A lovely B&B, very elegant, nicely decorated with antique furniture. Well positioned for bars and restaurants and 10min walk into old town and its various attractions. Breakfast was good with an ample selection of cereals, fruit, cake, biscuits, ham and cheese, there was also an option of toast and eggs if required. Parking was located a 5 min walk away in a shared garage. Our room faced onto the road which was pedestrianised over the weekend, unfortunately it became rather noisy during the evening into the early hours.

It was such a privilege to stay in such an historic home! SO many antiques! I have a bad knee, so the stairs were a little difficult, but we really enjoyed our elegant room on the top floor. The bathroom was new and sparkling clean! It was lovely to have breakfast in a formal dining room. We were not thrilled with how far we had to walk to park the car, but we found a wonderful restaurant on the way back and had a great dinner and yummy drinks at Le Bonnet d'Ane.

Wonderful property with an abundance of Victoria furniture and artwork! The beds were comfortable and the room cozy. Location is right on Rue Saint Jean which leads right down into D'Youville neighborhood. Phillipe was a wonderful host making us breakfast each morning and helping us with parking our car. There is a private garage with several spaces just for the B&B about 5 minutes walk away.

Un tuffo nel passato: tutto è arredato in stile antico e curato nel minimo dettaglio. Colazione buona, con uova fatte al momento. Possibilità di usufruire gratuitamente di parcheggio in garage a 10 min a piedi dalla struttura. Posizione strategica fuori dal centro, che e comunque comodamente raggiungibile a piedi. Peccato solo per il letto (divano letto) piuttosto piccolo e scomodo e per il rumore dell'aria condizionata, che non è comandabile dalla stanza.

The accommodation was spacious, clean, and full of character. The check-in process was straight forward, and we were given a key to a parking garage where we could safely keep the hire car during our stay. The car park is about a 7 minute walk away. The breakfast was great, and the host was very attentive. The accommodation was so quiet and relaxing. Thank you for our stay!

The Facility was very unique and beautiful. The history, art and furniture was nice and felt historic. Climbing the 3 stories of stairs was a lot especially with luggage. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast was very good with homemade items. It was a good experience.

This was the perfect location for us to see so many parts of Old Quebec. The host Philippe was so kind. The room was impeccably clean and so spacious. I would definitely recommend staying here. If you can’t handle stairs, this may not be a good fit, but otherwise it’s lovely.

Our room and the lobby was very clean and beautifully decorated. The host and breakfast chef were nice and welcoming. The free parking garage is only a few blocks away and the chateau is in walking distance to the old city along the street with all the shops and restaurants. We stayed in the library room and had an overall incredible experience.

Very unique property that could be so much more than it is. Bathroom was not clean, shower curtain looked as though it hadn’t been washed in some time(build up of soap scum) no grab bars anywhere near large claw foot tub to use to get in and out of. Lots of curly hairs on floor that were not ours. Breakfast was eggs and toast with the option of dry cereals and fruit, for a bed and breakfast I expected more. The best parts were the covered free parking, location and building uniqueness.

Zentrale Lage und auf den ersten Blick sehr schönes, stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Leider aber sehr nachlässig was die Sauberkeit angeht: Die Bettdecke war voller alter Flecken, im Bad viele Haare und alles war nur mittelmäßig geputzt. Auch war es recht laut im Zimmer. Der Service war ebenfalls durchwachsen. Insgesamt leider keine Empfehlung.

It's in an excellent location, and the main building is beautiful, with a lovely central courtyard and fountain. The suite we had out back was adequate and spacious, but not in very good condition: it smelled dank and of cigarettes, the fridge was sticky with old abandoned food and also smelled quite bad, the sheets did not fit the bed, and the inner bedroom doorknob came off while I was inside, so I would have been trapped if there hadn't also been a balcony door. I still couldn't get into the rest of the apartment, though (my keys were in the living room), so I phoned the front desk. At first the innkeeper said I'd have to wait until the breakfast service was over, but he did come with a spare set of keys when he realized I couldn't get into the rest of the apartment. He said he'd fix the bedroom doorknob later that day, but still hadn't by the time I checked out.

