Was a nice surprise to stay here. Nice and clean. These are individual cottages so no noisy neighbors.

The places are very nice with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel room, if not more! I'm sure every time i visit Joplin from now on, i will stay here!

What a lovely cottage. It was so much nicer than staying in a noisy hotel. Having our own private entrance & being able to park by our cottage was very convenient. Arrival was a bit disturbing, since no one was around, & we had to call & text to find out how to get into our room. But, we did finally make contact. A strange thing was the TV had no volume button or mute button. We would choose to stay here again. The place was very clean & cozy. Such a lovely cottage. Thank you!

Checking in was an easy process all remotely done. Communication with the property management was easy. The property is very well kept and the rooms are absolutely adorable. We were able to park directly behind our own personal unit. Highly recommend staying in this place and I will definitely be back.

It is a like a really nice hotel room without the hotel bldg. That is great!

Adorable cottage very private front and back door led me right to my car. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot and great water pressure- 2 cup coffee pot with coffe mugs, mini frid and freezer, microwave! Loved it I felt like I had my own apt. You hear the train but that didn’t bother me. I will be staying here again

Parking was great and right next to the unit. The property and cottages are clean and maintained. The room was cute, cozy and well furnished. There is a diner style restaurant next door. Gas stations food and a few other stores are just down the road. I was looking for something different for a small stay and glad I found this little gem. Will be staying here again!

Check-in was easy and contactless. Gave me a code ahead of time to get in the room. Rooms were clean. Air conditioner was kinda loud but did make for some white noise for sleeping.

We love supporting local and small businesses, but this stay made it difficult. Check-in was awkward and confusing; having to call and text just to get in didn’t feel smooth or welcoming. From the start, the lack of attention to detail and care was noticeable. The first thing we noticed was the strong smell of Fabuloso. It hit us as soon as we walked in, and the floor felt coated in it, making it slick and slimy. A simple vinegar and hot water mop would’ve been better; the smell doesn’t linger and is much easier on people with allergies like ours. Unfortunately, underneath the cleaning scent, there was also a faint mildew or sewage smell that made the space feel even less clean. The bed linens were tattered and worn, and the mattress was clearly past its prime. It also seemed like the bed frame didn’t have proper slats for support, so the middle sagged. We did get some rest after a long drive, but we spent most of the night climbing out of the dip in the center, accompanied by loud squeaks with every move. Overall, the space felt dingy and thrown together. It really needs a thorough dusting, better attention to cleanliness, and a fresh air-unit filter to feel properly maintained.

There is a hole in the shower floor, the pillows and the comforter were dirty the furniture was not very clean

My first impression was CUTE!. Just big enough for solo traveler. I tried to unpack for my 3-nights. The hanging rod was 8 ft high so it couldn't be reached, no hangers. I had to pile my bags and clothing into the caaninet, unpacking each day. The microwave was filthy, nasty grease & grime. I used the bathroom and went to wash my hands and there was that pink slime around the drain...you know, the bacteria that grows from not being cleaned in months. I washed my hands, used the old ratty towel (did NOT smell bad at all, so that was nice), then I went to Walmart for cleaning supplies. I wiped the goo off the microwave, the cupboard door, the front door and handles, the bathroom toilet, there was "something" on toilet lid. Floors & shower slimy. I had to wash the moldy coffee pot and there was a TON of spilled coffee ON the coffee pot burner. The basket was moldy. Cleaning the pot and coffee maker took me 45 minutes. It obviously had never been cleaned between tenants. First night sleeping was hindered by heavy mold smell. I covered my face to sleep. The room does have a ceiling fan and a wall AC unit, both were ON upon arrival. Next day I turn AC off and mold smell was gone so I tried to sleep with no AC, just fan. At 2 am I was soaked in sweat. Fan was set WINTER mode, it was filthy so I had to clean it (at 2am) then flip switch, use lace curtain as filter on ac. Better. Cut my stay short, didn't stay even tho I paid for 3 nights. Shower curtain needs washed!

