A fun way for the family to experience the jungle, surrounded by nature. The tree house was clean and equipped with everything you need and more. The property is filled with wildlife. There are walking trails to experience the animals and birds as well as a guided night hike. The staff were excellent and friendly. Highly recommend!

A little off the beaten path, but that was what we were looking for for our last 2 nights in Costa Rica. The free night hike is a must do. The hike down to the river is a bit long and steep, but the views were lovely, and we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious, and included great conversation with the owner Rae and her assistant Yeandra. We had a wonderful time!

Highly recommend staying here, Raye has created a beautiful place that is peaceful and feels like a little paradise. It was cool to hear the howler monkeys and wake up to an adorable sloth sleeping in a tree by our deck. There were many beautiful birds, we especially loved the Toucans. The staff were warm and inviting, breakfast was delicious, not to mention waking up to a thermos of coffee on the deck in the morning. There’s a hike to a waterfall and river you can swim in as well as a guided night walk. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

We loved our stay at the Tree House Hotel and would have loved to stay longer. The Tree House is wonderful and has everything you need. The coffee in the morning is such a great treat. The property is beautiful and walkable and you see a lot of wildlife right there. We loved everything about it!! The best stay in all of Costa Rica for us. The night walks were great and educational too and I was so happy to be able to do it multiple nights and see different things each night.

This is a magical stay and we can’t say enough about how much we loved being at the Monkey Tree house. We walked down to the river and went for a swim, saw howler monkeys, strawberry poison dart frogs, and had a relaxing afternoon. Alondra and the team served us amazing breakfasts in the morning and took time to chat. Rae gave us good advice on what to do with one of our kids being sick. We took her advice and got some medicine from the pharmacy. We had a pizza delivery right to our treehouse. Coffee was delivered every morning at 6am in a thermos and food was put out for the birds. It was so relaxing having a coffee before going down for breakfast. We loved the night walk with Silar and he made it an intriguing experience. He is funny and we never knew what he was going to find next to show us. There was a sloth that we could see from the deck of the tree house. We loved the jungle sounds. I highly recommend staying at the treehouses hotel. The hospitality was 10 out of 10.

This place was a great find and a unique experience. The bed was comfortable, and coffee on the balcony in the morning was delightful. The friendliness of the staff, delicious food, beautiful setting, guided night walk, and lots of animals made this a great four-night stay. Yes, there is a bit of traffic noise, and it's a bit of a drive to the hub of most activities, but these tradeoffs were worth it, and we would definitely stay there again.

What a unique experience! Staying in a tree house in the jungle! Jane never had it this good. Coffee was delivered each morning to enjoy on your deck while listening to the birds and enjoying the surroundings. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff were wonderfully friendly. The night walk was so much fun and we even saw a red eyed tree frog and a sloth. Can’t wait to return.

Most unique place we've been! Loved hearing all the birds, frogs, monkeys in the trees surrounding us. The homemade morning breakfast with the group was such a special touch, I miss it now that we are home! The treehouse itself was clean, simple, wi fi free and had all we need (mini fridge, safe, clean towels). We slept like babies, and the front staff were always more than accomadating for help with ordering food, rides, suggestions about the area and just generally nice and helpful! We already told our travel friends to go check this place out! Kids will love it too, esp the night hikes!! The dogs that live there are also so sweet!!

Schöne Anlage mit verschiedenen Baumhäusern in einem großen, eigenen Areal, in dem man toll spazieren gehen kann und mit Glück auch Tiere (Faultiere, Affen, Frösche, Vögel) sehen kann. Unbedingt die angebotene Nachtwanderung mitmachen. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück super, täglich wechselnde Varianten, liebevoll zubereitet. Einziger Minuspunkt: das FROG-Baumhaus kann ich nicht empfehlen. Es liegt zu nahe an einer stark befahrenen Straße, an der LKWs vorbeidonnern und Motorräder vorbeiknattern. Sollte in der Beschreibung als Warnung erwähnt werden. Hätten wir es vorher gewusst, hätten wir es nicht gebucht. Nimmt das Urlaubsfeeling in der Natur.

Beautiful setting, outstanding staff. Definitely rustic, The Frog tree house is nice, very small bathroom. Bring your ear plugs for sleeping, it’s close to a loud main road.