Toute petite chambre, salle de bain attenante, chambre située au dernier étage. La chambre ne correspondait pas du tout aux photos sur le site, plancher flottant de mauvaise qualité et tapis défraîchi. Il y avait des poils et cheveux sur le parquet de la salle de bain. Une chance que le lit était confortable, le petit déjeuner complet et le service impeccable.

Amazing Victorian decor, beautifully decorated inside. Appreciated the close proximity to Old Town Quebec - around a 15 minute walk. We were on the 3rd floor which was a luggage challenge - luckily the nice young man that fixed our breakfasts carried them up to our rooms and back down the day we left (most appreciative). The host that greeted us (not the owner) was not helpful and didn't seem to want to converse at all (maybe his English - understanding & speaking wasn't good, not sure). The young man that fixed our breakfast was personable, pleasant and the breakfast was great and filling! We were there on a Fri/Sat nights the end of Sept and the noise from the partying in the streets was quite loud - more sound proofing needed. Would have been interested in and appreciated information on the history of the home posted in the rooms and information on the period decor. Having said all of that, it is a place not to be missed and we would stay there again - just not on weekend nights.

Fantastic historic mansion, ornately decorated in period furniture and furnishings. Like stepping back into the Gilded Age. That alone would make the stay remarkable. The room was comfortable and spacious, with in room coffee and fridge in addition to the provided breakfast. 3 fights of stairs so pack accordingly. Parking was 5 blocks away but safe and secure.

Prachtig verblijf met uitstekende service. Parkeren is in een garage op 5-10 min lopen van de locatie. De auto staat dus wel veilig en daar gaat het om. Een heel klein puntje: als je langer bent dan 1.85 m is het bed te kort. Maar ook dat is iets dat je buiten noord-europa vaker tegenkomt.

Perfekt location and the ambience of the building is wonderful! But do avoid the Romantic room on the top floor - unless you like blows to your head from banging into the ceiling time and again, even in the bathroom. You can effectively use less than half the floor area of the room due the ceiling height. The room has a small window and is quite dark. Wonderful breakfast served in one of the historical rooms.
Perfekt location and the ambience of the building is wonderful! Our stay was great! The hosts were wonderful and it was such a unique accommodation. There were only a couple of issues which were more frustrations to manage more than anything. Be warned, there are a lot of stairs to navigate, no elevator. If you have heavy luggage or not able to do stairs, please consider this. Also, the ceilings in our room (Romantic Room) made much of the space unusable. They were sloped and we were constantly bumping our heads.

Having said all of that, it is a place not to be missed and we would stay there again - just not on weekend nights.

Amazing room and building to stay in and so convenient to Old Quebec. Philippe is a gracious host and provided a wonderful breakfast each morning. Having somewhere to park our car within a short walk was a bonus. Highly recommend.

Belle expérience…bien situé, très tranquille, belle décoration, stationnement intérieur inclus à proximité sauf que malheureusement ’hôte manquait de proactivité, nous avions peur de le déranger….

Les + : bien situé pour visiter Québec. Le jeune homme qui servait le matin était très aimable et faisait de son mieux. Les - : La climatisation n’est pas réglable individuellement, nous n’avons pratiquement pas dormi pendant les trois nuits car le bruit était insupportable et la température trop basse, j’ai contacté le responsable la première soirée et il m’a répondu que c’était normal et qu’il allait dormir donc pas la peine de le rappeler!!! La soit disant télé (minuscule) ressemblait à une tablette..! L’accueil à l’arrivée et au départ n’était pas du tout à la hauteur !!! Le rapport qualité prix est médiocre !!!

Very picturesque property which was very historic. Good breakfast with helpful staff. Be aware that steep stairs if you have heavy luggage. We found the host extremely helpful even driving us to port when taxi failed to turn up which 2 hours of his time. He then refused to take any money from us and told us to treat ourselves on the ship

We were fortunate to have the king bedroom which was so much larger than expected. We were pleasantly surprised with the grandeur and beauty of the home. It is truly a unique experience. Just be sure to check in before 9pm, otherwise you will not be allowed to stay that evening.

