EST Hotel

Staff was pleasant enough and the room seemed ok for the cheap price. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were all huge, heavy, and super lumpy. The base of the shower looked really dirty (not sure if it was or if it was stains, but I wasn't standing in it with my bare feet). Unfortunately, my room was beside a door that opened and 'clicked' loudly every time it shut (every 15 minutes or so) and an ice machine (where people seemed to stand around talking). It was really loud, so at 2am I packed up and left. Warning for nervous drivers and those with big cars: the parking was super tight and under an awning. To add insult to injury, birds had crapped on my car in several places. *Pool was closed - not sure for how long.

Room was ok The ad did say they had a pool, but when I asked about it, they said it was broken. Breakfast was like a kids breakfast lunch bag nothing special. Room was clean and comfy

Both ice machines do not work on either floor. This was extremely inconvenient. The pool is never in service. The elevator smelt very strange and off putting. Pigeons nesting all around property. Room was good, but small things add up.

Clean room. They have done really well in the past three months eliminating the odor, probably marijuana from hotel. I think the multiple signs threatening $200. I don’t have to wash my clothes! Last time was a mess. The only thing lacking is parking, but that would be a decision by management to build or buy more spots. It was easy to park in the adjacent lot until the next morning. Also, the pool is not functioning or the laundry. You have to use the elevator as the the stairwells seem to only go out wit( no way back 8n except through the front desk.

Only bad thing i would have to say is that none of the ice machines were working

We had a late arrival of 11pm, there is NO parking - we were told to park up the hill in a shopping centers lot. I had put a credit card on file to reserve the room when we arrived we were told “the machines are all down” and that I had to use their ATM to withdraw cash to cover the room in the meantime. Everything felt very sketchy - I was then told I needed a card to put on file for a $200 charge for incidentals - even though their machines were down?! The person at the front desk the proceeded to announce that I had $75 in my bank account and he could see it on his computer. I was mortified. He kept repeating it, and while it wasn’t true it was embarrassing as I was on a get a way with someone I was newly dating. So he somehow was able to charge my card for the incidentals, got my cash from the ATM and then charged my card on file for the night. I was livid but it was 11pm in another country and we had traveled all day. We got to the room and there were bugs in the bathroom. We were also told that because the machines were down that the key card/locks on the doors didn’t work and we’d have to find someone to let us into our room each time we needed to leave. We left bright and early the next day. Never again will we stay at this hotel. There is a restaurant across the street named fukery - it all made sense.

No enough parking, probably 20 for guests. The whole hotel is falling apart.

Difficult to find the entrance to the driveway. Limited parking.

Blood stained sheets, mold in the walls, sticky floors, broken mirror, wallpaper coming off, dirty and broken blinds, stinky, rude staff. Had to cancel and leave upon arrival due to these conditions

Room was dirty a lot of stains on the carpet, walls and sofa. Also, there was a roach in the room. I will never go back to this hotel again

We arrived around 4pm (coming from our moms funeral viewing), the outside was dirty - broken glass in the parking lot, broken windows in the lower windows. When checking in we asked where the pool was. It turns out the pool has been closed for 5 years!!!? We chose this hotel over the Super 8 because the Super 8 website clearly said their pool was closed for renovations. We thought a swim between viewings and the funeral would help. I commend Super 8 for being upfront about the reno’s. EST Hotel doesn’t mention anything about the pool being closed - especially closed for so many years. That is blatant false advertising!! The contract/ receipt I signed with the deposit showed a $38 difference. They said Expedia also gets their share. And if I booked through the hotel I would have gotten the cheaper price.. But the actual EST website was more expensive than Expedia!? Once signed, they wouldn’t let me look at it again, saying I can get the receipt from Expedia. I wanted to take a pic since the prices were different. Now we get to the room.. it was warm in there, they told us to wait 15 min for it to cool down but it never did start blowing cool air. The fridge, TV (cable) didn't work either. Front desk came to the room again to try and fix it without any luck. We must have gone to the front desk 5-6 times for help as they weren’t answering the phone. The poor guy was the only one there and kept telling us that he had to get back. Able to change rooms but mouldy shower!! Beware

The floor in the room was dirty, and shoes stuck to the dirty bathroom floor and the entrance to the room. The bedding didn't look fresh either. There was hair on the towels. The carpets in the hallway were dirty. The elevator stinks. There was bird droppings at the hotel entrance. We will never stay at this hotel again, nor will we recommend it.

