The hosts Richard and Elisabeth were very welcoming and friendly. The house is really pretty with loads of old features. Bedroom very clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious! Would definitely stay there again.

Their skillful updates breathed new life into their gorgeous 200 year old home. Breakfasts were a highlight, featuring superb dishes like ham and cheese quiche, including freshly baked pies lovingly prepared by Liz. We highly highly recommend Buckmaster Inn and we can’t wait to be back.

The breakfast is delicious, their home is out of this world -- so cutely decorated, comfortable, clean -- and they're very friendly, accommodating and give great recommendations. If you're looking for a quiet getaway to Vermont in the gorgeous rolling hills, I highly recommend The Buckmaster Inn!

This Inn was built in 1801, so it’s a very old Inn. There are not enough superlatives. Fantastic. Awesome. Amazing. Going back definitely. All rooms are beautifully furnished with four-posters and very comfortable chairs. Place to be lived in. Immaculately clean. As soon as you walk in you want to stay forever. Warm. Delicious homemade breakfasts. Innkeeper Elizabeth is friendly and accommodating. We could have talked for hours. Still blissing out days later.

We spent eight days in New England and staying with Elizabeth and Richard at the Buckmaster Inn was the highlight of our trip. Great hospitality, great breakfast, great accommodations in a beautifully decorated old home. You should travel out of your way to stay here. Great jumping off point to explore central and southern Vermont.

I had a great stay at the Buckmaster Inn for ski weekend at Okemo. The house is beautiful with many classic colonial touches throughout. Best of all, Richard and Elizabeth are gracious hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable. It snowed the last night of my stay and Richard got up extra early to clear the driveway and my car! I will be back whenever I can visit.

I had a great stay at the Buckmaster Inn for ski weekend at Okemo. The house is beautiful with many classic colonial touches throughout. Best of all, Richard and Elizabeth are gracious hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable. It snowed the last night of my stay and Richard got up extra early to clear the driveway and my car! I will be back whenever I can visit.

We had such a lovely stay here! I booked the smallest room but it was so beautifully decorated and so cozy. The entire house was beautiful and the landscape nearby was gorgeous. Elizabeth was so sweet and friendly and made us feel right at home. The homemade breakfasts were absolutely incredible! We were able to stock up on local maple syrup right across the street before we left too. I definitely hope to stay here again someday.

Elizabeth and Richard were absolutely wonderful hosts! I enjoyed every second of staying at this property. They went out of their way to be hospitable and to make all guests comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic each day and they had wonderful suggestions for the local area. I was already planning a trip back before I had even checked out. Highly recommend!!

Great location in a beautiful spot with a wonderful maple sugar farm across the street. Perfect spot to go sightseeing, hiking, skiing, but also close to Rutland for city activities. Very friendly and comfortable.

Liz & Rich are fabulous hosts and every day serve a fabulous breakfast, always different from the day before. Their home is in a beautiful area that is suitable for every time of the year.

We had such a lovely stay here! I booked the smallest room but it was so beautifully decorated and so cozy. The entire house was beautiful and the landscape nearby was gorgeous. Elizabeth was so sweet and friendly and made us feel right at home. The homemade breakfasts were absolutely incredible! We were able to stock up on local maple syrup right across the street before we left too. I definitely hope to stay here again someday.

The hosts Richard and Elisabeth were very welcoming and friendly. The house is really pretty with loads of old features. Bedroom very clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious! Would definitely stay there again.

A beautiful home to stay in. Our room was perfect.Our host was very welcoming and took time to help us find places to visit. Breakfast was out of this world home baked cakes eggs benedict french toast and pumpkin pancakes with maple syrup. Highly recommend a stay with Elizabeth in this lovely setting .

We had a truly delightful experience at Buckmaster Inn. Liz and Richard, our gracious innkeepers, were exceptional hosts. Their skillful updates breathed new life into their gorgeous 200 year old home. Breakfasts were a highlight, featuring superb dishes like ham and cheese quiche, including freshly baked pies lovingly prepared by Liz. We highly highly recommend Buckmaster Inn and we can’t wait to be back.

Elizabeth and Richard were absolutely wonderful hosts! I enjoyed every second of staying at this property. They went out of their way to be hospitable and to make all guests comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic each day and they had wonderful suggestions for the local area. I was already planning a trip back before I had even checked out. Highly recommend!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Buckmaster Inn. Liz and Rich were the most charming hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and there was such a warmth to their hospitality that we felt almost as if we were staying with family. Our room was stunning. The house itself is on the National Register of Historic Places and has so much character and history. Our room was beautifully furnished, as is the rest of the house, with wonderful attention to detail, lovely décor and a really cosy, homely feel. Breakfast was an unexpected but wonderful surprise, with beautiful homemade cake, fresh fruit and another delicious breakfast dish. It was such a lovely way to start the day. Liz and Rich were also incredibly helpful in recommending places for us to visit and helping us make the most of our time in the area. The location was very easy to navigate from, making it simple to explore the surrounding area. We would return without hesitation. A very special place made even more memorable by such warm and welcoming hosts. Highly recommended.

A true home-away-from-home in Vermont! We had a wonderful stay at The Buckmaster Inn. The house itself is beautiful, set in a gorgeous corner of Vermont, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. What struck us most was how immaculately clean everything was. Every corner of the inn was spotless. Our hosts were friendly, gracious, and accommodating, and made sure we felt at home throughout our stay. The homemade breakfast was excellent, delicious and generous enough to keep us going well into the day. If you're looking for a genuinely cozy stay in a beautiful setting with hosts who truly care, we cannot recommend The Buckmaster Inn highly enough. Warmest recommendations from your Swedish guests!

Hidden gem. Had an absolutely delightful stay. Warm accommodations felt like home. Amazing hosts treated us like family the entire stay. Book this property without hesitation, you will not be disappointed!
