We have stayed here before and we know it is a lovely place. You always receive a warm welcome, the rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. Perry, the owner, has thought of everything, there is even a microwave and some plates and cutlery in case you bring a takeaway back. The breakfasts are delicious and served in a lovely breakfast room overlooking the courtyard. It’s well worth staying at Gonalston Boutique B&B.

A very warm welcome by the owner. Lovely accomodation with good facilities. A really attentive helpful host. A very nice breakfast. I would definitely stay there again and recommend you do too if in the area.

Our stay was excellent and would certainly look to stay again. The facilities were very clean and their presentation really good. The breakfast was well presented and the host very pleasant.There is only one point where in pour opinion and improvement could be made and that is to filter drinking water as it tasted highly chlorinated.

The room we were in, with the wet room, was perfect for my husbands accessibility needs. I feel like a lot of thought has gone into the design of this boutique B&B and if I needed to be in the area again this would be the top of the list. The owner was friendly and helpful when we arrived.

Extremely clean and comfortable room. Wonderful bedding and towels etc.The owner was most helpful and friendly and there to greet us on arrival. Good free car parking in front of the property. The B and B was perfect for us as we were attending a family wedding being held nearby. Lovely walks possible from the hotel. The only reason I deducted one star was because I think that the courtyard would have been nicer planted with natural grass and plants rather than artificial astro turf. A garden or room with a view of the countryside from the hotel would be nice for guests spending more time in the hotel.

We had a love welcome upon arrival and shown to our room which was off a very nice courtyard. The room was nicely furnished with very comfortable beds. Cooked breakfast was served at the time we requested. We would recommend this b&b and would stay again if back in the area.

I loved this stay. The Farmhouse and courtyard are beautiful. The rooms were modern clean and comfortable. Breakfast was on the table when I arrived at the breakfast area. Perfect What's not to like.

It was great & Perry was really kind & attentive. The breakfast was ace. Very clean room & big bed! The only criticism I have is the big shower didn’t work in the room so we used the smaller one.

Fantastic host, amazing breakfast cooked fresh to order, a huge comfortable bed, crisp cotton sheets, choice of pillows including 2 large, luxurious feather pillows each, fresh clean towels, bottled water, microwave, snacks, we really couldn't have wished for more, though I am sure if we had needed anything else if we'd asked, we'd have got it!. Perry is friendly and outgoing with a great sense of humour and gave us suggestions of places to visit.

Stayed one night for Southwell races, hotel ideally situated between Nottingham and Southwell Racecourse. When booking into a new hotel, b & b, the most important thing is the welcome you get. Perry the owner was very friendly and made me and my partner very welcome. The room was very nice and clean with a large shower room. Breakfast was very good and there is a good public house ( Magna Carta) 15 mins walk away if you fancy a drink your a meal.

This is a beautiful little B&B that has been developed with a great deal of thought and care. We wanted for nothing - the bed was SO comfy, the towels fluffy, toiletries were supplied in the bathroom, and there were even complimentary snacks. Our host, Paul, was absolutely charming and we really enjoyed chatting with him over the gorgeous full English breakfast that he cooked for us the next morning. It was a pleasure staying here and we look forward to the next time.

was a lovely and comfortable stay. Breakfast was lovely. Check out was far too early, and others i shared breakfast with stated the same. We had to leave by 9:30, which other hotels are usually 11am. I wasn't aware of this til checking in.

Having made the owners aware I had covid and was very unwell, my daughter was coming to stay instead before graduation the next day. She made a 3 hour journey, road closures and diversions meant she was going to arrive after the 9pm ‘deadline’ despite keeping contact at 9.40 and arriving at 9.50 they would not let her in. The owners needed their sleep. Very inflexible and quite rude in the way we were spoken to.

A warm welcome, a comfortable and well equipped room and a great breakfast. I stayed here for the location because I was visiting Southwell racecourse. There is a good pub just down the road for an evening meal as well.

We really enjoyed our stay; everything was as we hoped. The bus into Nottingham stopped close by and had a frequent service and we would recommend dining at the Woodlark at Lambley.

Perry and her husband are fantastic hosts. Would rate this a 6 star. Beds are great. Breakfast fantastic and walking distance to restaurants. Thank you Perry

Really nice place to stay in a really relaxing, beautiful area. The accommodation ticks all the boxes to the highest level and the breakfast "perfect". Great Host made for a perfect stay.

Stayed one night for Southwell races, hotel ideally situated between Nottingham and Southwell Racecourse. When booking into a new hotel, b & b, the most important thing is the welcome you get. Perry the owner was very friendly and made me and my partner very welcome. The room was very nice and clean with a large shower room. Breakfast was very good and there is a good public house ( Magna Carta) 15 mins walk away if you fancy a drink your a meal.

A warm welcome, a comfortable and well equipped room and a great breakfast. I stayed here for the location because I was visiting Southwell racecourse. There is a good pub just down the road for an evening meal as well.

This is a beautiful little B&B that has been developed with a great deal of thought and care. We wanted for nothing - the bed was SO comfy, the towels fluffy, toiletries were supplied in the bathroom, and there were even complimentary snacks. Our host, Paul, was absolutely charming and we really enjoyed chatting with him over the gorgeous full English breakfast that he cooked for us the next morning. It was a pleasure staying here and we look forward to the next time.

Fantastic host, amazing breakfast cooked fresh to order, a huge comfortable bed, crisp cotton sheets, choice of pillows including 2 large, luxurious feather pillows each, fresh clean towels, bottled water, microwave, snacks, we really couldn't have wished for more, though I am sure if we had needed anything else if we'd asked, we'd have got it!. Perry is friendly and outgoing with a great sense of humour and gave us suggestions of places to visit.

Room was nice, bed and bedding exceptional. Breakfast was lovely. Owner was helpful and friendly. However, listing said shower or bath but when a room with a bath was requested, was told all rooms had only showers. Shower went cold in middle of use! Iron supplied in room was dirty and required cleaning (cleaning materials supplied by owner - which begs question why it hadn't been cleaned beforehand). Use of description "boutique" is sales pitch only, it was not exceptional which boutique term would imply.

We found this gem of a place to stay and we are already looking forward to staying there on our next visit. The checking we quick, efficient and easy. The room clean, cosy and welcoming. The breakfast outstanding. Definitely would recommend

Perry was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful along with her husband Paul. We had a cooked breakfast which was lovely, but we were also offered cereal in addition. Orange juice was served at the table along with our choice of a hot drink and we were given the option of white or brown toast or a combination of both. Will definitely return. Thank you Perry for a lovely stay.
