Room was clean, comfortable, well-maintained and reasonably priced. A/C worked, elevator was fast, food was good. Laundry service was quick. Room phone often didn't work, so couldn't call front desk, housekeeping, or room service. Great view from rooftop pool. Location was just a block from the beach.

The hotel is very close to the beach so that is a great advantage for it. The pool is not in the best conditions but it’s not that bad. It certainly does not look like the pictures. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nice and the staff as well. Overall was a nice atmosphere just don’t expect it to look like the pictures as it is a little run down.

They treated me like a king during my stay. I was very impressed with the entire staff. The food at the restaurant was very good and I really enjoyed the pool and gym on the rooftop. I highly recommend this place to everyone. They even gave me a goodbye present when I departed, two thumbs up five stars.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the hotel was centrally located. Susie at the front desk was especially kind and very helpful. The swimming pool on the roof was disappointing but to be fair we stayed in the midst of a typhoon and this might have been the reason for its neglect.

The hotel is very close to the sea front/beach and lots of food outlets and shops. This does however mean that it is very busy and noisy until late. The rooms are extremely hot, when we arrived the room had not been cooled or curtains drawn which was very unpleasant considering the outside temperature was about 34 degrees. The staff are friendly and helpful! The hotel offers a car service for trips to local landmarks etc like Hoi an. However, beware the driver will try to upsell you trips to the coconut boats and/or "his sister's tailor shop" and then charge you for it which we did not like. Breakfast was varied every day and had a good selection. The pool area was a little disappointing compared to the online photos and the sky bar has no air conditioning. The gym is entirely pointless i.e. there are no weights on the weight machine so you're left with a treadmill but with no Aircon it's very difficult to use. Overall this hotel is pretty average.

朝食のメニューは豊富で十分満足出来るものでした。スタッフもとてもフレンドリーで顔を見るだけでオムレットを作ってくれました。 部屋は清潔で十分な広さが有り、16日間滞在しましたが、窮屈な事はありませんでした。Wi-Fiは少し弱いですが、動画も問題無く観れます。シャワーも十分な強さがありました。ただ、ベトナムはどこも同じだと思いますが、水洗トイレが流れ難かったので、表示は無かったのですがペーパーは流さ無かったです。屋上のプールは、約12m有り水質も良く、気持ち良く泳いで身体をほぐせました。 また、ホテルで30KD(170円/)1kgで半日位で洗濯が出来たので、コレはとても便利でした。 海まで徒歩5分もかかりません(ホテルでビーチタオルを貸してくれます)。周辺にはレストラン、スパ、カフェ、コンビニ、お土産物屋等全てが徒歩圏内に揃っています。 スタッフの皆さんは親切丁寧で、気持ち良く滞在する事が出来ました。 次回の滞在時にも是非宿泊したいです。

部屋は広くないが清掃が行き届きキレイで清潔感がある。トイレが流れにくい点が致命的。朝食は品数は少ないが、フォーやホワイトローズなど美味しいベトナム料理が楽しめた。カリッとあがった春巻きが最も気に入った。

We stayed at Sunny Ocean Hotel & Spa in a connecting room with our 3 kids and had a really lovely experience. The cleaning staff were excellent – our rooms were always spotless and well taken care of. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Mateo, who stood out with his kindness and made the best omelettes – a real highlight of our mornings! The location is also fantastic – just a 4-minute walk to the beach, with lots of shops, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient for families. The only small downside was the lack of a cozy lounge area with comfortable chairs and coffee, which would have been nice for relaxing in the evenings. Overall, a great spot for families, and we would definitely recommend it!

I stayed for 7 nights and it’s very convenient to most restaurants, few minutes walk to beach and local stores. Rooms are clean and breakfast is good. I loved the services and staffs are very friendly. I highly recommended this hotel for short or long stay.

Maybe it was just because i was on the inside room but the rooms are not sound proof at all, the window i had was to a corridor and you could hear someone talking out there many times. Early in the morning there was a lot of banging in the hotel, maybe construction?? You can hear every little noise coming from the hallway/elevators/neighbors. I only had to stay one night but i couldn’t imagine staying more than that. Also the shower drain didn’t drain while the shower was on, i had to take a quick one to keep the room from flooding! And the ac only turns on if the room key is in and you cannot adjust the temperature. Overall not a pleasant stay.

Staff were all helpful. Room was a disappointment as although it was a superior room there was no window. Also smelt slightly of damp. Staff offered to move us but the new room smelt the same.

This stay wasn’t quite what we were expecting. We weren’t aware that we had booked a room with no window so this did make the room quite dark and stuffy. The room was very basic compared to what was advertised on the website. However, staff were helpful and it was in a great location close to the beach.

So I have stayed at Sunny Ocean Hotel several years running, and I am never disappointed. The location and service just can’t be beat. The reception clerk Kate was exceptional, as she helped me scan and send off some very important documents to the states.

Susie at the front desk was very sweet and accommodating. Upon arrival she gave me a room upgrade and although I had to checkout early, she made it quick and stress free.