The bedding on top was dirty. The coffee maker looked like it had never been washed.

This is one of the cheapest places to stay in the area. That was a plus. Check in was easy, communication was great until check in. After check in the person stopped responding to my texts but I didn't need anything so not a huge deal. I wanted to stay longer as the room was unique, comfortable, and cheap. However, it was not clean. At first glace it was but during the night I had 3 bugs get on me, the corners of the room and walls were dirty. The AC had dust/mildew on the vent. The last straw was when I dropped the soap near the toilet. I picked it up and it had bits of hair from some guy shaving on it and was dirty. For the price, it is about what I expected but the soap incident gave me too much ick and instead of extending my stay I went to a more typical hotel. $20 more/night but no bugs or chin hairs. Also I was uncomfortable walking in my barefeet. The floor felt like it had some kind of reside on it. Not sticky so I just assumed it's something that they mopped with but contributed to the ick factor.

Clean, nice and neat rooms

The place was super cute. My issues were that there was no front office staff. Everything had to go through calling or texting. The AC wasn’t working properly and the reception on the phone told me it should, and never followed up with me. Then there were hairs in the bed and the comforter looks like it was never washed. So I couldn’t sleep well there thinking I was sleeping in a dirty bed.

The room was dusty, hairballs randomly around and there was a pair of man’s boxers behind the bathroom door..

Unit 4 is nothing like the pictures. The unit was extremely small. The mattress is terrible. Lots of outside noise between 10:00pm-2:00am.

Based on the photos online, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but to my surprise, it turned out better than I anticipated.They sent the room number and door lock code via text, and we had no trouble accessing the room. Although it was small, it had everything we needed for a weekend stay in Joplin. The room included a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, which was convenient. I especially liked the cozy decor, it gave the space a warm, welcoming feel. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we’d definitely love to return next year for our annual pilgrimage to Carthage.

On the Main Street, traffic only quiet do n till midnight. Motor bikes are frequently passing by

The only thing that kept it from getting a 5 star rating is the location and the bed. It is on a main road and the traffic nose is intrusive. The bed is thin and squeaky.

Totally worn out mattress that sinks into the abyss in the center in unit #10. Couldn’t sleep most of night. Check in did not go smoothly.

Easy stay if you are looking for an overnight stay. It was tiny but perfect!

Honestly not to picky of a guy just looking for somewhere to rest my head easy going. I have had a great experience here my 1 thing is the internet it will just drop multiple times in a morning and be off for the most 5 min but everything else perfect.

The pros: The cottage was in a great location. The diner across the street "Babes" was such a treat. Check in was very easy. Air conditioning worked great as did the hot water. The decor was so cute. The mini fridge and microwave were a plus as well. The cons: The wifi was awful and we couldn't watch TV due to buffering. I texted management to see if there was a fix but did not get a response. The bed was very hard and only had two pillows. We also only had 2 towels for two people for 2 nights. Since I did not get a response to my text about the wifi, we just went to the store and bought a couple of towels and pillows. Overall- the place was so so. For $100 a night we could have stayed at a chain hotel with better amenities. Next time we will read the reviews more closely.

This property was perfect for my one-night stay. Not having the front desk on-site was a little confusing, but when I called, they were great. The room was well equipped and I felt safe there. This is NOT a place for people who require extreme quiet and silence. I'm not one of those people, but there were a number of dirt bikes racing up and down the road in front of the property overnight. I slept well and had no issues.

Room was ok. Had to call and text several times and wait for the door code to be able to check in. Ended up having to put up a $200 deposit for having an in town ID which was not mentioned online when reservation was made. I was told I would get it back when I checked out. They put a hold on my card for the room plus deposit and the full amount ended up being taken out of my account and am still waiting on my deposit as I checked out 2 days ago.

