First off, this place is VERY charming. I love how they have it decorated as well. The few things I wanted to bring to people's attention is that if you park until the tree (walnut I believe) in the parking area, when they drop, they WILL dent your vehicle. So if you have a rental car, I'd advise you to park strategically. Word to the wise....I understand this is nature and the tree is beautiful! Just understand you may get dents from the nuts if you park under it and it's something to be aware of. Also, the room I stayed in (Lyon Room) was VERY cold at night. Of course, this is an older home, so that is expected from the windows. Pack your fuzzy PJ's! The staff when I did interact with them were very kind. However the sheets in my room did have some hair on them, not sure from what or who, but I shouldn't have to be brushing hair off of sheets that isn't mine. Other than those few things, it is very conveniently located downtown and there are many great food places to visit close by.

Although there was a mix up with the door codes it was soon sorted out. What a great place to stay, parking right outside, the whole property was spotless, beds were comfortable and the self service breakfast was a great start to the day. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

This property is beautiful and unique. It was clean and comfortable. The only weird thing to us was we never met or talked to a staff member. It’s an Inn which oozes hospitality with no one to greet you, check you in or show you the place. We wandered into the kitchen that had some staples type things for breakfast but certainly not a breakfast bar. We weren’t sure which part of the kitchen or things in it we could use. Hotel was full but we never saw a person- guest or staff. Expedia’s platform of messaging didn’t work, so we didn’t even know how to get in to the building. Finally a lady talked to us over Ring camera.

We didn’t care for the “no staff” property. Trains all night with horns very loud. Floors very loud so other guests movement also very loud. Well maintained pretty old home. Just not for us. It had B & B vibes with zero staff. Also they don’t really have breakfast.