The reason I chose this hotel is because the description on Expedia VERY FALSELY claims that it is located within a “nature preserve”. This is a poor and inaccurate translation and totally untrue. The room is also not “soundproof”. It is in a loud city area with street noise audible on the 10th floor at all hours of the day. The hotel staff was the least hospitable of any place we stayed in Vietnam. The bathroom light fixture was filthy with dust and there was tape left behind on surfaces around the room (from a previous guests decorations?). We upgraded to a room with a bathtub, but the water was only cold or barely warm and unable to reach a temperature suitable to take a bath. There was a water pressure (or worse) issue with the toilet, but it was able to flush with concerning effort most of the time. The staff at this hotel never once asked how our stay was until we were checking out. Desk staff never made eye contact or checked in when we were in the lobby coming and going. No help with the bags. Unlike other hotels with staff that ask “may we clean the room now?” this staff asked “you don’t need the room cleaned, right?” and that captures the vibe here well. The high room price is for the location and the view. The beds are comfortable compared to most in Vietnam, but when we we asked for extra pillows, we were told only one additional pillow could be spared. The breakfast buffet is okay but not noteworthy; same with the pool. The sky bar was not staffed at all.

Susie and Henry at the front desk provided excellent customer service. Upon checking in, Susie loaned us an umbrella as we were unprepared, recommended the better food options in the area, accommodating with our large group. During the stay I was having trouble finding some distilled water for the CPAp machine and asked Susie if she could call a medical supply store to check if any was in stock before heading out. When they confirmed they had some she even offered to pick it for me the next day. Checkout was easy and the staff were helpful in checking the weight of the bags and storing the items until our departure. Each day of our stay, we stopped by the free breakfast buffet. It ends at 10am but the staff (Ruby, Stella, and Mateo) were all so kind when I showed up close to closing to grab a quick meal. Never did they rush me or made me feel unwelcome. They even have an omelette station that Ruby and Mateo were often manning and the eggs were delicious. The cleaning staff were really helpful as I always had the “do not disturb” sign up. They would grab trash or towels we left outside and even left replacement items for us. Overall a great experience in a great location.

Staff were excellent !!! They help ensure a fantastic stay. Henry was flexible with our check out time & helped with our airport transportation. He was so sweet wanted us there earlier-he was worried for us ( miss flight) John helped us stay hydrated. Always have a smile when I ask for ice Mateo got our food ready on arrival as we came late (missed a day of stay)

The receptionist Kate was fantastic. Answered all my questions and helped me with my luggage retrieval from a delivery company, even making phone calls for me. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was really good. This hotel offers excellent value-for-money.

The hotel is very close to the sea front/beach and lots of food outlets and shops. This does however mean that it is very busy and noisy until late. The rooms are extremely hot, when we arrived the room had not been cooled or curtains drawn which was very unpleasant considering the outside temperature was about 34 degrees. The staff are friendly and helpful! The hotel offers a car service for trips to local landmarks etc like Hoi an. However, beware the driver will try to upsell you trips to the coconut boats and/or "his sister's tailor shop" and then charge you for it which we did not like. Breakfast was varied every day and had a good selection. The pool area was a little disappointing compared to the online photos and the sky bar has no air conditioning. The gym is entirely pointless i.e. there are no weights on the weight machine so you're left with a treadmill but with no Aircon it's very difficult to use. Overall this hotel is pretty average.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the years and always had a good experience. Great location, just a short walk to the beach. Even the new staff I met this time were super friendly and helpful. I saw some recent complaints about missing towels, but that’s never happened to me. Whenever I needed extra towels, housekeeping brought them quickly without any issue. Came back this time and everything’s still just as good – reliable and professional as always.

Great location walking distance to beach and many eateries on same street. We were on 7th floor and it was still a bit noisy at night, so may be an issue on lower floors. Buffet breakfast was great with a good mix of both Vietnamese and western options. Swimming pool was a bit run down, it looked much nicer in the photos.

Great location a block back and down from the beach, making it super convenient to walk to everything or get an easy Grab. Room was clean and staff were all very nice. Breakfast buffet was also quite nice!

The room was comfortable and breakfast was well prepared. The beach and restaurants are walkable from the hotel. Front desk staff was friendly and arranged local tours. Cleaning staff was good and dependable. In the bar, Mateo, Sarah and Danish made excellent margaritas!

Merci à mesdames Hailey et Kate pour leurs sourires, gentillesses . Très professionnels et accueillantes. Le très gros problème est que le buffet pour le déjeuner est toujours froid, tous les plates sont froides. Ils y a les chauffe- plats mais le personnel ne les utilisent pas, peut-être qu’ils ne savent pas comment les faire fonctionner???. Nous avons réservé pour 5 nuits et le déjeuner était tout froid pendant notre séjours. Il y avait tellement de gaspillage car les clients prennent de grosses assiettes et ils les jettent à moitié car les mets sont froids pour les consommer.

Very disappointed I made a mistake with the time and date flying from America. I booked a night that I already had a reservation so when I checked in, I thought I had two nights, but I actually had made the reservation the night before so I asked politely let me stay an extra night in lieu of the mistake and they didn’t agree to it, which is fine. It was my mistake. They gave me an upgraded room right next to the stairwell. The smoke from that well was disgusting that they put me in the room that I actually paid for it was comfortable. It was a window. Looks like I’m being in a box. The nicest part of the day was the staff extremely kind very helpful and if they ran in the hotel, I’m sure they would’ve been a different outcome. I commend them and appreciate them. I was almost not gonna write anything, but I would want to know this if I was gonna rent a room from them. There’s so many other hotels particularly off-season to choose from, but I made the mistake and I took it like a big boy and he wanted to share my experience.

The hotel is good but it could be improve its maintenance, the hotel in general seems old and not well maintained, the matters is old and noisy and there were not many pillows in the room, just one per person. The staff is very friendly and is very well located. The breakfast isn’t good at all.
