The Sparrow Hotel

The Sparrow is a small boutique hotel located in a great part of central Stockholm. A converted office/apartment building it features a vintage elevator and lots if period features. Comfortable rooms. Good food. Great service.

Lovely rooms with an excellent breakfast in a very quiet space. Bonus for the well equipped gym. Location is very convenient with literally downtown Stockholm at your feet. My favourite.

The property is very good, but for people arriving by car, it\'s just not the most convenient. For starters, no parking options are offered, as they are in other hotels. So if you have a car, you\'d be better off not staying at this hotel. Even when you park in front to unload, there is "zone" to do it, only taxis and a handicaped spot. But the hotel staff was helpful in getting us to a nearby garage, which was over the top expensive. The hotel behind this property does offer parking, and again, that would have been the better option for us, as the price would likely have at least been slightly reduced for guests. Swedish hotels don\'t make a habit of offering parking, we find, as do most German hotels. But overall, we had a good stay and the staff was helpful. We would stay there again but only if we didn\'t have our car with us!

Tyvärr bland de sämre hitell jag bott på i sthlm. Slitet, trångt rum. Hiss som inte fungerade som den skulle hela tiden. Frukosten var sparsam och inte heller god. Vi var väldigt besvikna! Dock fin service, rent och en skön säng.

Fantastiskt hotell, trevligt rum, fin lobby, härlig restaurang, goda drinkar och centralt i Stockholm.

Rummet på våning 6 var kanske inte värt pengarna men hotellet i övrigt var fantastiskt! Trevlig bar med supertrevlig personal - särskilt Teodor! Kul med egenframtagen gin som var riktigt god. Vinbaren var verkligen mysig. Hit åker vi igen!

Great breakfast, friendly staff. The elevator is cool, but a pain bc it's so small and if anyone forgets. Beware, if you're there on Friday or Saturday it's super loud at night from clubs and then at 5am when they are taking out the trash (all the liquor bottles)!

Allt var bra. Finns det något som kan förbättras så är det att kalka av duschmunstycket så där blir bättre tryck och lika så kranen i vasken då det så mindre fräscht ut med så mycket kalklagringar.

Rent på rummet, skön säng och god frukost

Enestående beliggenhet og plettfri service. Komfortabelt hotell med meget god frokost, men litt slitne rom. Spesielt badet var skuffende med skitne flisfuger og misfarget badekar. Fremstår dessverre ikke som helt rent og pent på badet.

Rummet vad ganska dammigt, behövde byta rum pga det men där var också mycket damm på vissa ställen. Service var toppen och frukosten underbar!

Tyvärr motsvarade upplevelsen inte alls vad man kan förvänta sig av ert hotell – varken vad gäller bemötande eller städning. Redan vid incheckningen möttes vi av en yngre man i receptionen med en mindre charmig och oengagerad attityd, vilket gav ett dåligt första intryck. Första natten bodde vi i ett rum som inte var ordentligt städat – badrumsdörren var smutsig och skrivbordet var dammigt och otrorkat. Jag valde då att inte anmärka på det, men när vi bytte rum dagen efter och det visade sig att även det nya rummet var i ännu sämre skick, fick det faktiskt vara nog. I det andra rummet fanns en tom ölburk under sängen, hår i duschen och golvbrunnen, skräp och snus på badrumsgolvet, dammråttor på golvet samt en bit kirurgtejp fastklistrad på sidan av nattduksbordet. Toalettdörren var dessutom smutsig med synliga rinningar. Finns det ingen housekeeping manager som kontroller dessa saker? Är städpersonalen inte informerad om alla självklara viktiga detaljer gällande städning? När vi påpekade detta för personalen fick vi endast svaret: “Oj, det var inte bra, vi har varit underbemannade, vi ska ta bort det.” Sedan hände ingenting mer – bara en kort ursäkt, ingen kompensation och ingen uppföljning. Det är inte acceptabelt. Vi hade bokat tre rum till en kostnad av 7 700 kr, och för det priset förväntar man sig betydligt högre standard, både vad gäller renlighet och bemötande! Frukosten var bra & sängkläderna får högsta poäng!

The room was clean but a lot of worn details, especially in the bathroom which unfortunately contributes to an unclean overall vibe. The staff is very nice but I did have housekeeping coming into my room twice during my two day stay without knocking first… there was no “do not disturb” sign to be found in the room and the second time it happened I was actually changing so I didn’t feel very safe.