The hotel has a bad bad smell. Like musty, moldy disgusting elevator smell. Terrible

Please do not let the pictures fool you , this hotel is not the same as it used to be 4-5 years ago. The staff do not clean the showers so you’ll need Lysol wipes to while it out. The first time we stayed here we found 3 different sized roaches all within the span of 30 -40 mins !!! ( pictures below ) 2 were in the bathroom and one literally right beside the bed. I couldn’t do it so I contacted the front desk and they moved me to a different room on the 3rd floor and said there’s no roaches on this floor….? So they know they have a roach problem but never took measures to handle it.the second room they moved us to had no roaches but the tub had what looked like urine stains in jt and there was duck tape holding the tub together (we never used it , just put dirty towels and sheets in it ) This hotel is only good for the price. I honestly want my refund for this place it should have really been $50 a night. Even just when u walk in it smells like sewer water especially in the elevator. It’s like they got the carpet wet and never properly cleaned it even other guest try to spray their purfume to held with the smell , they have 4 floors but the elevator only has 3 levels. To get to the 4th y have to walk up the stairs from the 3rd floor, once you get there is smells like weed on that whole floor , there is only 4 rooms up there and it’s dark and the carpet looks like a motel , up there looked scary. They need to get better staff and better front desk

Fungus everywhere, the hallways smell like cigarette, the elevator smelled like sewer, very poor attitude from the staff, and the "breakfast" was a total joke, a bag with yogurt, a juice box, a frozen sandwich, a frozen muffin, that we were supposed to warm in the microwave in the room. (I took pics but there's nowhere to post them on this review)

You get what you pay for. Cracked sink and hot water took 10 minutes to heat up. Not the cleanest place but you get what you pay for. Only internet TV, no networks. Check-in staff was anything but friendly.... checking in is just a transaction. Signs all over the Hotel stating "If you leave trash in the hall, you will be fined $200". Fined? Weird. Definitely bad management.... Shouldn't the signs say, "Please do not leave garbage in the hall. Garbage bins can be found (put locations here)"?

First room was terrible with big stain on the floor. Asked to change rooms and they did it and next room was ok but didn’t felt good laying on the bed cover my self with my own small blanket that I travel with. The clientele was something else. Would not go back even though the management was ok in accommodating me

I booked a king suite for 2 nights with a jetted tub. I made 2 seperate bookings for both nights, I spoke with 2 men at the front counter asking them if i have to pay anything extra to stay in the same room for those 2 nights since i made 2 bookings separately and they had told me no, you don’t have to pay anything extra. They both reassured me letting me know that all i have to do was call in before check out on the second day and let front desk know that i’m booked in for another night. I got to speak with the supervisor there, her name is jaspreet. She has let me know that only 3 jetted tubs work in the entire hotel. And that if i want to stay in the same room i have to pay an extra free of $20 dollars. Then she proceed to tell me that, for the second night i booked a king room with a sofa bed and not a jetted tub on her system. She printed some paper out to show me that it says “overbooked and failed to Found 2 cockroaches on crawling near the cracks of the tub. There’s cracks everywhere in the washroom, near the tub, between walls.

I paid extra for a room with a hot tub. It was cracked and did not work. General maintenance was poor

Hot tub was not clean. Asked front desk if someone could clean it and was told the room I originally paid for was not available so i was upgraded for free because no other king suites were available and that the hot tub did not work anyways. Lamp cord was cut, landline phone in room was not working, remote missing battery cover and the tv did not have any functioning channels. Could not find or connect to the free wifi. Continental breakfast advertised was literally a brown paper bag stapled shut that contained a yogurt, prepackaged muffin, egg and cheese on an English muffin and a juice box. There was an odd smell throughout the lobby and hallways. Only good thing was the bed was very comfortable.