We enjoyed our stay here the staff so were very helpful with recommendations and booking trips and able to accommodate a vegan breakfast for us. We found front tree house a little cramped I think it is one of the smaller apartments. Its also close to the road so you here a lot of traffic which takes away from the rainforest feel.

Very special place. Magical to be up in the tree house. So nice to have air conditioning! Friendly staff. Felipe was a big help planning our activities. A little far from Arenal activities for us but worth it to experience the tree houses!

We loved our stay at The Treehouses Hotel. It was very comfortable. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It felt like they were genuinely happy to share their spaces with us and that we were there. The breakfast was delicious. We all loved it and were grateful to watch the birds. The coffee delivered to our room was a wonderful treat and it was extra special to have the staff put fruit up near the treehouse to attract the birds in the morning . We stayed at the Frog treehouse and there is a significant amount of road noise at that one (they mention this in the description so we were prepared for it). We had a sound machine going and earplugs were still useful due to the large trucks passing on the road frequently. The night hike that is included is wonderful!! The resort staff was helpful to us for assisting with activity planning. I wish we had planned some activities like the Tico experience (an activity to make food with a local family) in advance. We waited until we got there and a lot was already booked. The tours with Juan Carlos looked awesome as well. We did end up taking their suggestion and doing the chocolate tour with their recommendation which was awesome! The Tree Houses Hotel is about 35-45 minutes from La Fortuna and about an hour from things like the hanging bridges and the Arenal volcano. The roads to and from it were well maintained.

We absolutely loved this treehouse. So peaceful and beautiful. However the beds are uncomfortable and about a 40 minute drive to la fortuna. Great service overall. Just change the beds and you’ll be 5 stars.

Booked the tree house as a special treat and it was wonderful. The Sloth House, which we had booked was a little close to the road, but we were offered a larger tree house with a hammock (my partner loves hammocks!) for the rest of our stay which was perfect. The whole area is teeming with wildlife and a couple of trails through the forest and down to the river. The service was friendly and breakast good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we were even visited by a couple of toucans on our balcony on the last day.

A fun way for the family to experience the jungle, surrounded by nature. The tree house was clean and equipped with everything you need and more. The property is filled with wildlife. There are walking trails to experience the animals and birds as well as a guided night hike. The staff were excellent and friendly. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the tree houses! We were there with our 8 and 11 year old daughters and had a great time. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with scheduling activities. Our kids loved the unique experience of sleeping in the treehouses! The coffee delivery was awesome and breakfasts were fantastic. We'd highly recommend this property!

Very special place. Magical to be up in the tree house. So nice to have air conditioning! Friendly staff. Felipe was a big help planning our activities. A little far from Arenal activities for us but worth it to experience the tree houses!

This place was absolutely amazing! We stayed at the Frog house for three nights, two adults and two teens. The staff was super helpful both, before and during the trip. They kindly answered a ton of questions as I was preparing for the trip, helped book activities, organized transport from airport. Breakfast was wonderful - a different, delicious meal every morning, with fresh fruits and juices. Tea or coffee delivered to your cabin every morning is a very nice touch. Staff is very kind and attentive. There are really nice trails on the property, we saw sloths, monkeys and many beautiful birds. There are a couple of rescued dogs that live at the property, they are super sweet, greet guests, play with kids, even go on hikes with guests. I would also recommend activities offered through the Tree Houses. We did an all-day adventure with Juan Carlos and learned so much about Costs Rica’s animals and plants, saw a lot of wildlife and just had an amazing experience. He is very knowledgeable and patient, allowed us to go at our own pace and enjoy the things we wanted to do the most. I would also highly recommend visiting Proyecto Asis for both, sloth tour and/or wildlife tour. We did both. These people are doing wonderful work supporting wildlife. Very informative and engaging at the same time. We loved absolutely everything about this place, they exceeded all of our expectations. This is a magical stay and we can’t say enough about how much we loved being at the Monkey Tree house. We walked down to the river and went for a swim, saw howler monkeys, strawberry poison dart frogs, and had a relaxing afternoon. Alondra and the team served us amazing breakfasts in the morning and took time to chat. Rae gave us good advice on what to do with one of our kids being sick. We took her advice and got some medicine from the pharmacy. We had a pizza delivery right to our treehouse. Coffee was delivered every morning at 6am in a thermos and food was put out for the birds. It was so relaxing having a coffee before going down for breakfast. We loved the night walk with Silar and he made it an intriguing experience. He is funny and we never knew what he was going to find next to show us. There was a sloth that we could see from the deck of the tree house. We loved the jungle sounds. I highly recommend staying at the treehouses hotel. The hospitality was 10 out of 10.