I never stayed in room, when i arrived late that night with agreement made 1 day prior , i open door of room and there was a person sleeping in the bed. I called and called left messages and text message several times and no response. I tried for 1 1/2 hours it is now midnight and i had been traveling for 12.8 hours very tired. So my daught

I was a bit apprehensive when I arrived as there is no front desk as such. I called the hotel number and within a minute or two I received a text with instructions and a PIN code for the door. Although the room was small it was very cosy and had everything you need. I really liked my stay here and would definitely stay again. Be sure to visit the food place next door, their burgers are the best I have ever had.

We made a reservation on line. We got to the property at 8:40 pm and since there was no one at the office, called the phone number listed. No answer there either. Left a message to get instructions for check/in. Their voicemail said they would call back ASAP. After 20 minutes, I called again - same results. After 45 minutes, called again and said we were going somewhere else to stay. Terrible customer service. So disappointing.

The worst experience I’ve had. We were locked out of our room. Called over 30 times. Texted. Left voicemails. Started calling off of my husbands phone. NOTHING. Ended up having to call the non emergency line. Slept in our car until 2am. The next morning all we received was a text saying sorry. The cop said “this isn’t the first time”

Unable to check in. Check-in desk door indicates they have no check-in times on Sundays. Called, left message, texted, messaged in app, drivey around property, waited over an hour. Could not check in. Still no response even the next day.

I will never know how the rooms are. The property representative was not available for check in and never responded to my calls or texts. The Expedia rep blamed me for not contacting the property “24 hours” before check in as mentioned in special instructions. Ok, my mistake! Still, even Expedia was unable to reach the property! I had to book a room at a different motel. If there was a family emergency I understand, hopefully that wasn’t the case.

Was not able to check in, listed as office open 24-7, checkin at 3, the office closed at 3 according to the sign on the door. We arrived at 5, called the number on the sign, message said to text for checkin, which I did, as well as leaving a phone message. No one returned my call or text, we ended up driving back home 2 hours since we didn't have a room. There was another woman also trying to find someone so she could check in. she left as well. Very disappointed.

We received no email or contact regarding checking in. When we showed up, no one was there. The pictures never show that these tiny cabins are located directly on a busy road in a commercial area. Not the ideal place for a romantic get-away. However, a step above the average motel, probably.

It was easy access to everything and easy to find. Staff was very helpful even at later hours in the night.

Lovely, clean and comfortable, with good facilities, but a little on the snug side, You can even sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy some afternoon / evening sun. However you are right next to route 66.

This is the 2nd time i stayed in one of the cabins. They feel like home unlike other hotels. My only complaint is that they are right next to a busy road and you can hear every car that passes by.

Nice area. Close drive to university in pittsburg kansas. Look forward to booking again soon.

This is an adorable little cottage at a historical motor Inn! So cute! Nicely remodeled, nicely decorated. The cottage was very clean, had tiny fridge, microwave, coffee maker, even had coffee!

We had a great time! Check in was easy. Love the little house concept. Right next door to an amazing ice cream drive in.

The room was everything you could need. Clean, comfy, HOT shower, coffe maker that brewed more than just a pods worth, Air conditioning or a fan, the choice was yours, kept the room cool. Easy convenient parking. And over the road, Babes a true pre-macdonalds burger and malt place. Had a great time all round, thank you.

It was a perfect place for us to stay for one night while driving home. Much better than a hotel! We had a nice little minifridge, microwave, clean bathroom (shower only) separate sink in kitchenette. Quiet. Close to a local burger place (Babe's) and Walmart. We enjoyed our stay.

Cute little cabins, small fridge and kitchen sink. Bathroom is really small not built for a plus size person to take a shower. Overall it was perfect for what we needed a close place to Keltoi Winery to stay the night. It was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again. We didn't have any chairs outside cabin 2 or we might have sat outside a bit. Wish they would have sent an email with late check-in instructions that would have helped, but other than that it was a great stay. Babe's is a burger place within walking distance.