The staff were all fantastic and super friendly! The location is a bit strange in a parking lot with a strip mall in front. We were also put on the 4th floor which wasn’t elevator accessible

Our door doesn’t look and the carpet and curtains are full of stains also the room was said to be soundproof but definitely was not.

The location is not ideal as it is located on a corner of a very busy intersection. The parking lot is very small, difficult to turn into parking spaces which are very narrow, and could hardly open or close my vehicle doors. The staff assigned us a room located off of the lobby which was very noisy and we couldn't sleep well. They serve instant coffee with powdered cream which I do not consume, ever because it's gross. They only offer snack foods such as chips, candy bars, bottled water and soda pop at a premium price onsite. The hotel itself is nicely renovated inside and the bed is comfortable. I had to request toilet paper as there was none in the room when we arrived. The room has a TV, but no cable service. You can only use streaming services which you have to use your own account to sign up/login into. Then came the biggest issue. I tried to take a shower and then discovered no hot water!!!! I went to the front desk and reported it, but all the front desk attendant did is write it down and said they will have someone look into it. We were supposed to stay 3 nights, but we only stayed the one night, checked out early and went to another hotel in the area for the rest of our stay. Terrible place. Shouldn't even be listed on Expedia. Very disappointed and now questioning my faith and trust in Expedia.

Would not recommend this hotel at all. First, the pictures are not what they seem. Upon entering our hotel room, we were met with a very unpleasant smell. Next, we noticed the carpet had many strange stains. The TV had very limited streaming options. The walls were very dirty. The worst part of it all was the noise, as the walls are not soundproof. We were up all night from the noise coming from the hallway and even the people next door. The bathroom ceiling's paint was all chipped, and the sink had cracks. Overall, it was the worst hotel I've ever been to. A health inspection needs to be done on this hotel motel immediately. I wouldn't recommend this place to a dog.

There was no window in the room and stains on the ceiling

Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing and prevented me from being able to remain at the property. On Dec 26th around 11:30pm there was significant noise in the hallways on the first floor, including loud conversation, arguing between a couple, and a crying girl. This disturbance lasted for approximately 20 minutes. What concerned me most was that the reception desk—located only steps away—made no intervention or attempt to address the situation. Due to the ongoing noise and the lack of action from staff, I was unable to fall asleep and ultimately decided to leave the hotel that same night. This is not the level of comfort or service I expected.

The staff asked me for cash for deposit and charged me extra $6 because I didn’t have cash with me and I had to took it from ATM. This is ridiculous because all the hotels asked for credit card.

Gave us a room that was being occupied by someone else. Made us wait around an hour to get a new room that was dirty, and smelt bad. When I told them someone was in our room they proceeded to laugh and tell me “who cares just open it” even tho I told them the tv is on, people are talking and the red light that turns on when someone is inside and locks it also was on. We ended up checking in at almost 10pm just to check out at 11am and was not even offered a discount or anything.

First and foremost when we checked in it was ok but customer service is a dire problem ,you have to find your way to the elevator. Secondly there is no "COMPLEMENTARY BREAKFAST".There is a brown paperbag with colf package snacks ,when i asked the receptionist started yelling at me ,i was scared he would had hit me .(i am very serious).i reported it to the other lady after i went back to my room contemplating if to leave or not ,but my husband surgery and mobility was limited ..i will not rebook that place again.

Absolutely horrible. Didn't even stay and tried calling to cancel reservation, number is out of service and they still chaeged my credit card even after expedia teied to escalate. Can't even get through by phone to this place to speak to anyone. Do NOT book here.