Most unique place we've been! Loved hearing all the birds, frogs, monkeys in the trees surrounding us. The homemade morning breakfast with the group was such a special touch, I miss it now that we are home! The treehouse itself was clean, simple, wi fi free and had all we need (mini fridge, safe, clean towels). We slept like babies, and the front staff were always more than accomadating for help with ordering food, rides, suggestions about the area and just generally nice and helpful! We already told our travel friends to go check this place out! Kids will love it too, esp the night hikes!! The dogs that live there are also so sweet!!

This was such a unique experience. We loved the Night Hike in the rain, a must do. And the staff for breakfast is just amazing. One morning my son had a belly ache and the staff really took care of him with a healing massage and tea , he quickly felt better. And the tree houses are just great. Book now.

The owner, Rae, was just absolutely fabulous. Gave us great advice and even loaned us money to buy pizza when we didn’t have cash with us. A very unique and outdoor experience. Would highly recommend!!

Schöne Anlage mit verschiedenen Baumhäusern in einem großen, eigenen Areal, in dem man toll spazieren gehen kann und mit Glück auch Tiere (Faultiere, Affen, Frösche, Vögel) sehen kann. Unbedingt die angebotene Nachtwanderung mitmachen. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück super, täglich wechselnde Varianten, liebevoll zubereitet. Einziger Minuspunkt: das FROG-Baumhaus kann ich nicht empfehlen. Es liegt zu nahe an einer stark befahrenen Straße, an der LKWs vorbeidonnern und Motorräder vorbeiknattern. Sollte in der Beschreibung als Warnung erwähnt werden. Hätten wir es vorher gewusst, hätten wir es nicht gebucht. Nimmt das Urlaubsfeeling in der Natur.

A little off the beaten path, but that was what we were looking for for our last 2 nights in Costa Rica. The free night hike is a must do. The hike down to the river is a bit long and steep, but the views were lovely, and we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious, and included great conversation with the owner Rae and her assistant Yeandra. We had a wonderful time!

Beautiful setting, outstanding staff. Definitely rustic, The Frog tree house is nice, very small bathroom. Bring your ear plugs for sleeping, it’s close to a loud main road.

Highly recommend staying here, Raye has created a beautiful place that is peaceful and feels like a little paradise. It was cool to hear the howler monkeys and wake up to an adorable sloth sleeping in a tree by our deck. There were many beautiful birds, we especially loved the Toucans. The staff were warm and inviting, breakfast was delicious, not to mention waking up to a thermos of coffee on the deck in the morning. There’s a hike to a waterfall and river you can swim in as well as a guided night walk. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

We loved our stay at The Treehouses Hotel. It was very comfortable. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It felt like they were genuinely happy to share their spaces with us and that we were there. The breakfast was delicious. We all loved it and were grateful to watch the birds. The coffee delivered to our room was a wonderful treat and it was extra special to have the staff put fruit up near the treehouse to attract the birds in the morning . We stayed at the Frog treehouse and there is a significant amount of road noise at that one (they mention this in the description so we were prepared for it). We had a sound machine going and earplugs were still useful due to the large trucks passing on the road frequently. The night hike that is included is wonderful!! The resort staff was helpful to us for assisting with activity planning. I wish we had planned some activities like the Tico experience (an activity to make food with a local family) in advance. We waited until we got there and a lot was already booked. The tours with Juan Carlos looked awesome as well. We did end up taking their suggestion and doing the chocolate tour with their recommendation which was awesome! The Tree Houses Hotel is about 35-45 minutes from La Fortuna and about an hour from things like the hanging bridges and the Arenal volcano. The roads to and from it were well maintained.

