There are miles of safe and dog friendly off-road walking just a few minutes from the cottage, where you can let your dog run free. Plus, there is a guide to local and safe dog walks provided, which there are many within walking and short driving distance. Rothbury has a good selection of bars, cafés and a few shops, and for those who are more active, there are river walks and lovely walks up the Simonside Hills. The location of Rothbury is ideal for those wishing to explore in all directions, being only 12 miles from Alnwick, where the infamous castle lies that was used in the Harry Potter films, and only a few miles from the glorious Heritage Coast.