The room was clean and the staff so nice

These guys pull a ATM scam where they try to get you to get cash out for your deposit out of their ATM for a large additional fee. I declined and they insisted the credit card machine was broken for awhile before plugging it in… it worked right away. Room was HOT and ac wouldn’t cool below 78. I walked in after a day at wonderland and heard them hustling another person for the atm so I told the customer the score and of course… credit machine worked no problem… I later heard a gentleman demanding his cash deposit back and the guy for sure trying to tell him why he should not get it. The customer was trying to not make a scene in front of his family and the gentleman at the counter was acting like he didn’t understand why the deposit not being returned was in any way weird? the morning of my stay I got wake up calls every hour starting at 7am…. I didn’t request any. After the third I called the front desk and they said they didn’t set them and then I got one more lol. These guys seem like bad actors prob worth the small amount more for a trustworthy and honestly represented property. This place was no better than bottom rate motels, maybe worse amenities wise. Pictures are quite misleading, these rooms are trampled and the property is in disrepair. No pool or gym as advertised and the sign says it’s do to Covid 19 restrictions…. Needless to say it’s been closed for some time.

This was a nice property and stay. I have stayed in a lot worse facilities. You are only really there to sleep. What folks about limited parking is accurate, it just means you park in the adjacent plaza. What folks say about the odor is accurate. There is a distinct scent which that is abundant in third floor hallway. It may be cultural versus drugs. There is nothing unsafe that I saw around facility. It is just industrial. ( this is not like a large US city that can have unsafe areas with gangs and guns) Other than that, it is a nice modern facility at a good price and location that is easy to navigate to other areas of Toronto.

Couldn't find the property entrance until I circled around it twice.. seems like a ramp for trucks to unload, but thats where the entrance finally was.

The staff was polite,BUT VERY DISAPPOINTED FROM THERE WEBSITE TO REALITY 1- not enough space to park a car ,you have to park in a mall 2- there website has such a beautiful place to swim 🏊‍♀️ WELL YOU CANNOT SWIM ,CLOSED 3- BREAKFAST!!!! WEBSITE HAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL BUFFET REALITY THEY GIVE YOU BREAKFAST IN A BROWN PAPER BAG,FROZEN EGG MCMUFFIN, JUICE BOX ,YOGURT, WEBSITE SEEMS SO BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS ITS NOT 4- rooms are clean,BUT PAPER THIN you hear everything in next room,and outside your door of your room If you need a place to crash last minute,its fine BUT DONT EXPECT ANYTHING SPECIAL 5 - prices on website is not what you are going to pay ,I found a special price and by the time I received a email it was more expensive than the website , was to late to cancel Don’t trust what you see on a website!!!!!

Our stay was good. It is very clean and we had excellent experience with the hotel. But the breakfast was really bad. It was given in a paper bag. Breakfast was very cold. The coffee machine was not working. It is not like other hotels where they have cafeteria and breakfast is served in cafeteria. This was the most disappointing thing.

I stayed there (alone) when I was stranded due to weather. Very affordable and excellent value for the price. Parking was directly outside the hotel and was under a roof/garage thing but be careful if you’re trying to avoid bird poop because my car was covered in it when I went out in the morning. You can see it was once a beautiful hotel that’s in need of upkeep and maintenance but still, it was bright, clean and safe. The ceiling in my room had some sort of water stain and when you look carefully, you can see how the owners are not keeping up with the building. Forget the breakfast; total waste of your time. It’s a paper bag with a plastic- wrapped muffin, plastic-wrapped breakfast sandwich and juice box. No coffee even in the lobby/dining room. Pretty sad considering you can see the dining room could host an all-out hot breakfast. So that was pretty brutal; just skip it. This place was completely fine for me (44 yo female) but just overall could be a much more impressive hotel if they put in a little more effort (breakfast) and upkeep (painting, etc).

Clean rooms are beautiful, staff very attentive. But the breakfast included not good at all. You get a lunch bag with a frozen egg muffin and muffin. Better to put a toaster and have toasts in the morning.