This place was a great find and a unique experience. The bed was comfortable, and coffee on the balcony in the morning was delightful. The friendliness of the staff, delicious food, beautiful setting, guided night walk, and lots of animals made this a great four-night stay. Yes, there is a bit of traffic noise, and it's a bit of a drive to the hub of most activities, but these tradeoffs were worth it, and we would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely loved this treehouse. So peaceful and beautiful. However the beds are uncomfortable and about a 40 minute drive to la fortuna. Great service overall. Just change the beds and you’ll be 5 stars.

Booked the tree house as a special treat and it was wonderful. The Sloth House, which we had booked was a little close to the road, but we were offered a larger tree house with a hammock (my partner loves hammocks!) for the rest of our stay which was perfect. The whole area is teeming with wildlife and a couple of trails through the forest and down to the river. The service was friendly and breakast good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we were even visited by a couple of toucans on our balcony on the last day.

We enjoyed our stay here the staff so were very helpful with recommendations and booking trips and able to accommodate a vegan breakfast for us. We found front tree house a little cramped I think it is one of the smaller apartments. Its also close to the road so you here a lot of traffic which takes away from the rainforest feel.

We had the best experience at the Treehouses Hotel. We stayed in the frog treehouse. It was perfect for our family of 4. The staff was very warm and welcoming. They felt like family ;) The night hike was so much fun, too. Our guide was awesome and made it really informative. It rained on us but the rain actually made it more exciting and adventurous! The breakfast every morning was delicious and the coffee waiting for us outside of our treehouse every morning was such a plus! We loved our stay at the treehouses. Its definitely a must visit while in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
We had the best experience at the Treehouses Hotel. We stayed in the frog treehouse. It was perfect for our family of 4. The staff was very warm and welcoming. They felt like family ;) The night hike was so much fun, too. Our guide was awesome and made it really informative. It rained on us but the rain actually made it more exciting and adventurous! This place was a great find and a unique experience. The bed was comfortable, and coffee on the balcony in the morning was delightful. The friendliness of the staff, delicious food, beautiful setting, guided night walk, and lots of animals made this a great four-night stay. Yes, there is a bit of traffic noise, and it's a bit of a drive to the hub of most activities, but these tradeoffs were worth it, and we would definitely stay there again.

What a unique experience! Staying in a tree house in the jungle! Jane never had it this good. Coffee was delivered each morning to enjoy on your deck while listening to the birds and enjoying the surroundings. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff were wonderfully friendly. The night walk was so much fun and we even saw a red eyed tree frog and a sloth. Can’t wait to return.

Tree Houses was an amazing stay in Costa Rica. The staff was exceptional and will work with your schedule for anything you need. Alandra was truly a standout, she’s great. The breakfast that’s served is always amazing with the freshest fruit. The coffee that is brought to your balcony every morning is wonderful as well. The property is amazing with many different species of plants, birds and animals. The tours that are recommended are absolutely worth it and above all, the tours with Juan Carlos. He is very knowledgeable of the Costa Rican jungle and exactly how all plants and animals coexist to maintain the jungle health. We learned so much from him. After his tours, I can personally say that I am much more in tune with what’s around me and how to see and hear what’s very near you that you would normally just walk by. Highly recommend this great stay.

The tree houses are set on a beautiful property. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We particularly enjoyed the coffee in the mornings from our balcony and the night walks.

Quintessential Costa Rica. The staff are phenomenal! The property is rustic and feels like summer camp in the best way. Lots to do in the area with La Fortuna a quick drive away.

Beautiful setting and unique experience. The Toucan is very small and the ladder towards the top difficult to climb. Not for very young kids or kids afraid of heights like one of my daughters. The breakfast is freshly made and good although fairly basic (egg combination different every day with fresh fruits, single menu option). Wi-fi is unsteady but great at times. A/C cools the room downstairs quickly - it was hot but tolerable in the upper room. The walk to the river is great. The night tour was good but the guide was not a professionnal, rather a local person so not that knowledgeable about wildlife. The staff helps you get food delivered but the food we ordered was not great and the hustle to get it not ideal; that was the biggest disadvantage of the location in my opinion. Bring your snacks and drinks before you go! Also the tour with Juan Carlos are amazing and I highly recommend them to visit the area. A great rustic place overall!
