Inn is clean and convenient to the location I was visiting. Early check in was very helpful as I did not return until late evening. Parking is plentiful and well lit. As a person traveling alone, I felt safe. After my initial check in, I never saw another employee during my stay.

Nice view of the water from every room. Every room has its own balcony. They were in the process of renovating the rooms. We had newly renovated rooms and they were very nice. Looked like they would be done shortly with renovations.

Room ok. Property grounds very nice. Bathroom door in room 101 would not close. Needs to be shaved or adjusted. Mattress only fair. Screen door to balcony did not open/close easily.

Cod Cove is a quaint and quintessential New England style property. With its blue cedar shake siding and white painted balconies, you can easily recognize the nautical theme even before you enter the property. There is a secret side garden with a gazebo and seating that is beautifully landscaped. When you check in you are greeted by friendly and helpful front desk staff . They will hand you an actual key on a brass key ring. The rooms are comfortable and clean. My only critical reviews are that there is no elevator and you have to climb the stairs to get to the second floor. All rooms are exterior facing, and there is a step up into the room even on the first floor so this property is not ADA compliant . And being so close to Highway 1, the traffic noise is noticeable. However, with the fan going, our sleep was not disturbed by the noise. The property is well-kept yet dated in it’s decor. For us that was not an issue because it reminded us of the 80’s and 90’s , a bygone era of which we are quite fond. Our room faced the Highway so we had a view of the water from the balcony. The continental breakfast offers giant fresh delicious muffins and coffee, water and juice and a variety of typical breakfast foods. We would certainly stay here again.

Quaint little hotel with a nice pool area and flower garden to sit in. Breakfast was a nice array of items from: making your own waffles, cereal, biscuits and sausage and gravy. Muffins, fruits and yogurt. Stay were very friendly.

Property is very clean and front desk staff member is very courteous. The complimentary continental breakfast had a good selection. It is not walkable to anything, but a short drive into boothbay harbor with shops & restaurants. Only negative is that the nightly rate was expensive.

Good location, kind of in the center between Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor, and Damariscotta. It makes for an easy drive to all three (plus the beautiful surrounding coastal areas). The hotel isn't super fancy, but it's very nice and clean and decently updated, with big rooms, microwave/fridge, a good pool, and a surprisingly good selection of (included) breakfast items. Staff were courteous. We had a great experience staying here!

When we first got there it was a pleasant check in.We got to our room and the coffee pot was dirty with coffee grounds still in it. The tub had a dirty towel in it. Told the desk clerk about the coffee pot and then we went out. When we came back it was still in our room. Brought it downstairs and got another clean coffee maker. Next day we went out. Came back and there were no fresh towels, dirty towels were not picked up, no garbage emptied and bed not made. My wife went back to the desk clerk and he said we had to ask for housekeeping and it was in their policy. The policy we signed didn't have anything to do with housekeeping. As of today, 06/10/2023 it is not under policies on their website. My wife asked for towels and he gave her 1 set for the both of us. I had to go back and get another. It wasn't worth the money for what we got.

Have stayed here before, nice and clean and convenient to my needs. No daily housekeeping so had to go to the lobby for supplies when we needed them, ie, coffee for the room. This is probably seasonal due to it being winter

Our stay was good. The bed was comfortable and the rest of the room was clean. One thing that was really unpleasant was a strong urine/mildew smell in the bathroom. I don’t think I would stay there again, unfortunately.

My only rating less than excellent was related to service. I stayed 2 nights and there was no visit tot the room by housekeeping during my stay. Not sure if this was an oversight or they only clean rooms when the stay is completed, I don't know. While this was not a major issue for me, it may be for others, or during longer stays.

My wife and I were very impressed with this well maintained property. Our room was very clean and had plenty of space. All the equipment was working well and we had a great view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a great variety of fresh, tasty options for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this motel and I intend to stay there again whenever I am travelling in the area.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay and found the motel clean, quiet and conveniently located. Our room was comfortable but relatively unremarkable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was standard continental fare. The only negative is that the carpet in our room was obviously dirty in a few places, but to be fair, the Inn seems to be undergoing renovation. We have previously stayed at quaint B&Bs in the Boothbay area with ocan views, afternoon teas and pastries, and beautiful breakfast and would most likely try to return to these, but if unavailable, Cod Cove Inn would be a good choice.

While this is a lovely place with beautiful decor in a good-sized room with a cool sofa, we were quite disappointed that we had no hot water for the duration of our stay. We were told upon check-in that the problem existed and that they were working on it, but it was never resolved. I asked at check-out if there was to be any compensation for the inconvenience, and I was told a manager would call me. It's been 10 days, and I have heard nothing.

We’ll be back to this Inn, but it had its pros and cons. The location is excellent, situated conveniently between Wiscasset and Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor. We were offered a choice between first- and second-floor rooms and chose the second floor for the view, which did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the room was freezing when we arrived, as the heat hadn’t been turned on in advance. The bathroom’s towel rack was barely secured to the wall, which wasn’t a big issue but made the room feel less polished. On the positive side, the bed was incredibly comfortable—I had one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a while. The continental breakfast left much to be desired. An hour after opening, the bread was picked through, fruit was scarce, and the options—hard-boiled eggs, sausage gravy, and waffles—didn’t pair well. Perhaps off-season staffing played a role. We decided to have breakfast in Wiscasset instead, which was a great choice. Overall, this Inn served its purpose as a comfortable, convenient place to stay. With better room preparation, small maintenance fixes, and improvements to the breakfast experience, it could be even better.