After a long and weary train ride, we arrived at the property at approximately 9:15 pm. Unbeknownst to us, the doors to the property were locked with a sign that indicated guests would not be welcomed after 8:00 pm. No one answered our phone calls or the doorbell. We made other arrangements at a different location. Obviously, I cannot comment on the condition of the property.

Absolutely fantastic. It is a little gem and pictures don’t do it justice. Phillip the owner was lovely and very helpful . I would highly recommend staying here and is also close to bars, restaurants etc. Thank you for a most beautiful experience

A lovely B&B, very elegant, nicely decorated with antique furniture. Well positioned for bars and restaurants and 10min walk into old town and its various attractions. Breakfast was good with an ample selection of cereals, fruit, cake, biscuits, ham and cheese, there was also an option of toast and eggs if required. Parking was located a 5 min walk away in a shared garage. Our room faced onto the road which was pedestrianised over the weekend, unfortunately it became rather noisy during the evening into the early hours.

Andre and Phillipe were fantastic hosts. The hotel is such a gem and the breakfasts were lovely! French press coffee everyday was an amazing way to start our day. The location on Rue St-Jean was perfect. Close to everything while very quiet as well. Thank you! Merci! We look forward to returning!

It was such a privilege to stay in such an historic home! SO many antiques! I have a bad knee, so the stairs were a little difficult, but we really enjoyed our elegant room on the top floor. The bathroom was new and sparkling clean! It was lovely to have breakfast in a formal dining room. We were not thrilled with how far we had to walk to park the car, but we found a wonderful restaurant on the way back and had a great dinner and yummy drinks at Le Bonnet d'Ane.

We stayed 5 nights and it was wonderful. Located on Rue St. Jean and about a 10-15 minute walk outside of the Saint Jean Gate and the Old Town, the location is superb. The experience is like staying in a castle - it’s beautiful! So many wonderful restaurants, pubs and shops. Grocery store, wine shop, everything you need right there. In the St Jean Baptiste area and walkable to St. Roch and Montcalm neighbourhoods. Philippe, our host couldn’t have been more helpful and charming. Close to everything you want to do and see, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. A true experience in a beautiful city. Would definitely recommend m.

Free garage parking (best for smaller vehicles) and a delicious made-to-order breakfast each morning were one of the many perks. Easiest way to communicate was via email to confirm arrival instructions. The decor is stunning and you can easily spend hours exploring every corner and ceiling discovering new decor and art. Location was ideal for walking, only 15 minute walk from Old Quebec City. Would absolutely return.

I booked what Expedia called the "exclusive apartment" at this advertised bed and breakfast, through Expedia, in which numerous reviews were glowing for the breakfast. The apartment (1 bedroom, living area, efficiency kitchen and bathroom) was accessed through a small parking garage in the rear of the property (drive around the corner) and our minivan was a very tight fit. We did walk everywhere, and the location was good for this.There are 13 fairly steep metal steps down (no problem for us, but no good for anyone mobility disabled), followed by another 5 wooden steps up. There is a nice garden with fountains in the courtyard. The water sound was not enough to drown out the very loud partying at the dive bar next door to the property, with loud yelling right up to 0200 am for the 3 nights we spent there. The owner told me the next morning breakfast is not included for the apartment. I stated there was no information on Expedia excluding breakfast, and offered to buy breakfast. He refused, stating no. I was very disappointed we were unable to avail ourselves of the main reason I booked a B&B- the convenience of breakfast on site. We incurred additional unexpected expense going out to find breakfast. I did not understand why, for the sake of customer satisfaction, we could not get the breakfast advertised when I booked, even by paying. This is poor customer service.

Amazing staff, great character of the accommodation and very convenient area. Just beware of parking situation - not ideal, pay attention to the instructions as parking garage is a tiny bit further away from the Chateau. The breakfast was absolutely sufficient and everyone so accommodating. We definitely want to come back !

We stayed here for a weekend at the Winter Carnaval in February 2023. We were pleasantly surprised by the stay, including all of the history this property has. It has been very well restored and taken care of, and the hosts were very accommodating. The included breakfast was delicious and everything was fresh. Had some issues finding the (free) enclosed parking location provided, especially due to the snow storm. Kept the vehicle parked for the duration of the trip and walked or used transportation services (Uber). I would highly recommend staying here, and will be back.
