We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment. Staff excellent, rooms smart, clean and comfortable. However really bad nights sleep. So advsie for all. Don't take a room that is immediately next door to the gym as we heard music and the treadmills going throughout the night.

I moved to The Capital Melrose after four nights in a more uoscale hotel, and I was very pleased by The Capital Melrose's value for the price. Looks like a really well run hotel, as the facilities were immaculate, the room had useful basic amenities, and best of all, the staff were wonderfully warm. I would stay here again!

The food is bad and on the web it says 5 mins drive to Sandton city which is not true. Ceiling is dirty.

Very conveniently located reasonable rates clean rooms

It was clean and neat. The room was big but sparse. Service was friendly and the food was nice. TV was limited and for R1700 a night I would have expected more. There was nothing exceptional that made it different from a less expensive option.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room and the hotel are clean. The bed was comfortable. We had a nice stay.

We hardly slept due to parties Rooms next door until 3 in the morning! Nobody from the staff dared to stop the noses, because, according to the front desk it was… « friday »!! What is the point?

It was clean and neat. The room was big but sparse. Service was friendly and the food was nice. TV was limited and for R1700 a night I would have expected more. There was nothing exceptional that made it different from a less expensive option.

Só não recomendo o café da manhã do próprio hotel porque a qualidade e variedade dos produtos não corresponde ao preço cobrado que é bem alto

great friendly helpful staff

The place is amazing and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I think they have the best staff I’ve seen so far.

I booked two rooms at the Capital Hotel in Melrose for a business trip. Upon arrival, we were informed that there was no record of our booking, despite us having a confirmation for that same day. After presenting the confirmation, we were told that the booking had actually been made at the Capital Hotel in Sandton. We again showed our confirmation clearly stating Melrose. After some time, the manager came to assist the front desk. Only then were we informed that a group booking had extended their stay, and as a result, our reservation had been moved to the Sandton property without any prior notification. In over 30 years of business travel, I have never experienced anything like this. The lack of communication, poor handling of the situation, and overall unprofessional approach suggest that management is not adequately overseeing basic hospitality standards. To make matters worse, no refund, complimentary meal, or even a simple gesture of goodwill was offered to compensate for the inconvenience caused. A very disappointing and unacceptable experience.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful except arranging airport shuttles. Twice they were ordered ahead of time and twice they never showed up and our entire group of 16 had to scramble for an alternative. We probably will not use this property again because of this issue and that there is an expense to use an airport shuttle if it does show up.

Everything was excellent. The only thing I would comment on is that the restaurant was a bit too expensive. Paul's in the Melrose Arch which is one of the most upmarket restaurants in the area was cheaper.

Otimo atendimento e hospedagem, somente ficou a deseja no café da manhã que não estava incluso e era caro realizar a inclusão. Preferimos tomar café na rua.
