My family (two kids, ages 13 and 10) stayed here for two nights during our trip. The house is absolutely beautiful and so unique. We loved that all three bedrooms had massive windows and a wrap-around deck. Having my morning coffee on the deck while listening to the birds was a big highlight! The host, Daniela, was very responsive and reached out to me a month ahead of time to provide suggestions and tours. She was also quick to help me when we were struggling to find the house. Much appreciated! Overall, we had a very nice stay. The home and quiet surroundings made for a very unique experience!

The house was perfect. We had our two kids (3 & 5) and my dad with us and the three bedroom house was great. Well furnished, clean, and the host Daniela was amazing. The location took us a minute to find (Waze and Google Maps don’t have accurate directions) but Daniela gave us a video of the route showing where to turn. Once we found it, it was easy. It’s very close to many restaurants, has a playground across the street, and a short drive to any of the major attractions. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

This is a beautiful house. The woodworking is amazing and the huge windows allow you to see the forest from every room. We saw and heard monkeys everyday and other creatures (maybe more insects than desired but it is a cloud forest). Daniela is very helpful and they offer an on-site breakfast if desired. The location is private but close to town and the Monteverde Reserve. Highly recommend.

This was a great place if you want to truly feel like you are in the jungle. The last part of the drive was a little scary but we were fair warned, so no problem. From inside the house, we saw a monkey, two Coati’s and out by the car we saw an Agouti and her babies. The house was clean, a few spiders but to be expected in the jungle. We did a load of laundry, they supplied the detergent. There was also coffee provided. You can also order breakfast the night before to be delivered the next morning. The only downfall for our group of 3 couples, was the furniture in the living room wasn’t comfy to hang out on after a full day of hiking/zip lining etc. with that said, we chose the house knowing it wasn’t a typical couch. The woodwork in this house is amazing, every room has so much detailed work…so beautiful!!! Daniela, our host was amazing to work with, very helpful and always responded very quickly.

This place was a magical place to stay, and we wish we could have stayed longer. It is very spacious and comfortable for larger families. It was very clean and had all of the helpful amenities (laundry soap, towels, shampoo, stocked kitchen, etc). The setting of the home is incredible and we loved seeing monkeys, coati, and beautiful birds right from our balcony. I would absolutely stay here again.

The property is gorgeous, very clean and well maintained with lots of wood details. Daniela, the concierge, was communicative and very helpful both in checking us in and providing information about local tours and activities. The kitchen had all the essentials and it was great to have access to washer and dryer. Monkeys came to visit our first day. We were disappointed not to see them again.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and everything was great! The house was set up very well and had everything we needed. Daniela the host was very friendly and a great communicator. She sent a guide to the area with several recommendations and even booked a night hike for us. The house was very private and secluded. I would highly recommend this place!

Wonderful and very cool place. absolutely spotless, everything worked great, and we had everything we needed. the property was also super - nice trail around and through the forest/ family property that includes a fantastic view of the ocean!! playground and relaxation spot add to the attractiveness. the best part was our host family. very gracious and welcoming, always helpful and responsive to any question we had. and with the plans they have, this spot will only get better. we would recommend without any hesitation!

This was one of my favorite VRBOs ever! The woodwork is amazing, the home is clean, and the beds are comfortable. The location is close to restaurants and shops at edge of town, and short drive to several reserves. But the best part is being immersed in nature. The elevated house has huge windows and multiple balconies, so you are literally surrounded by the forest and wildlife. Perfect for BIRDERS! We saw life-list species on the trails around the larger property, on the gravel road to the house, from the front stairs, and through the huge windows in every room. Every morning, I took my binoculars to our bedroom’s secluded, covered, wrap-around balcony and birded with my coffee before even pulling on my hiking boots. It was magical. The washer and dryer were great in Monteverde’s damp climate. Dehumidifiers in the bedrooms helped too, though we turned ours off at night to hear the outdoor sounds. Layout was perfect for three couples. WiFi supported lots of streaming. Host was responsive and professional. Fresh banana bread when we arrived was delicious. I would stay here again in a minute! Pura Vida!

Property is quite unique in design and memorable. Although a bit off the beaten path it is quite close to town and other attractions. You hear and see wildlife (monkeys, coatis, birds) and there is a lot of room that allows private accommodations for 3 separate couples. I would suggest flashlights be provided (short power outage and at night the premises outside are quite dark). No cleaning during 3 days there, but not really an issue. Kitchen is well equipped and overall place is comfortable and a good value for larger group.

