Received a very warm welcome from Jade on reception. She is an absolute asset to your team. Bar was nice and sat outside in the courtyard for a very tasty steak sandwich. Parking on site is free and at the back of the hotel. Nice place to stay and would go back again.

Everything was perfect : splendid building and bedrooms. Beautifully decorated. Peaceful surroundings. A beautiful park on the doorstep. The staff were excellent. The different restaurants were great. What else could we ask for?!

The hotel was clean, dining options are limited in the hotel but bar was nice. There is a ecopark walking distance and a restaurant called Tuk Tuk that was very good, highly recommend them. Grocery and pharmacy walking distance as well. Room was a little crammed, but clean. No smart TV, and limited channels. They had luve music in the bar on Friday and Saturday night.

Avalon House is top notch! It felt like a cozy inn. It was very clean, had excellent staff/service, and included free and easy onsite parking. Breakfast was excellent, as was the pub/bar area. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Avalon House. The decor is beautiful, the grounds perfectly manicured and the food in both restaurants is absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Wish our stay was longer.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is tastefully decorated and well kept. Excellent food at the hotel’s restaurant, outstanding breakfast with plenty of options. Convenient car park, friendly staff. It doesn’t get much better than this

This is an amazing Hotel, a lovely blend of the modern bedrooms with the nostalgic stately home for the other areas. Mattresses very hard for me, but then that can be personal preference, but I struggled to sleep. Staff very friendly and super attentive to the needs of guests. This would be a beautiful wedding venue, with the quality of the food, the awesome staff coupled with an idyllic location, 5 stars

The room and staff was great. There were however a few big issues for us. The cleanliness of the Bar and Breakfast area- glasses were dirty with lipstick and grime. The bar area needs a deep clean-lots of fruit flies we were swatting while trying to enjoy a drink, the smell of the bar area was almost unbearable. It hasn’t been deep cleaned in awhile. They hosted a private event in the outdoor bar space and didn’t clean up completely after the event. Woke up the next morning to the remnants of a big party

Pela nota do hoteis.com tinha uma expectativa muito maior do hotel, pois sempre tento reservar com notas acima de 9, porém as fotos nos leva a esperar uma coisa e a realidade foi outra. Estávamos em casal e o quarto era minusculo, não sou muito exigente, porem esperava o minimo de espaço para conseguir abrir uma mala, o unico local que dava era onde abria a porta do quarto, então se a mala estivesse no chão aberta, ninguém saia ou entrava no quarto. O cafe da manha não é buffet, os pratos são bem tipicos de comidas da região, o que não nos agradou. Para chegar no quarto tinha uma escada logo seguido de uma porta, o que dificulta conseguir subir as malas.

After a long flight, we were very happy to be able to rest in this beautiful place. The staff were all friendly and answered all our questions. We arrived quite late, 6:30pm in the evening. We ate at the Avalon restaurant for supper at 7pm. The meals were wonderful. The breakfast the next morning was wonderfully good and very filling, if you have the option to pick the breakfast included in your stay, I would highly recommend it. My family all had a great sleep in the very comfy beds. We would stay again if we ever have the opportunity to pass through. Family of five.

Probably the most beautiful, most tastefully designed hotel I've ever stayed at. It was an unexpected gem, truly lovely hotel, nice staff, a few steps away from the adventure park. Nice breakfast choices, comfortable, beautiful, clean room.

Super experience, la chambre était très belle. Nous avond pu garer la voiture au parking et l'établissement est très proche de la ville de Kilkenny. Très bons services également, nous 1vons apprécié la baignoire avec les produits Rituals et le thé dans la chambre.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Castlecomer hotel, and loved the Discovery Park Nextdoor! Hotel was very clean and staff members were kind and helpful. The hotel decor was charming, as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Avalon House. The decor is beautiful, the grounds perfectly manicured and the food in both restaurants is absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Wish our stay was longer.

The property was nice and clean. The cleaning people did leave a dirty cloth in my sink, but i wasn't staying long. The only thing I disliked was there was only one spot there were outlets. I definitely go back here. It is a 20 min drive into the center of town.

Great stay, hotel was lovely, nice vibe and very family friendly or great for a wedding. We had dinner in the restaurant upstairs and it was superb! We went to the Discovery park while there and perfect proximity to each other.

The room and staff was great. There were however a few big issues for us. The cleanliness of the Bar and Breakfast area- glasses were dirty with lipstick and grime. The bar area needs a deep clean-lots of fruit flies we were swatting while trying to enjoy a drink, the smell of the bar area was almost unbearable. It hasn’t been deep cleaned in awhile. They hosted a private event in the outdoor bar space and didn’t clean up completely after the event. Woke up the next morning to the remnants of a big party

Pela nota do hoteis.com tinha uma expectativa muito maior do hotel, pois sempre tento reservar com notas acima de 9, porém as fotos nos leva a esperar uma coisa e a realidade foi outra. Estávamos em casal e o quarto era minusculo, não sou muito exigente, porem esperava o minimo de espaço para conseguir abrir uma mala, o unico local que dava era onde abria a porta do quarto, então se a mala estivesse no chão aberta, ninguém saia ou entrava no quarto. O cafe da manha não é buffet, os pratos são bem tipicos de comidas da região, o que não nos agradou. Para chegar no quarto tinha uma escada logo seguido de uma porta, o que dificulta conseguir subir as malas.

This is a quiet little jewel of a hotel. We absolutely loved our stay here! The food was great. We had the chicken ham pot pie and it was delicious! After dinner we had a nice stroll across the bridge to the Discovery park. The staff was kind and delightful. Service was exceptionally good. The room was beautiful and comfortable with nice big towels. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had a very restful night. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and cooked to order. Never had lemon pancakes before and they were light and refreshing. Again, the service at breakfast was great. This stay was beyond our expectations. I highly recommend it.

After a long flight, we were very happy to be able to rest in this beautiful place. The staff were all friendly and answered all our questions. We arrived quite late, 6:30pm in the evening. We ate at the Avalon restaurant for supper at 7pm. The meals were wonderful. The breakfast the next morning was wonderfully good and very filling, if you have the option to pick the breakfast included in your stay, I would highly recommend it. My family all had a great sleep in the very comfy beds. We would stay again if we ever have the opportunity to pass through. Family of five.

We wish we had booked a longer stay. Hotel is one of the best we have stayed in on our travels worldwide. From check in, by a wonderful young man, so helpful and a room upgrade to the wonderful meal in the bar which was beautiful and excellent value. The bar had a huge range of beers which is always a plus. Room was amazing, and wow, what a bathroom. Breakfast was cooked fresh and a great choice on menu, ahain excellent value. The things that really stood out to us was the fine details of the decor, from beautiful flower outside, the wonderful lift doors, fabulous light in reception and the really thought out artwork on the walls. Best thing about the whole place was the excellent staff. We will recommend to any friends who are travelling to Ireland.

We asked for a cart to bring in our tons of luggage expecting to go out to the car with it to unload. Not only did they bring us a cart but they came out to the car and helped us with all of the luggage. When we checked in, our rooms were very warm. We thought we had adjusted the air conditioning in both rooms before dinner but when we came back, one room was still hot. When I said something to the man at reception, he came right up and fixed it. We really appreciated how they went the extra mile to help us
