Alaska Log Cabins on The Pond B & B

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabins on the pond ! We were looking for a rural and quiet place to stay at that was also close to town and that would allow us to see the northern lights right from the porch. This is exactly what this place offers ! The cabins are fairly small, yet very well organized with lots of shelves, 2 comfortable desk chairs, little benches, hooks, a fridge, microwave, etc. Overall super functional. There are 2 spacious bathrooms in a separate cabin that were kept clean along our stay. The only thing that was "missing" was a good internet connection. There is a modem in the cabin, but the connection was too slow to be able to get work done. Just be aware of this if you plan to work remotely from there. Our cell reception was very good though, so we attended our work meetings on our phones. If you can unplug and enjoy a full vacation there this is definitely better for you, but if like us you still have to get some occasional work done during your time off this is something to consider. We stayed at the cabin for 6 nights and were able to see the northern lights on 4 nights ! This was a magical show away from the popular crowded viewing points of Fairbanks. We did not see any wildlife but we did see fresh moose and fox tracks around the cabin. So cool !
