Kates Farm Bed and Breakfast

Good welcome from the host and her lovely dogs which was good as we had our dog,room was small and tea making facilities were in with toilet and wash basin,first of all were dissapointed but on awaking the next morning realised yes this is an old farmhouse and should respect as its old and not been modernised at all and to alot of people would be amazed with thus old building ,and we have been spoilt by doing cruises etc,the host is a wonderful lady, so funny ,and a real lovely lady to talk to and we wish her the very best for the future

A lovely, quirky place to stay! Kate and her dogs are super friendly, the views are amazing and an incredible breakfast!

We stayed at Kates Farm for a couple of nights as it was a convenient distance from Kilmington where we were attending a family party. We were given a friendly welcome and the food was excellent, from the tea and biscuits which Kate provided on our arrival through to the delicious farmhouse breakfasts. The room was quite small but it did have the advantage of a door leading out on the garden so we could easily let our wire haired dachshund out. He did disgrace himself by jumping into the garden pond to cool down but Kate was not fazed by this and suggested dunking him in the nearby trough to clean him off. The coast is easily accessible by car from the farmhouse and we enjoyed a swim in the sea at Branscombe on a baking hot day. Enjoyable all round.

We had a really lovely 2 night stay at Kate's B&B. Amazing characterful old farmhouse in a beautiful rural location. Kate was an friendly chatty host who provided brilliant breakfasts and was on hand to help and advise on where best to go