This beautiful house is a unique work of art standing above the forest floor. Master carpenters have created a wonderful interior space with so much to admire, flourishes of wooden detail. Despite this, the house is very comfortable and functional and is a great living space. My initial dialogue with Ernesto was handled promptly and courteously. Daniela then took over and was an excellent point-of-contact, friendly and helpful, before and after our arrival. The property was cleaned to a very high standard. The WiFi was robust. The property is down a rough, unpaved, stone road. We were in SUVs. There are a handful of good eateries within 20 minutes walk. We took a torch and are glad we did. A brilliant place with nice, helpful people in charge. Highly recommended!

This home is beyond impressive! It deserves more than 5 stars. The detailed creativity and craftsmanship that went into building such a beautiful home was appreciated by our family. So thankful to have experienced it! Just gorgeous. I've never seen a more clean home. The video they shared to find the home helped very much.

It is the most magical place we have ever stayed. The attention to detail is beyond anything I have seen in a rental property. Beyond the beauty, it was spotless and Daniela was an amazing hostess always communicative and ready to help. We absolutely loved our time there, wish we could have stayed longer, and can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful stay at Daniela's Canopy Wonders House! What a unique property nestled into the natural landscape...we were greeted in the mornings by monkeys, agoutis, and coatis amongst many tropical birds while sitting outside on the porches. The property is quiet but easily accessible to the Monteverde town center. Daniela is an excellent host, the house is impeccably clean with amazing wood work throughout. Do not miss a night tour or day time tour with George, your vacation will not be complete without it! We hope to come back to Monteverde again! Pura Vida!

The house was spacious and clean. Daniela met us at the house as soon as we arrived and was very helpful. The house is beautiful with views all around. We were visited by a Coati one of the days. It is a nice location. Close to town and markets. We highly recommend this place if you are making your way to Monteverde.

What a unique place to stay. So much attention to detail with the custom woodwork and furniture. And the place was spotless when we arrived. Thrilling to be sitting 15-20 feet up in the trees - huge, expansive windows in every room, decks outside every room. Each bedroom has its own wing. The backyard birding and other creatures were abundant. 15-20 species of birds, coatis, agoudis, monkeys. And so close to everything around Santa Elena and Monteverde.

My family and I have stayed in a dozen or so VRBO homes over the past several years, and this one is easily the most unique and memorable. The house is up on stilts, with three essentially self-contained suites branching out from a central living room. The property has a treehouse theme, with rustic wood accents throughout the house--the doors, the lights, the balconies, the kitchen counters, and even the bathroom sinks. The living room, the kitchen, and all the bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows that face the forest. Wherever you may be standing from inside the home, you feel like you're perched in the trees. I've never seen anything like it. The price is a bargain for one of the most memorable houses you'll ever stay in. The host (Daniela) was extremely responsive and friendly as well. I cannot recommend it enough.

The property is just outside of town. Would recommend a car to get around. It is a bit tricky to find after dark. The manager sent us detailed instructions to help and met us at the property to check in. Lots of monkeys to watch just outside on our decks. The manager sent us detailed instructions to help and met us at the property to check in. Lots of monkeys to watch just outside on our decks. We loved that all three bedrooms had massive windows and a wrap-around deck. Having my morning coffee on the deck while listening to the birds was a big highlight! The host, Daniela, was very responsive and reached out to me a month ahead of time to provide suggestions and tours. She was also quick to help me when we were struggling to find the house. Much appreciated! Overall, we had a very nice stay. The home and quiet surroundings made for a very unique experience!

Our family of four had a great 5-day stay at Canopy Wonders this January, 2024. The interior is amazing, and the house is quite roomy. The three bedrooms are well removed from each other, so there is a lot of privacy for everyone. You are right in the forest, and the views from the abundant decks are delightful. We were visited by a troop of coatis, and also saw agoutis, armadillos (at night) and capuchin monkeys. The house is close to town but you would never know it when you're there. Daniela will provide you with all the information you could possibly need about how to get there, restaurants, places to go, etc. Thank you, Daniela, for a great stay!

This was a great place if you want to truly feel like you are in the jungle. The last part of the drive was a little scary but we were fair warned, so no problem. From inside the house, we saw a monkey, two Coati’s and out by the car we saw an Agouti and her babies. The house was clean, a few spiders but to be expected in the jungle. We did a load of laundry, they supplied the detergent. There was also coffee provided. You can also order breakfast the night before to be delivered the next morning. The only downfall for our group of 3 couples, was the furniture in the living room wasn’t comfy to hang out on after a full day of hiking/zip lining etc. with that said, we chose the house knowing it wasn’t a typical couch. The woodwork in this house is amazing, every room has so much detailed work…so beautiful!!! Daniela, our host was amazing to work with, very helpful and always responded very quickly.

