Clean and comfortable hotel in the CBD, close to lots of shops and restaurants. There’s a nice cocktail bar on the ground floor. I didn’t eat breakfast at the café because there was a kitchenette in the room. Walkable to ANU.

The Sebel could have been a great little spot if they could fix their parking situation. It was communicated that parking was local and convenient however it took over 1.5 hours both days of our stay to find anything. The parking recommended by hotel shuts at 7pm and you cannot remove car until next morning. I would not stay again due to this.

Schreibe normal keine positiven Bewertungen, aber hier hat wirklich mal alles gepasst. Freundliches kompetentes Personal, Angenehmer flair vom empfang bis zum Zimmer, welches nicht drückt, ein großes Fenster hat, sauber und modern eingerichtet ist und alles bietet, was man benötigt. Von einem Schreibtisch mit gepolstertem Stuhl über eine Küchenzeile mit herdplatte, einem Badezimmer mit geräumiger dusche (gut das Waschbecken könnte 10cm breiter sein) und einem absolut komfortablen Bett. Am morgen fühlt man sich wie ausgewechselt. In der Lobby steht noch ein PC mit Drucker bereit, der kostenlos verwendet werden darf. Das ganze so zentral wie nur möglich zu einem „für australische Verhältnisse“ wirklich fairen preis. Die umstände einen Parkplatz im Umfeld suchen zu müssen entschädigt das Hotel alle male.

It is utterly absurd to have a hotel with no parking available at all and to then just point to a QR code to scan to find your way to the nearest car park 7 minutes walk away (not 3 as informed). If you are a mother travelling with children, after a long drive arriving late, this is a very unwelcoming difficult situation to have to deal with!

Liked: - kitchenette - it is very small so don't expect to do a roast dinner but suited me to prep some of my own meals - comfortable bed - clean - mostly quiet -- no noise from outside but I was directly across from the lift (which was very close to the front door) and was woken by people coming in late on Saturday night. Just ask for a room away from the lift. Disliked: - parking is off-site - gym is in basement and a bit spooky.

Great property at a great price. Sadly had a housekeeping issue where the pillows had no pillow slips on the bed and were covered in hair. Requested the pillows be fixed and came back to find the pillows had simply been thrown in the wardrobe. Night staff got replacements but bit disappointing. Other than that rooms and facilities are great. Will stay again

A very central city location but no onsite parking. My room was pet friendly but could have been a bit cleaner. (Spills on the wall next to the bed & alot of dust on sills & baseboards) Front desk staff were lovely & had extra towels ready for my pooch when asked. The pet offerings such as wipes, poopy bags, comfortable dog bed & clean bowls were great. The carpet in the hallway needs to be cleaned as its obvious other pets had had accidents in the hall & the stains were just left on the carpets. Reasonable accommodation for the cost. Would only stay again because its pet friendly.

I recently stayed at The Sebel Canberra Civic and while the location is excellent — centrally situated and within walking distance to Canberra City Centre — my experience left much to be desired. Firstly, although the hotel appears relatively new, the cleanliness was very disappointing. I found significant dust and even trash under the bed, raising serious concerns about whether the room had been properly cleaned prior to my stay. Secondly, I encountered an issue with the parking fees. I arrived on Friday, 18 July, and asked the reception about parking. I was told that it costs $3 per day. I even followed up around 10 PM to confirm whether the parking ticket needed validation, and the staff again assured me that the rate was a flat $3 per day. However, the next day I was charged $16. Upon inquiring, I was informed of a breakdown I was never told about: 6 PM – 12 AM: $3 12 AM – 6 AM (overnight): $10 6 AM onwards: $3 This discrepancy made me feel misled and unfairly charged. Transparency around fees is a basic expectation, and it’s unacceptable that this was not clearly communicated upfront. Great location and modern amenities but the cleanliness is sub par. Happened to pull the sheet covers back and the doona was stained. The surfaces are clean in the bathroom but the grate was full of gunk and all corners in the bathroom had a build up and were filthy. Pots and pans in the kitchenette were gross and need a deep clean. Pretty disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend or go back. Also “parking available” on the website is very misleading. Parking available means onsite. Should say parking nearby. A good 10 min walk and thankful we used the right suitcase instead of our carry bags.

Overall a great stay. But the bathroom floor has a small step up above the kitchen floor. It should have a yellow strip in the doorway to indicate different floor level as this can be a bit of a trip hazard especially at night if you get up to use the toilet.

we specifically asked at reception for our room to be cleaned. when we came back at around 9, the room was still the same as we left it. When we called reception , Zain (receptionist) was rude and didnt have any idea how to communicate with customer. I still have screenshots from booking where it says that towels and sheets will be provided on request that we did and housekeeping is daily. So, overall worst place to live because of pathetic service and rude staff.. I will recommend not to book this place if you want to have good time. there are so many other places available in the same area like QT, Quest etc. but do not go for this place anywhere in the world.

It was difficult to contact reception due to the phone not connecting. Otherwise the stay was excellent. Great location and comfortable room. Modern finishes and close to so many shops and transport options.

A very convenient hotel for the purposes of my visit. It was close to the shopping centre, the supermarket, the bus and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything that I needed. The pillows were so comfortable! I would stay here again.

Excellent location for easy access to airport. The Rapid R3 bus from the airport leaves you just outside. Less than a 2 minute walk to the very large Canberra Mall with large foodcourt, shop and supermarkets including Coles, Aldi and Big W. In addition, outside the mall there is a large choice of restaurants and eateries.

Great location. Walkable distance to restaurants and shopping mall. I parked in the wrong lot but front desk still offered me free one day parking ticket, many thanks. Would recom to my friends when they visit Canberra.

Great apartment with amazing comfortable bed! Wish I had one at home. Main bus stop to go across to Parliament/NGA downstairs and easy walk to Canberra Civic and ANU. Recommend

Great little motel right in the heart of civic. Parking is a bit tricky especially at busy times. Parking in the Canberra centre is cheap at $10 p/n but you’ll need to offload luggage and check in then park. But this motels location is excellent - a stones throw to the Canberra centre, across the road from the entertainment precinct and a pleasant stroll to civic pubs and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and there’s a couple of quaint little coffee shops in the complex. A great place to stay.

A recently renovated, clean hotel with a good cafe/coffee shop. Great location for shops, theaters, amenities etc. Would stay there again. They accidentally double charge me for parking, but put it right once I pointed it out.

Friendly staff and very decent price for CBD accomm. Parking overnight at Canberra Centre was only $8 (hotel QR code said $16 instead of the usual $40) which was a nice surprise. No room service but nice restaurant across foyer.

Very good location, comfortable. The only drawback was that there's no check-in parking, and little parking on-site (all full when we stayed.) We were directed to the Canberra Centre shopping centre car-park, which was cheap (at the weekend, maybe not during the week) but a fair walk away. Make sure you leave your bags at the hotel before driving off to park your car.
