The hottub wasn’t working and the pool was not hot i read that it was a heated pool

the property needs updating, pool was cold, bad WIFI, room are dated. limited staff on site. there were piles of wood etc on the property. the second floor balcony had an unfinished plywood floor

Playground definitely needs to be more secure and updated, (more options). brooms and paper towel could be at great use for each room. Pool hours should be earlier morning.

Okay I’m going to start with the positives- this is in a great location! Very close to all the water parks, amusement parks, restaurants: basically everything you want to be close to! The pool seemed to be brand new so we really enjoyed that. That’s honestly where it ends. The exterior of the rooms are very outdated paint chipping. The room inside definitely requires some updates. It’s very outdated, tv doesn’t get many channels, the curtains were broken in our room so a lot of sun came through, the light in the bathroom wasn’t working, some interior updates like lighting, furniture, bedding, etc could definitely help with this establishment! The worst part was that we saw several earwigs when we were showering or using the bathroom. The playground area was also extremely outdated. Lots of pieces missing, wobbly and just in poor condition. The staff were great and friendly. Overall, great location but some major updates would help!

The rooms were clean but the area around the property was kept up very good. We also checked in and had no idea the pool wasn't open as it wasn't posted on Expedia when we booked and that was one of the most important things for us when booking because we have 3 small kids who love to swim. The BBQ area was a nice bonus but the bbq we were using (only one there) had a broken handle so it was a bit tricky. It was the perfect location though right near everything we were there to do and so we would stay again. They always say you get what you pay for!

Nice, pool was well used by families.

Loved the location, however the pool closes at 8 pm does not open till 11 am. With checkout at 10 there is no way to get in a morning swim.

It appears there are new-ish owners who are really trying to bring this property to life. Although most of the property is “old” it was very very clean and they had lots of workers renovating. There was also a new pool. And there is no longer a hot tub. My children loved the play area. I’ll be excited to see this place in another year or two. Also loved that our accommodation was like a little two bedroom apartment. So convenient!

It was okay for the price, they had a pool which people were using. The room was clean and comfortable.

The location was great for attending CBMF and the staff were extremely friendly, answering questions and providing any necessary extra items (towels, etc). Pool area was receiving some nice upgrades.

This property was a mess. I would not let my dog stay there but we were stuck because we prepaid and he would not refund us or the many other people. Some who could aford to just leave and not worry did. One couple arrived and pulled back the bedcovering to find bugs living in the bed. The floor in our room was very dirty. The towels were all stained and no washcloths provided. Ther was a bad odor in the room. There were a number of plugs in one outlet and the microwave being one of them didn't work. When we called for assistance he came and played with the plug causing it to spark. When i informed him it was a fire hazard he laughed at me and walked out. And this goes on. We arrived at our room last night after 8pm to find the door wide open. Apparently left open be the person providing more stained towels. When i called on this he said he didn't think his staff would do that. Just a very bad experience all round that ruined our short stay on PEI. I REALLY WANT A REFUND AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO TO GET IT.

Musty smell, need to upgrade bedding

The room was extremely dated with mildew/mould in the bathroom. There were several earwigs in the room.

The staff are very friendly and come each night to see if we needed more towels etc. The room was very clean. The property is very outdated and in need of paint and repair outside. Staying in Cavendish it's close to everything. A Tim Horton's and Petro Canada are next door which was nice.

Place was so old and needs improvements. There were bugs in our room. No staff was available at check out, quality was so low for the price we paid.

The location is connivence to various famous spots within 5 mins drive at Cavendish and save much transportation time. Staff is helpful and friendly at the front desk. Hygiene is subject to improvement as we found a cockroach in the closet and the bed sheet is a bit stinky.

upon arrival we could not unlock the door as the knob was too loose, an employee noticed us and came to our aid . he had to fix the door knob. After we got it opened it was very stale and musty smelling in the unit. we took our bag in ,opened all the windows that we could , the bathroom one was stuck , we left to join our family . We returned at bedtime . we turned on the ac unit that too loud for us to sleep. Getting read for bed we discovered the flush was very loose at the floor . when i got up at 2 am the bathroom floor was covered in water .and a cockroach was on the floor in main room area . I killed it and went back to bed . I reported this to main desk in the morning before we left for the day. Upon returning for the night on day 2 there was yet another cockroach running around the main room . and upon investigation one in the stick trap under the bed. had i another place to sleep I would have left at this point. the flush was still loose . when i got up at 2am to use washroom the floor was wet a big puddle that I had to use towels to soak up. The towels smelled clean but were vey stained, the pillows were so thin you needed 2 to make1 . checking out the gal at the desk listened to my issues but was not shocked or did not even offer an apology so i think she has heard it all before so i asked for a manager . i called this person and got about the same attitude as at desk. Do not chose this place ,my rating will be 3/10. It was a bed and roof nothing more.

