Ambra Villa con Jacuzzi

We loved our stay in Como. The property was clean and comfortable but not well equipped for the number of guests it accommodates. One 2 cup coffee maker was not enough for our party. One towel per person for 5 days was not enough. One hair dryer was not enough for 5 women although Andrey did bring us 4 new ones. We did love the property and the views otherwise.

Overall, the villa was wonderful. The views were great. The rooms were all comfortable. It was perfect for our group of Eight. I was surprised on the distance up from Menaggio. I thought we would be able to walk it. But note it’s multiple switchbacks and quite a ways up the mountainside. We enjoyed the jacuzzi though we wished for some less windy days Just a few things to ask for in the future. If you’re offering a jacuzzi, then you need to supply additional towels . One small and one large towel per person for the week just isn’t enough! And be prepared if you have more than one car, it’s a tight space to maneuver your cars into the driveway. But then again, it’s a squeeze just driving around many of the streets. But overall, we loved the Villa and location. Lake Como is just beautiful.

Our family stayed in early May 2025. The house has five bedrooms with 3 upstairs and 2 downstairs with bathrooms for each bedroom. The only access up and down is outside so it’s like two separate living spaces which is ideal for large families. They each have kitchens and living spaces. It has a beautiful view of the lake and is within walking distance of a golf course. Parking is tight but can be done, we had two large vehicles and found that backing them in was easiest. Simon was our point of contact and was prompt and incredibly friendly. The only issues is that the washer is around back in a utility room and there is no dryer but heated towel racks were used to dry clothes. There was also a presence of some ants but it had rained a good bit early in the trip. Menaggio is a little slower and one of the prettier places in the lake. I’m glad we stayed.

Ants throughout house - in kitchen/bedrooms, including in the refrigerator-which was a first. No dishrack to clean plates, no paper towels, no dish soap, no bathroom soap. 3 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people. 1 large/1small towel for 1 week or pay for added towels. Large dust balls under most of the beds. No microwave.