I've stayed here several times. Lovely accommodations and the sunset view was picturesque. The only downside to the room was the heating unit. While it didn't bother me, it was an older unit that made more noise than my friend expected.

Modern motel with driveup access (doors lead to the outside). Our second floor room had a balcony with a water view in the distance. Staff was friendly and pointed out local restaurants. Breakfast was decent with the usual cereal/bread options, boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh muffins and wafflemaker. Bed had a firmer mattress than I usually prefer, but was comfortable. Desk had outlets and wifi was strong. Entire room was super clean. Would stay again!

Very clean and spacious. Each room has a private deck or balcony, and there are good climate control options. We would give this 5 stars and stay here again if it weren't for the uncomfortable pillows and synthetic bed linens. The pillows are very thick and too firm, and we were sweating as we froze because of the synthetic blanket. It's an easy fix for a hotel with very pretty grounds and an excellent location.
Very clean and spacious. Each room has a private deck or balcony, and there are good climate control options. We would give this 5 stars and stay here again if it weren't for the uncomfortable pillows and synthetic bed linens. The pillows are very thick and too firm, and we were sweating as we froze because of the synthetic blanket. It's an easy fix for a hotel with very pretty grounds and an excellent location.

Inn is clean and convenient to the location I was visiting. Early check in was very helpful as I did not return until late evening. Parking is plentiful and well lit. As a person traveling alone, I felt safe. After my initial check in, I never saw another employee during my stay.

I am so shocked that there are positive reviews for this property. It was messy with boxes and furniture everywhere. There was no one at the desk during check in or check out. On top of that, one of the employees attempted to enter our room before checkout while we were still inside, no knocking or anything!

While this is a lovely place with beautiful decor in a good-sized room with a cool sofa, we were quite disappointed that we had no hot water for the duration of our stay. We were told upon check-in that the problem existed and that they were working on it, but it was never resolved. I asked at check-out if there was to be any compensation for the inconvenience, and I was told a manager would call me. It's been 10 days, and I have heard nothing.

We showed up for our reservation at 830 at night after a long drive and they turned us away saying their system messed up eventhough expedia has us ans they see expedia has us and eventhough expedia spoke with them several days prior on my behalf...they oversold the hotel. Said oh we can have you drive another 30 mins to a less popular and less appealing place in a direction that wasnt even close. They wanted to keep our $ and send us to a hotel worth about $150 a night less. They were not accompdating. And they acted like "oh well". Place looked grimey as well. So we will definitely never book there or any offiliated hotels again.

Good location, kind of in the center between Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor, and Damariscotta. It makes for an easy drive to all three (plus the beautiful surrounding coastal areas). The hotel isn't super fancy, but it's very nice and clean and decently updated, with big rooms, microwave/fridge, a good pool, and a surprisingly good selection of (included) breakfast items. Staff were courteous. We had a great experience staying here!

Staff was good and accomodating. Room was clean. Rooms are dated and breakfast was not great except for the coffee. Bathroom towel rack had been removed and holes not covered up. OK for the price compared to how expensive the region has become.

Stayed here for a wedding. Didn’t know the area and grabbed rooms based on the brides recommendation. It was convenient, clean and affordable. The location is good in that you are about 5-15 min from multiple towns. The kids loved the free breakfast buffet.

All in all pretty good. Pool was closed early in the evening. Checked us in early paperwork wise so we could come back after 3. That was a plus. Continental breakfast was weak. Only protein was hard boiled eggs. There was sausage and gravy in a warmer, mostly gravy, but very little in the warmer that was cold in the center and I was the first one in for breakfast. Minimum of various carb options. Tiles in bathroom and entry are cracked. Beautiful view off the patio! Nice bed and very comfortable curved couch. Otherwise they get a 4****

My wife and I were very impressed with this well maintained property. Our room was very clean and had plenty of space. All the equipment was working well and we had a great view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a great variety of fresh, tasty options for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this motel and I intend to stay there again whenever I am travelling in the area.

We loved staying here when we came to see the nearby holiday lights. The room was warm, spacious and comfortable. Special mention must be made of the delicious continental breakfast with offerings that included homemade muffins and cookies hot from the oven. We didn’t want to be in a busy center of a town, so this was a perfect location for us, providing easy access to multiple nearby locations.

En la habitacion las patas de las camas estan salidas hacia afuera y mi esposo se pegó y se rompió el dedo del pie, Tuvimos que ir al hospital con la emergencia y el Manager del hotel solo nos dió la direccion del hospital. No nos ofreció ningún apoyo de ningun tipo, ni económico, nigun seguro de accidente médico, ningun servicio de emergencia, ningún reembolso por la habitación, nada. Teníamos dos habitaciones rentadas para ese fin de semana. Muy mal servicio en ese aspecto.

Room was comfortable and clean but could use new carpeting. Bed comfortable and room is very quiet. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, something I’d expect at a lower level hotel, the very basic of choices. I’m gluten and dairy free and I don’t expect hotels to cater to these needs but lots of people have these restrictions. With the exception of boiled eggs and Cheerios, all other items were dairy or flour products. A meat option would be helpful rather than sausage and gravy.

The room and bath were immaculate. Nice hot water. Amenities were in good shape. Property is not new, and the doors were a bit stubborn about closing. The breakfast crowd was pleasant, friendly, and family oriented. Breakfast offerings were very satisfactory. We had a very nice stay.

Clean basic hotel that included bagel, waffle and few items for breakfast. Showing its age in a few areas, including some exterior wood rot. I just needed a place to lay my head on a trip, arriving after 10. Used ring camera to get access to lockbox - easy to do.
