Moxy Darmstadt

Nous avons du tous sortir de l’hôtel en pleine nuit (2h), car l'alarme à incendie s'est déclenché: j' ai passé une très mauvaise nuit avant une grande journée de travail!

Zimmerservice nur alle 3 Tage. Man schläft also bei längerem Aufenthalt in ungemachten Betten. Dienstleistungsorientierung des Personals lässt zu wünschen übrig. Kein weiteres Mal Moxy Hotels!

Good hotel in easy walking distance from the station and to public transport into the centre. In a quiet area close to offices. Quiet well appointed bed rooms. Nice buffet breakfast and area for drinks and socialising in the evening. Evening meal not the best so suggest eating elsewhere. Minimal staffing, so felt a bit stretched at times. For uk travellers probably comparable to premier inn. Darmstadt a nice city - Matildenhohe very picturesque, lovely Herrengarten park, waldspirale architecture, and fossils in messel - all worth seeing. Excellent public transport - clean, efficient and cheap. Good base to explore the region - had a very enjoyable stay

Thin walls meant I could listen to the phone in the room next door vibrate when getting text messages throughout the night as if it were in the desk in my room (for some reason that person was getting texts every 30’ from midnight to 6am!). Not under the control of the administration but it wouldn’t happen if the walls were properly insulated. On top of it, staff was very slow to show at check in (3 people serving guests on the restaurant while we waited for 5’). I’m not staying at a Moxy hotel again.
