The Grand Cruz Hotel is simply a delight in the most desirous location, right along the river front. We were so pleased with our spacious and well-lit room with all the windows and, such incredible views. This is a perfect boutique hotel. The staff is so professional and willing to assist you in any way. For example, the desk manager offered to help lug our luggage up a hill. Thankfully, it was not necessary. But they go the extra mile. The breakfasts with Andre were perfect and you can sit and watch the river scenes. We loved every moment of our stay here.

Great small place with under 10 rooms. Perfectly situated by the famous Ribeira quayside. A very familiar feel from the reception to the restaurant. BUT! Do not bring the car since regular traffic is prohibited and there is a obstruction on the way down. I think there's only one room with a small balcony so ans for the room named "Pink"

The Gran Cruz House is in the perfect location, right by the river and walkable to all local attractions and restaurants. We stayed in the White Room for one night and the Pink Room for four. Both rooms were lovely but we really loved the Pink Room due to its small balcony and beautiful views. The rooms were nice and clean and the shower pressure was great. The area has a lovely vibe with street entertainers and market stalls and the view from the room was amazing. Some reviews mention noise but once we closed the windows and shutters we couldn’t hear anything at night. The breakfast was lovely and a la carte. All staff provided a friendly and professional service especially Bruno. He’s a true ambasssor for your hotel. Very funny and personable. He provided great restaurant and attractions recommendations. I got an Uber to and from the hotel which meets you just at the top of the road (uphill). I would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

It was an excellent location for us in terms of seeing and doing what we wished to do. The staff was very accommodating and even provided a boxed breakfast for us on a morning that we joined an early tour group. Breakfast was delicious at the hotel.If you like a small hotel with great views of the river and a welcoming staff then this is the place ! A word of advice...pack lightly unless you accept a transfer because some Ubers and taxi's cannot pull up to the door.

This property is gorgeous! Wonderful location. The hotel is so beautiful and the service excellent! The rooms with a wonderful view to the river. The only thing I should request is to tell you that a taxi can leave you right in front of the hotel. So if you bring your own car with your luggage, a taxi can take you to the hotel from the parking lot.

Beautiful small 8 room hotel on the prime corner overlooking the Porto waterfront- not quiet- but great music playing in the square until about 10 - parking is a few blocks away but worth leaving your big suitcase and carrying in an overnight bag - best restaurant ever!

Parking can be hard to find near the river in Porto. Staff were amazing. Booked NYE dinner on site, and were not disappointed. Started eating at 8pm and the pace kept us busy until just before the midnight fireworks across the river at WOW. This evening was well worth the expense, and would do it again! Thank you everyone that was part of our evening!!!

Stayed 3nights. Very comfortable and clean, air conditioning worked well/ quiet. The noise from the street was audible through the vintage/ old single pane the glass but it died down enough by11pm or so... didn't have to use ear plugs though it was nice that they're provided. Antonio at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful to many questions and provided a recommendation (and got us reservations) to a fantastic restaurant for dinner ( Adega Dona Antonia ). Breakfast/ items was also very good including the coffee and very attentive/ friendly service from both waiters on both mornings. The third morning they packed us a breakfast to go since we had to leave early. Small/ inconspicuous entry to hotel Might be hard to find if you don't have a guide. We would recommend to stay here. We were on the 5th floor ( Vintage room)

Very cute boutique hotel in a prime location on the river. Sightseeing was all quite walkable. Staff were incredibly friendly and breakfast was delicious. Room (non-balcony) was clean, bed was large, bathroom decent size, great water pressure but overall, a smaller room. Overall, would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the riverfront, old town part of Porto.

The white room is beautiful and has beautiful views of the river. Very clean, well maintained, excellent staff. We left super early to catch our flight, and they surprised us with a to-go breakfast box from the restaurant. Very nice detail and came in handy!

Lovely boutique hotel situated on the riverfront in Ribeira. Easy walking access to all attractions and right in the centre of all restaurants and bars. Friendly helpful staff and comfortable and spotlessly clean throughout. It has a small restaurant with balcony and views over the river great menu for evenings. Couldn’t fault this hotel we will be back.