Huge beatles and earwigs. Room was extremely damp and musty. So was the bedding. They sprayed with some deodorizing spray that choked us. The glasses were dirty like they'd been wiped with a dirty towel. Room hadn't been dusted in awhile.They emptied our garbage on the second day, but didn't sweep up the bug corpses. The WiFi was pitiful. Only able to connect once and then it was gone. The whole outside with broke down. Paint was peeling. Stairs were rickety and dangerous. The grounds were not cleaned up. Beer caps and cigarette butts stayed there. The pool deck was slivery wood and warped and loose at one end. I would not recommend this dump to anyone. Very disappointing. Spend a little more and stay somewhere nice. This was my family's first little vacation in 3 years.

The best thing about the Anne Shirley motel is it's location. It is very close to all of the Anne of Green Gables properties to visit. The hotel itself is run down, and needs to be fixed up and updated. Our room had some spiders and bugs on the floor. They don't offer any ice, and the cups in the rooms are a variety of glass glasses that I wasn't sure had been washed thoroughly. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Too many bugs, hair in the sheets as well upon arrival and they called and postponed our check in until 2 hrs later but did not compensate for anything.

Way overpriced and needs a good update, it’s a great location and could have wonderful potential. Beds are comfortable but you will find yourself not wanting to spend time in your room . We stayed on the 2nd floor of the motel maybe there is better rooms ?

The wi-fi was not reliable at all. It would disconnect with no warning or apparent reason. We never saw our host and the room was very, very cold. The bathroom door scraped in the floor when we opened it and there was very little room. However, it was right around the corner from Green Gables so that was convenient.

We liked the location, the room size was great. We were very disapointed the pool was not ready. Also didnt like they were knocking at our door 9 30 on the morning we were checking out wanting to clean our room . We were still getting our stuff ready. Àll and all it was a good trip.

The house keeping never made beds or swept floors once for us and we were there for 4 days. We had to ask for more towels. We had poor intermittent wifi in our room.

The staff were very friendly & helpful! They went up and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and stress free. The location was very convenient for everything that you would need. Rooms were very basic but clean. The only downfall was that there was not much counter space for preparing lunches or anything. Only the bathroom sink area or the small round table.

Showed up at 6 and room was not ready.

A little dated, as all are in that area, but clean. Easy parking and near everything. Love the fact that somebody called me to let me know about checking in when I didn't arrive before the office closed, much appreciated!

There was no staff when we got there but they called and told us how to get in to our room. Had no issues with this. Bed was very comfortable. The building was old but place was clean

An honest review. I’ve been to PEI many times and stayed in a lot of but this one has to be infested with rats/mice. I didn’t even get to check in before we saw 3. One while I was checking in. Manager “Gavin” would not refund so we could find another place to sleep comfortably. He asked us for proof lol. There were 6 of us for 3 rooms. I seen 1 while checking in at the front desk the others seen 2 scurrying around the steps/deck. I asked the neighbour's over at the gas station next store, said it’s an ongoing issue. Called public health, they said it’s NOT been the first compliant. Waiting on a return call from Tourism PEI to report it. I just don’t think it’s fair for these people to be taking peoples hard earned money and sticking it to them. We wasted 5 hours of our vacation time dealing with this with no help from the motel. Http://www.Hotels.com would not refund because when they called the motel the manager said we did not have proof! What?!? did he want us to catch them?!? We ended up paying elsewhere so it cost us double plus extra for last minute booking. It’s a hard lesson for us but we will take reviews more seriously from now on. So be for-warned and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Please share so others will know what this place is all about, bottom line is that they don’t care about your comfort or this issue would have been addressed a long time ago…the only concern they have is taking your $.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were big and spacious. Outdoor pool was nice and clean.

No food. All I need for the night

Beds clean and comfortable. Furniture and bath updated. Coffee pot but no coffee. Curtain rod not secure therefore curtains didn’t close property. Good location to drive for sightseeing. Nice pool out side building needs work

Right across the street from L.M. Montgomery’s grave. The motel is very old with some updates. The water taps are backwards. No breakfast. The pictures on the website are well done however the place looks a lot older and rundown in person.

No food options are available at the motel but lots of restaurants around the vicinity. Beds were ok. No coffee available in the room either. Internet access was good. Place needs a lot of work repairs to be done. This is our second time staying here and the conditions have gotten worse! Cost me almost $1000 for three nights and will definitely not be returning!

No hot tub working! No one in office after 8 pm Community shuts down at 8 pm!!