What a unique place to stay. So much attention to detail with the custom woodwork and furniture. And the place was spotless when we arrived. Thrilling to be sitting 15-20 feet up in the trees - huge, expansive windows in every room, decks outside every room. Each bedroom has its own wing. The backyard birding and other creatures were abundant. 15-20 species of birds, coatis, agoudis, monkeys. And so close to everything around Santa Elena and Monteverde.

This was one of my favorite VRBOs ever! The woodwork is amazing, the home is clean, and the beds are comfortable. The location is close to restaurants and shops at edge of town, and short drive to several reserves. But the best part is being immersed in nature. The elevated house has huge windows and multiple balconies, so you are literally surrounded by the forest and wildlife. Perfect for BIRDERS! We saw life-list species on the trails around the larger property, on the gravel road to the house, from the front stairs, and through the huge windows in every room. Every morning, I took my binoculars to our bedroom’s secluded, covered, wrap-around balcony and birded with my coffee before even pulling on my hiking boots. It was magical. The washer and dryer were great in Monteverde’s damp climate. Dehumidifiers in the bedrooms helped too, though we turned ours off at night to hear the outdoor sounds. Layout was perfect for three couples. WiFi supported lots of streaming. Host was responsive and professional. Fresh banana bread when we arrived was delicious. I would stay here again in a minute! Pura Vida!

Property is quite unique in design and memorable. Although a bit off the beaten path it is quite close to town and other attractions. You hear and see wildlife (monkeys, coatis, birds) and there is a lot of room that allows private accommodations for 3 separate couples. I would suggest flashlights be provided (short power outage and at night the premises outside are quite dark). No cleaning during 3 days there, but not really an issue. Kitchen is well equipped and overall place is comfortable and a good value for larger group.

The house was perfect. We had our two kids (3 & 5) and my dad with us and the three bedroom house was great. Well furnished, clean, and the host Daniela was amazing. The location took us a minute to find (Waze and Google Maps don’t have accurate directions) but Daniela gave us a video of the route showing where to turn. Once we found it, it was easy. It’s very close to many restaurants, has a playground across the street, and a short drive to any of the major attractions. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and everything was great! The house was set up very well and had everything we needed. Daniela the host was very friendly and a great communicator. She sent a guide to the area with several recommendations and even booked a night hike for us. The house was very private and secluded. I would highly recommend this place!

The house is gorgeous, better than the photos. It's deep in the wild and you will see plenty of critters. It's quite a bit of a walk into town, but there is a small grocery store and a few restaurants nearby. Host is very responsive.

Daniela was an excellent host. We had a nail in a tire and her father came to the rescue. The communication and support from the host was "second to none". The setting was in the middle of the rainforest with decks on every side of the house. Each time we went out we saw and heard birds and one time even had monkeys entertain us. The site was convenient to reach all of our excursions in the Monteverde area and there we a couple of excellent restaurants within walking distance. We could not have asked for a better stay.

I can’t adequately describe how magical Canopy Wonders is. Located in the treetops of Monteverde, the artistry and craftsmanship of the house is incredible. Daniela was a wonderful host, made reservations for a private night hike for us, and provided recommendations for great restaurants in the area. You must order Abuela’s breakfast too. So Delicious. We would definitely stay here again and tell everyone we know.

This beautiful house is a unique work of art standing above the forest floor. Master carpenters have created a wonderful interior space with so much to admire, flourishes of wooden detail. Despite this, the house is very comfortable and functional and is a great living space. My initial dialogue with Ernesto was handled promptly and courteously. Daniela then took over and was an excellent point-of-contact, friendly and helpful, before and after our arrival. The property was cleaned to a very high standard. The WiFi was robust. The property is down a rough, unpaved, stone road. We were in SUVs. There are a handful of good eateries within 20 minutes walk. We took a torch and are glad we did. A brilliant place with nice, helpful people in charge. Highly recommended!

Unique home on stilts surrounded by decks and full of amazing woodworking. The owner made beautiful furnishings, counter, sinks, doors and woodwork out of amazing trees. We were close to town, but felt like we were living in the jungle with visits from monkeys and gorgeous birds.

We had a wonderful stay at Daniela's Canopy Wonders House! What a unique property nestled into the natural landscape...we were greeted in the mornings by monkeys, agoutis, and coatis amongst many tropical birds while sitting outside on the porches. The property is quiet but easily accessible to the Monteverde town center. Daniela is an excellent host, the house is impeccably clean with amazing wood work throughout. Do not miss a night tour or day time tour with George, your vacation will not be complete without it! We hope to come back to Monteverde again! Pura Vida!

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Property experience was great. Monkeys visit daily. The wood craftmanship of Canopy Wonders is impressive. Host was very responsive, arranged our tours, cooked us breakfast in the park!

