile. The room was clean, but the noise was a real deal breaker.

If you are looking for a unique experience, try Bentley’s! We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel room (even the stairs to the washroom in the loft were manageable!). The renovations have been well done. The amenities in the room were exactly what you need for a stay - a few dishes, microwave, coffee cream in the fridge, dishcloths etc. We had a great time - even spent some time watching the Blue Jays in the bar! The staff were top notch. We will 100% stay here again.

A nicely done, good sized loft room with a king size double downstairs and two singles in the upper left room reached by stairs. Bathroom is upstairs. Downstairs has an electric fireplace, a table and kitchenette with microwave (but no stovetop) fridge sink coffee maker. Natural light provided by a skylight (no windows). Clean, quiet, terrific central location. Could use a clothes rod.

We really enjoyed our stay. Bentley’s was central and allowed us to explore the downtown area easily. The King Loft was very spacious and clean. After watching the Jays game in the bar we were surprised that we weren’t able to hear all the hustle and bustle down below when we went back to our room. We would definitely recommend the Bentley Inn.

Our stay at Bentley's was made terrible by the noise created by a neighbouring room late into the night (3:00 am when someone finally yelled to shut them up). There was no one on the front desk to complain to so the noise continued unabated all night. Unacceptable. The bedding is awful. The bottom sheets aren't fitted (weird in itself) and too short. That results in scrunched up, uncomfortable sheets that come untucked if they're even tucked in in the first place.The duvet is far too warm for the season with no lightweight blanket to replace it. We had to request more milk from front desk as there was only one available in the fridge when we arrived. I will think twice about staying here again or recommending it to friends. I visit Stratford annually.

Key opened room but not hotel door or parking. Promised another one but didn’t get it till next day and it had the same problem. A lot of stairs up to room and in room and no help with bags. Hot in room and air conditioning didn’t cool it. No hotel staff. Bar and restaurant staff very busy and don’t have access to hotel resources

There were several positive things about this hotel room (103): the location is great, right in the heart of downtown and convenient to everything. Despite the central location, the room was quiet, the bed comfortable and the room commodious. The kitchenette (fridge and microwave) was a nice touch. We knew the room would be upstairs from the bar/restaurant but the stairs are quite a steep hike; definitely not for anyone with mobility problems. Staff very graciously carried our bags upstairs. The two deal-breakers however, which would stop us from staying here again, were the location of the bathroom in the upstairs loft-very inconvenient in the middle of the night-and the skylight (no windows!) above the bed. It started getting light around 5 am and we had no choice but to wake up!

Overall property was great. Refurbished rooms, unique layout and design, great location and very convenient. Two downsides were staff availability during check-in check-out and hearing the music from the pub below until 2.30 a.m. Otherwise really enjoyed the stay.

Staff are fantastic. Check in was simple. Lots of stairs to get to the rooms and the bathroom is on the second level loft area removed from the bed area. Clean and well organized. Only drawback was the smell in the hallways like old smoke smell. Overall unique rooms and stay. Enjoyed the restaurant / bar attached below. Good food.

The room was clean and well equipped. It was remarkably quiet for sleeping. Check in was easy, and staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is steps away from shopping, restaurants, theatres, etc. We're definitely staying at Bentley's again.

Loved that we were in the heart of Stratford. Parking was easy, location was amazing. Late night room service was a bonus. My only complaint was the locks on the doors and the Air conditioning. It is a key lock. If you do not use the key and lock the door behind you your when you leave your door is not locked. We accidentally walked into the wrong room when we arrived. Thankfully we realized right away.They should be telling you this when you check in. Also thankfully it cooled down as the night went on. we could not get our room to cool down with the little air conditioning unit they had.

We really enjoyed our stay. Bentley’s was central and allowed us to explore the downtown area easily. The King Loft was very spacious and clean. After watching the Jays game in the bar we were surprised that we weren’t able to hear all the hustle and bustle down below when we went back to our room. We would definitely recommend the Bentley Inn.

Love Bentleys, always stay here when we go to Stratford. Perfect location. Can walk to the shops, restaurants, the river, and all the theatres. Free parking. The restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Rooms are large and comfortable with nice amenities. Only downfall is it can be a bit noisy.

An excellent location in downtown Stratford. The Avon Theatre is a 3 min. walk and the Festival Theatre is about a 20 min. walk or 5 min. drive. The room was in excellent condition. Very clean and the bed was oh so comfortable. Would have taken it home had it fit in our SUV! The room is on two floors with the bathroom on the upper floor. If you don't mind climbing stairs, then I highly recommend this inn. We ate dinner here too. The service was awesome, the food was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.

Would stay again! Loved the space in the rooms. Everyone was so nice and eager to help. We had the Friday night Prime Rib at the restaurant downstairs and it was fantastic too.

Nice room. Brighter than expected thanks to the skylight. Very quiet - you wouldn’t guess that it is upstairs from a busy bar/restaurant. Really effective AC. We were a bit surprised to find the bathroom was upstairs at the loft level. Room was kind of humid - towels never seemed to dry. Fridge worked well but did not have a freezer compartment.

Nice clean room with comfortable beds and decor. BUT Located in the middle of the building so no windows only a skylight. The check in was a mess because the bar staff checked us in and couldn’t answer questions. If you book this place, unload your bags in the parking directly behind the building and bring your bags up THEN go to the parking lot indicated, it’s across the street.

The 14 or 16 stairs to reach our room was acceptable. The king size bed was great, the room was clean and quiet. Kitchen and lounge area was very nice with generous spaces. The bathroom was clean and roomy but the deal breaker for us not returning, was the additional 14 to 16 stairs to get to the bathroom in our room. We saw a picture of the room with a staircase and comments on the bathroom being upstairs. We call and heard that only some rooms are like that. We arranged not to have those rooms. But when we arrived, it seems all the rooms are like that. It is tough for some to use the stairs at all, so we made it work as best we could.

Loved everything about this place except for the lack of information about the stairs. The lofts were located up a flight of stairs and the bathrooms in the lofts were located on the second level with the twin beds. If I had known this before booking, I would have booked other rooms. We had people in our party who had very heavy suitcases who would have packed a smaller overnight bag had they known. It was also very awkward using the bathroom next to my sleeping adult daughter. If it's kids sleeping in the twin beds, great! If it is all adults in your group, find another place.
