The Holmstead Ranch is such a fun place to stay. We’ve been there twice and have stayed in a Lakeside cabin and a Cottage cabin. Both were really fun, but we preferred the Lakeside cabin for location and layout, finishes. The amenities are really fun. They have pickleball and a sand volleyball court that we used. It’s also fun to walk around the lake and use the fire pits. The only thing I didn’t like was the futon beds in both cabins were too uncomfortable.

I was really disappointed with my visit. The lake had dead rats floating in it, and the whole area smelled like sewage. The water was dirty and clearly hasn’t been drained or refreshed in a long time, which made it a breeding ground for bugs. It was unpleasant to be around, and it completely ruined the experience. This place needs some serious maintenance and care before it can be enjoyable.

We stayed at a very quaint cabin, it was quiet aside from the birds & animals sounds which was perfect. Felt like we were so close to nature. It was a great escape from our bustling noise from Las Vegas. They have amenities that would be good for summer. We can’t wait to go back again in the future.

Amazing property. Everything was very clean and modern. The kitchen was supplied with all the essentials, even salt and pepper. The lakeside cottages were super relaxing, we loved hearing the water in the morning and at night. Overall, we will be back here with the family.

It was a great place to stay for how much we paid. The surrounding area is very scenic and beautiful. The building was great quality, very clean and had exactly everything necessary. Communication was great, they worked with our very late arrival and were very easygoing. I would absolutely recommend staying here, you will not regret it.

Our cabin seemed very clean and nice! Our bed was pretty squeaky which kept waking us up but it was still a pleasant stay in the woods.We enjoyed the kitchen facilities and caught a couple of good movies from Netflix on our stay. Overall we would return to stay here another time!

The cottage has potential, but several aspects fell short of a luxury experience. We booked a "Deluxe Cottage, Kitchen, Mountain View," but our expected mountain view was completely overridden by the cabin right across the path on the front porch side, and a dirt wall on the bedroom side. Inside, basic setup details were overlooked, like finding the clean coffee cups still sitting in the dishwasher rather than the cabinets, a mosquito inside the fridge (dead). The bed was uncomfortable and felt incredibly small for a queen-size. Maintenance and amenities were also a letdown: the sliding closet doors were off the rails, and having a tiny, 16-inch TV in the bedroom felt incredibly outdated and cheap. The most disruptive part of our stay was being jolted awake at 1 a.m. by an awful, loud noise from the water heater that made us think something was breaking right outside the cabin. Once you're outside, the property is beautiful. The little pond was cute and there are some nice trails around. However, it just didn't live up to the premium price tag, especially when we were hit with a checkout chore list requiring us to haul our own trash to the dumpster and wash our dishes before leaving. We only used a few cups for coffee, but being asked to do chores felt entirely out of place for a "deluxe" stay.

We booked a "Deluxe Cottage, Kitchen, Mountain View," but our expected mountain view was completely overridden by the cabin right across the path on the front porch side, and a dirt wall on the bedroom side. Inside, basic setup details were overlooked, like finding the clean coffee cups still sitting in the dishwasher rather than the cabinets, a mosquito inside the fridge (dead). The bed was uncomfortable and felt incredibly small for a queen-size. Maintenance and amenities were also a letdown: the sliding closet doors were off the rails, and having a tiny, 16-inch TV in the bedroom felt incredibly outdated and cheap. The most disruptive part of our stay was being jolted awake at 1 a.m. by an awful, loud noise from the water heater that made us think something was breaking right outside the cabin. Once you're outside, the property is beautiful. The little pond was cute and there are some nice trails around. However, it just didn't live up to the premium price tag, especially when we were hit with a checkout chore list requiring us to haul our own trash to the dumpster and wash our dishes before leaving. We only used a few cups for coffee, but being asked to do chores felt entirely out of place for a "deluxe" stay.