We saw and heard monkeys everyday and other creatures (maybe more insects than desired but it is a cloud forest). Daniela is very helpful and they offer an on-site breakfast if desired. The location is private but close to town and the Monteverde Reserve. Highly recommend.

The only downfall for our group of 3 couples, was the furniture in the living room wasn’t comfy to hang out on after a full day of hiking/zip lining etc. with that said, we chose the house knowing it wasn’t a typical couch. The woodwork in this house is amazing, every room has so much detailed work…so beautiful!!! Daniela, our host was amazing to work with, very helpful and always responded very quickly.
This was a great place if you want to truly feel like you are in the jungle. The last part of the drive was a little scary but we were fair warned, so no problem. From inside the house, we saw a monkey, two Coati’s and out by the car we saw an Agouti and her babies. The house was clean, a few spiders but to be expected in the jungle. We did a load of laundry, they supplied the detergent. There was also coffee provided. You can also order breakfast the night before to be delivered the next morning. We had a wonderful stay. We loved having the forest all around us, and the artistry of the decor in the house was beautiful! It was easy getting into town, and the host, Daniela, was extremely helpful with recommendations of activities, restaurants, grocery places, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is gorgeous, better than the photos. It's deep in the wild and you will see plenty of critters. It's quite a bit of a walk into town, but there is a small grocery store and a few restaurants nearby. Host is very responsive.

Daniela was an excellent host. We had a nail in a tire and her father came to the rescue. The communication and support from the host was "second to none". The setting was in the middle of the rainforest with decks on every side of the house. Each time we went out we saw and heard birds and one time even had monkeys entertain us. The site was convenient to reach all of our excursions in the Monteverde area and there we a couple of excellent restaurants within walking distance. We could not have asked for a better stay.

The nicest wood floors i have ever seen! The rock inlay was absolutely beautiful! The wood inlay around in the door trim was a very nice touch. The rooms are all so far apart 3 couples can sleep there and never ever hear each other! The balconies around each room and everywhere else you look are incredible! The host is a delight and a wonderful person and cooks great breakfast! Go here and you will never want to leave. The leave a book tske a book offer is a nice plus to the property too. If you’re looking for a very peaceful place to read and have monkeys come up and say hi… this is your place! Around 8am i was woke up by a monkey jumping on the roof of my master bedroom, which was great to wake up to…

This was one of my favorite VRBOs ever! The woodwork is amazing, the home is clean, and the beds are comfortable. The location is close to restaurants and shops at edge of town, and short drive to several reserves. But the best part is being immersed in nature. The elevated house has huge windows and multiple balconies, so you are literally surrounded by the forest and wildlife. Perfect for BIRDERS! We saw life-list species on the trails around the larger property, on the gravel road to the house, from the front stairs, and through the huge windows in every room. Every morning, I took my binoculars to our bedroom’s secluded, covered, wrap-around balcony and birded with my coffee before even pulling on my hiking boots. It was magical. The washer and dryer were great in Monteverde’s damp climate. Dehumidifiers in the bedrooms helped too, though we turned ours off at night to hear the outdoor sounds. Layout was perfect for three couples. WiFi supported lots of streaming. Host was responsive and professional. Fresh banana bread when we arrived was delicious. I would stay here again in a minute! Pura Vida!

I can’t adequately describe how magical Canopy Wonders is. Located in the treetops of Monteverde, the artistry and craftsmanship of the house is incredible. Daniela was a wonderful host, made reservations for a private night hike for us, and provided recommendations for great restaurants in the area. You must order Abuela’s breakfast too. So Delicious. We would definitely stay here again and tell everyone we know.

We loved our stay! The house was like a fairy tale. Trees and animals right out the windows, wonderful balconies for relaxing, amazing details all throughout the house. Don't miss the community park on the property. Great place to stay in the Monteverde area and I highly recommend you stay here!

We stayed at the Canopy Wonders House in Monteverde, Costa Rica, and absolutely loved our experience. Having the forest all around us made the stay feel peaceful and magical, and the artistic decor throughout the house was truly beautiful. It felt like a very special place. Very clean, beautiful unique woodwork and balconies everywhere! Loved the huge windows looking into the trees. We booked this place for the wildlife and we weren’t disappointed! Monkeys, coati, agouti, birds of all kinds! Daniela was super helpful and responsive.

The home was nestled in the trees just like the pictures. The wildlife is right outside your door. You feel like your living in the trees. The place can be a bit hard to find but the host sent me a video and excellent directions that made it easier. The main town is a quick drive to restaurants, the forest and shopping. I would highly recommend Canopy Wonders for a true Costa Rica Experience.