Mycket trevligt hotell, behöver dock avkalka handfats kranar - det har byggts upp beläggning och var samma förra gången jag var där. Annars älskar jag Sparrow och kommer tillbaka nästa gång det bär av till Stockholm

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. My only concern was I requested a quiet room, I was on the Main Street with a lovely view, however it was not quiet at night, there is a reason why they supply earplugs in your room. When I checked into my room, there was leftover trash in the bathroom bin from previous visitors, and a dirty hand towel. They did take care of it right away, always very prompt with responses. The only real complaint is when I checked in, I asked about breakfast and the receptionist said it's 30 euros. I decided to buy breakfast out since that was a bit pricey for me, however I did buy it the 2nd to last day. When I checked out, I discovered the breakfast was already included in my room payment - that I should have eaten every day. Very confusing communication and all the final checkout receptionist could say was he wasn't the one who checked me in. I was there 5 nights so it would be have nice to have a credit or even to have been told at checkin to use the breakfast since it was included in my reservation.

Jättefint hotell med väldigt god frukost. Personalen i receptionen var besvärade när vi kom (vi var ett större sällskap) och när vi checkade ut fick vi inte ens en fråga om hur vistelsen varit. Om de hade frågat hade jag berättat att elementet stod på max värme och fönstret gick inte att öppna, fjärrkontrollen till tvn fungerade inte och det låg dammråttor på mattan.

Väldigt lyhört hotell, dunkande från nattklubb hördes hela natten. Ljud utifrån vägen hördes också väldigt tydligt in i rummet. För övrigt ett mysigt hotell.

Meget lille værelse til en relativt høj pris - det er en ting. Men en meget støjende ventilator, der ikke kan slukkes og derfor forstyrrer nattesøvn, det er ikke godt nok.

Stort och härligt rum, bra frukost!

we stayed for 6 nights. great location. very clean. nice staff. great breakfast! only down side is we went in mid july and the rooms would get really hot during the day and there’s no AC. we made due and kept the blinds closed during the day and opened the windows at night. other than that it was a great stay!

Room was tiny and roof was so low I needed to bend to get to toilet! Tried to change but they did not provide any flexibility (used the opportunity to try to ask extra, while the room was already as expensive as all my previous stays with much better rooms) - they did not care I had been a loyal happy customer and made the effort of booking with them instead of closer to the meeting location. I suppose I won’t be one-sidedly loyal if there is no reciprocity.

Fint hotell, vänlig personal och bra frukost. Dock fick vi ett rum på 6:e våningen med ett fönster lika litet som en vinylskiva. Dålig luft i rummet och wifi räckte inte dit vilket gjorde att vi inte kunde casta till tvn. Levde inte upp till pris eller förväntning tyvärr.

Beautiful hotel in general, and the rooms felt very luxurious and had a lot of character. Lots of counter space in the bathroom with large well-lit mirrors, very comfortable bedding with down duvets/ pillows, and a lot of natural light (plus a great view). Staff was incredibly nice, and the breakfast was divine - from the presentation of the food to the quality of the food. Certainly the best croissants I have tasted. Location is prime, and a very busy but picturesque part of town.

Restaurang väldigt bra men små trånga rum

The room was a good size as was the bathroom with a walk-in shower and L'Occitane toiletries. Nice to have a safe, fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. Unfortunately the window couldn't be opened and it was filthy. I'm not sure there really was air conditioning as we could not get the temperature down to a comfortable level.The breakfast was a disappointment; the selection of bread,fruit and yogurt was poor. There was no toaster. There seemed to be no provision for diabetics. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful and a credit to the hotel.

Fläkten i rum 607 var högljudd men var tvungen att vara på pga värmen i rummet. Annars alldeles för varmt för att sova i.

Personalen i restaurangen är toppen! De unga killarna i receptionen hälsar aldrig när man går förbi tyvärr.

Älskar hotellet, men har bott där minst 10 gånger och ingen gång har någon sagt välkommen tillbaka. Tråkigt. Blir inte någon personlig känsla eller service av stamgäster

Tråkigt bemötande i receptionen. Ny personal som inte verkade intrimmade på gästservice. Har bott ett flertal gånger på hotellet och då blivit jättetrevligt bemött.

I complaint regarding our treatment at check-in on February 27th at around 5:00 PM (Room 505). My partner and I booked the hotel for our wedding event in Stockholm, and this stay was very special to us. The reservation was under my name. During check-in, I unfortunately experienced very unprofessional and disrespectful treatment from the young man at the reception. I spoke Swedish and asked to check in. From the beginning, I did not feel welcome. The receptionist avoided eye contact with me and instead directed himself to my partner, even though the booking was in my name. When he was trying to spell my name, he had difficulty doing so. I was prepared to show my ID. He said something that I could not hear clearly, while at the same time his body language – with his hand on the computer screen – indicated that I should look at how he was spelling my name. Since I could not hear him properly, I stepped closer to the reception desk to see the screen more clearly. I did not go behind the desk. At that moment, he suddenly raised his voice at me in a very rude tone and said: “You cannot do that! You cannot look at the screen!” My partner and I were shocked by his reaction. My partner does not speak Swedish and did not understand what was happening, and I myself could not understand why he reacted so strongly. I tried to explain that I believed he wanted me to check the spelling of my name, and that it was my own booking information. Instead of calmly explaining the situation

My check-in story was the worst ever check-in to a hotel forget stockholm. There was this guy Philip at check-in counter the rudest person I have ever seen. Imagine someone landing in Stockholm just to face rudeness at checkin-How will it ruin your rest of trip. At first he said to swipe card, then only I will

Favorithotell i Stockholm, Ja, jag har bott på alla high end hotel i Sthlm. Frukosten och personalen i frukosten är fantastisk. Enda negativa är personalen i receptionen som skulle behöva en charmkurs. Rummen håller mycket hög kvalité och stil!

