Front desk lady very crabby. No ice. Grumbled when we asked for more towels. Hotel lay out is weird. I believe rooms use to face what was a pool now all the AC's vented to this common area it was 103 making it hot. They've put in a dart board and pool table which you have to pay for. No coffee or water. Vending machine has a note on in saying it except $5 bills but wouldn't take $1's and doesnt give change. The toilet in the room didn't flush by itself and hot water in the shower took for ever to get warm. Basically a hot mess except for the price.......

I was excited about the excellent Hotels.com rating. From the second we arrived, I was disappointed and am still not sure how they got that rating. We just barely made it there during the office hours, pulling in around 10pm local time. It was very inconvenient for the front desk person that we were there, but she was polite and got us checked in and explained how to find our rooms. The property was EXTREMELY dated and worn. The pictures make it look like a nice motel. The reviews sounded warm and welcoming and clean. In reality it was likely a very nice hotel in 1986 but has not been maintained since then. It had been cleaned but not professionally cleaned (edges and corners not vacuumed, found a random key card in the bedding, mold on the wall, etc). Maybe we caught the staff on a bad evening, I only with one staff person and it was late at night, so likely other reviews about friendly and helpful staff are accurate. If you are looking for a no-questions-asked, pay-with-cash if you want, super cheap place to stay for the night and you are not concerned with security (exterior doors did not lock, or even close completely) - this is for you. If you are looking for something that meets or exceeds Travelodge/Motel 6/Super 8 standards, this is not for you. The rooms were big, and the fridge and microwave added convenience, but I plan to try other hotels in the area before going back. They provide for a need. I'm reviewing so others are not surprised and disappointed as I was.

Dead insects everywhere in the room, dirty sheets, dirty fridge, black specks in the sheets (which is a sign of bedbugs, though I only saw dead insects on the floor). One of the doors kitty-corner to me had been busted open and wasn't sealed off or fixed. Left to find another place to stay for the night.

No ice, no coffee. Our room seemed cleaner than most of the property.

I liked that it was quick and painless to reserve, and the owners were residents, and friendly. The room was clean. Some of the common areas are apparently being renovated. They're fun spaces with lots of potential. I wish them well and hope they prosper.
