Hampton Inn Camden

Rooms had a foul smell to them and smelled a lot like the pool which was closed. There was a sign on the door into the pool that it was ordered to be closed, and it looked like it hadn't been maintained for a bit now. The rooms smelled moldy / smelled of mildew and may be related to the pool issues. We requested to try another room to see if the smell was there as well and were told it would be and all the rooms smelled the same due to the humidity. Hotel said they were fully booked so no other rooms were available either way (understandable). We'd prepaid before we went, but they still ran my card to charge me the nightly rate upon check-in, which I didn't realize until after the fact that they weren't running my card for simple incidentals. Had the $50 incidental hold plus an additional $162.62 nightly fee which was already prepaid. Manager came out and said the extra charge would be all set and 1-3 business days I'd see it on my end that it was canceled/refunded which was fine. Then on our second day I had a 2nd $50 incidental hold and 2nd $162.62 nightly fee, which again had all been prepaid a month prior. Upon checkout I had another $81.81 fee charged which I have no idea what that was supposed to be for, but at this point I just hope all the extra charges are canceled / refunded. I requested a statement/receipt of the refund which they were unable to provide, but I have a sheet showing a $0 balance. We will never stay here again.

Pool wasn’t working. Ev charger wasn’t working. Ac in one room wasn’t working we had to change rooms ice machine on third floor wasn’t working

Great stay - clean, great little gym, breakfast was fine. Very pleased.