Our stay at the Gran Cruz was really spectacular. Nestled in the historic river district, the room provided beautiful views of the river below. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Be prepared for music from the street but ended by 10:30 ensuring a good night sleep. Breakfast was delicious and the view just lovely. Highly recommend

Great location close to everything. The staff was super helpful and in particular Artur who was the waiter at breakfast was fantastic. He provided great recommendations on touring and was a fabulous waiter.

The Grand Cruz Hotel is simply a delight in the most desirous location, right along the river front. We were so pleased with our spacious and well-lit room with all the windows and, such incredible views. This is a perfect boutique hotel. The staff is so professional and willing to assist you in any way. For example, the desk manager offered to help lug our luggage up a hill. Thankfully, it was not necessary. But they go the extra mile. The breakfasts with Andre were perfect and you can sit and watch the river scenes. We loved every moment of our stay here.

Great location in center of everything. Staff does a fantastic job, even packed us a breakfast when we had to leave for an early flight. Restaurant was a surprise, it’s a really great dinner option with great view, food and service. Loved everything about this place.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Excellent location. Fantastic breakfast served on outside terrace overlooking the river. The hotel was extremely prompt at replying to messages in advance of our stay.

It was an excellent location for us in terms of seeing and doing what we wished to do. The staff was very accommodating and even provided a boxed breakfast for us on a morning that we joined an early tour group. Breakfast was delicious at the hotel.If you like a small hotel with great views of the river and a welcoming staff then this is the place ! A word of advice...pack lightly unless you accept a transfer because some Ubers and taxi's cannot pull up to the door.

Conveniently located in the heart of everything. The room was clean, updated, and beautiful with a great view. The best part is the staff, by far. The front desk was especially helpful in arranging for an early morning taxi to take us to the airport, in providing extra towels and toiletries, and recommending points of interest. The breakfast was exceptional; not to be missed.

Our stay at the Gran Cruz was really spectacular. Nestled in the historic river district, the room provided beautiful views of the river below. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Be prepared for music from the street but ended by 10:30 ensuring a good night sleep. Breakfast was delicious and the view just lovely. Highly recommend

Just a bit noisy for sleeping. This location is very popular and it does stay busy until 1 am. Make sure you have good ear plugs. The location, staff, accommodations and especially the food is outstanding. Great gin tonic with juniper berries cocktail. I ended up buying the gin at the duty free shop on the way home.

We loved our stay at the Gran Cruz House. The hotel is right on the busy riverside, so it is a bit noisy until midnight, but other than that this tiny boutique hotel is a gem. Staff was very helpful. Rooms are comfy. Do try the Casario Restaurant in the hotel. The tasting menu was our best Porto restaurant experience.

We loved everything about the hotel, most of all the service (special shout out to Bruno). The hotel restaurant's host was wonderful. The chef bakes fresh bread, including gluten free options.

I’m a bit of a fussy traveler and this place was amazing! loved the location, we stayed in the white room, slightly bigger I’m assuming, it was great with an amazing view of the river and nightlife. What really set this place apart was the absolutely amazing breakfast that’s included, always a perfect way to start the day!

It was an amazing stay for me.. the design, the room, the view couldn’t be better, being a sailor and scubadiver and a blue enthusiastic girl, I fell in love with the art in the room and the whole concept.. And the restaurant, the breakfast, the dinner, the view.. just amazing, the whole design in every single corner is amazing! And a big thanks to all super friendly people/staff I ve met in the hotel! Whenever I come back to Porto I d definetly love to stay in your hotel again and again

This hotel is located on the river at the bottom of this historic district. You literally cannot ask for a better location! There are plenty of restaurants and tours just outside the door. The room was a decent size, and well maintained, with the exception of the A/C. To be fair the temps were 37 Celsius / 98 Fahrenheit. But the a/c did not work at all. At night it was cooler to just open the windows. If you travel in late June/July just plan for no a/c. The staff is friendly and very accommodating, helping organize transfers that are needed since taxis and Ubers can’t go all the way to the river. The breakfast is a sit down service and very good. Eggs, fruit, bread, yogurt. I would return here in cooler months.