Frukosten är toppen. Dessvärre är några i den nya personalen i receptionen en nedgradering då de har dålig attityd.

The location was great! I was disappointed that I didn’t get any VIP perks especially since I was staying 8 nights. The same thing happened to my friend. Wish they accommodated us more being that we had a long stay. Felt some of the staff was unable to help much since they were unsure when we asked some questions. We also let them know ahead of time that we were arriving on an early flight and gave them a heads up that we would show up earlier and asked if there was any possibility for an earlier check in. It seemed we were an inconvenience for arriving earlier and after kindly asking, my friend got an earlier check in but I had to wait until the later afternoon. Just wish there was more consideration for two people who booked rooms for such a long stay and spent a good amount of money there.

Jättefina rum och sängen var jätteskön, DOCK blev sömnen noll! Bo på våning 3 emot Birger Jarlsgatan en Lördagkväll är inte att rekommendera. Hör all fest ifrån Stureplan, människor, bilar, städmaskiner. Grymt hotell men ta INTE rum emot gatan en helg om du vill sova.

Gutes Frühstück, nettes Personal, zentral gelegen. Zimmer zur Straße vielleicht etwas zu laut.

Trevlig frukost, fin miljö och perfekt läge!

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet, Frühstück sehr gut, das Personal nett und zuvorkommend, es werden sogar Regenschirme zur Verfügung gestellt. Man sollte aber wissen, dass es aufgrund der zentralen Lage an einer großen Straße umgeben von Nachtclubs, bis in die frühen Morgenstunden zu erheblichem Lärm kommt, dem auch geschlossene Fenster und die vom Hotel zur Verfügung gestellten Ohrstöpsel nicht Herr werden können.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Hotellet och rummen är verkligen vackra. Det ligger mitt i stan med nära till allt men tyvärr på en trafikerad kroggata vilket gör att det är högljutt på kvällar och nätter, om man har en rum mot gatan. Hotellet hade vinnit på att investera i mer ljudisolerade fönster. I övrigt var personalen trevig och frukosten väldigt god.

The breakfast at the Sparrow Hotel was fantastic! We also took full advantage of the lounge in the evenings, stopping almost every night for some snacks and drinks after dinner.

Le petit déjeuner était très bien ainsi que le bar. Nous avons apprécié la variété offerte ainsi que la qualité du buffet du petit déjeuner. Cependant, pour des séjours moyens ou longs il serait bien de prévoir des choses différentes afin de ne pas avoir les mêmes options tous les jours. Nous avons aimé le bar également r et t nous avons apprécié les amuses bouches offerts.

Limited breakfast - only egg option was boiled and they did not want to make omelette or regular eggs. Only black coffee and bad gluten free bread/pastry option. For this kind of hotel I would expect more.. great bed linnens though - the only highlight

Fantastiskt! Jag är en återkommande kund och gillar verkligen Sparrow. Trevlig personal, tidig incheckning när det är möjligt utan extra kostnad är en sådär detalj som gör att jag gärna väljer Sparrow. Rummen är bra, det är renligt, sängarna är sköna och frukosten...frukosten – den är helt suverän! Det är den bästa hotellfrukosten jag vet, där det inte är trängsel. Allt är vällagat, med omsorg och utbudet av veganska alternativ är rikt och inte lite halvhjärtat undanstoppat i något hörn, som på så många andra ställen. Extra stor guldstjärna där! Det enda som hindrar full pott är att ni använder dun från fåglar i era täcken och kuddar. Det gör mig mycket besviken och känns inte särskilt 2026. Om ni kommer med argumentet att det är från redan döda fåglar så hjälper det mig ej. Jag sover inte gott när jag vet vart dessa fjädrar kommer ifrån och jag hoppas innerligt att ni kan överväga att fasa ut dessa täcken och kuddar. Det känns inte etiskt försvarbart att fortsätta med ett sådant koncept, särskilt inte nu när det finns så många alternativ. Sängarna är sköna ändå och det finns så många bra alternativ idag, så vad är egentligen anledningen att fortsätta med dun från fåglar i era täcken och kuddar?

Great hotel and location. But the best part is the breakfast. It’s not the ordinary egg & bacon. Try it! Mathias Dahlgren has made an impact!!

Frukosten var riktigt bra. Hög kvalité, fräscht. Allt var gott, äggen var som utlovades perfekta. Plus för varm mjölk till kaffet.
