The rooms and hotel were very clean. Easy to navigate and hotel was very communicative through email. The reception is off site so you will not have a love staff but we had zero problems. Parking for the hotel/in the hotel is around a few spaces (10 or so) and if there’s no parking, you can park right alongside the hotel. Great breakfast in the AM and beer and games at night in the lobby/food area.

Easy check in, delicious and expansive breakfast though when we left at 6:45 am they wouldn’t allow us anything from breakfast that was being setup for 7 am. You must arrive before check-in time to assure a parking spot underground. Not much in the area for amenities. Mostly suburban and light industrial. Inside was quite lovely. Two soups ate available at 5:30 pm though the mushroom soup tasted fabulous but incredibly rich and salty for sensitive tummies.

Self check-in was super easy. Breakfast spread is good. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel, as well as super close grocery stores. Parked in the hotel garage 2 of the 3 nights and easily found street parking on the night the garage was full. No complaints and I would highly recommend.

This hotel is excellent! Staff is wonderful and room was very clean. Breakfast buffet was great. The one thing I did not like was the tight space for parking. It is garage parking underground. Thankfully my husband is an excellent driver but if you have a bigger vehicle, it might be an impossible fit for you.

Easy to get in and out with the 1 code that they provide you. The breakfast is very good and housekeeping comes every other day or as needed. Street parking is fine, safe. Lower level basement parking is tight and congested and I wouldn’t depend on it. It’s a bit of a walk to downtown area.

Séjour de 2 nuits. Comme à l’hôtel mais sans réception, self check-in. Chambres confortables et très propres, au calme. Petit déjeuner compris sous forme de buffet, beaucoup de choix, réapprovisionné régulièrement jusqu’à la fin, produits très bons. Bien situé par rapport au centre ville (45 min à pied, 15min en voiture). Attention cependant au parking qui est limité à 16 places. Premier arrivé, premier servis. Possibilité de se stationner la nuit dans les rues alentours. Pour la journée il faut se rapprocher du centre pour se stationner gratuitement sans gêner les commerces ou résidences alentours

Property was nice enough for a few days. Staff was helpful when you could find them. Cons for me. 1)twin blankets on queen bed 2)room was too warm even with heat turned off and little window open 3) they do not clean the room only replace towels and straighten bed. Sheet was definitely not changed

O hotel está a cerca de 3km do centro, com acesso fácil às paradas de ônibus e mercado. Não possui recepção e é necessário utilizar código para acessar o hotel e o quarto. Esse ponto é um pouco ruim quando você chega ou sai em horários da madrugada e não tem ninguém para auxiliar em situações como, por exemplo, pedir um táxi. O café da manhã é incluso e muito bem servido, por funcionários super atenciosos. A limpeza nos quartos deixa um pouco a desejar, já que teve um dia em que não foi feita e no outro não tomaram o cuidado de esvaziar os lixos.

Hotel was always clean and tidy. Parking was very limited which was slightly annoying if you come back late in the evening. Breakfast options very limited but for the price and location of the hotel it was acceptable.

The hotel was easily accessible and the staff were always friendly. Checking in was very straightforward and you could always get in with your room code. You never had to think about a key. The choice of food was good as was the breakfast. The only thing that left something to be desired was the room cleaning. In the 15 days we stayed at the hotel, our room was only cleaned three times.

Would be nice if the rooms had coffee instead of having to go downstairs from 7-10am during breakfast hours. Also the rooms are a bit noisy and that's a problem during the summer since the only way to cool down the room is to open a window because the rooms were a bit too warm.

The room was great and clean. The complementary breakfast is the best continental breakfast we experienced. Every morning was a feast. We were a 15 min bus ride away from downtown. Bus routes were very easy to learn. Travelled everywhere with the bus system. Grocery store around the corner to stock up. They provide a fridge in room. There is no kettle or coffee machine in rooms. Coffee is available at reception. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again

Hotel room was clean, but a little cramped. Breakfast was a great spread and lots of seating. Location was pretty far outside of downtown Reykjavik, so wasn't the most convenient to most of the sites and not many places easy to walk to for food close by.

Check in was a underwhelming. Did not have code for entry and room number. Phone was available to contact someone to obtain info. Was told i should have recieved info via email, but didnt because i booked 3rd party. Onsite staff not always avaliable or helpful. Great breakfast and bus to city center was accross the street!

We had an 0600 arrival time at the airport. Generally Oddsson does not open the baggage room until 10:00 for check in but we were accommodated earlier. Polin was WONDERFUL and helped us with the code, so long as we did not try to get a morning breakfast...no problem.

I loved the staff. Magdelena, Patricia and Daniellia were so helpful, warm and welcoming. They helped me with any issues that arose and made me feel welcome and safe. As a solo female traveler, this is very important and I felt very safe and taken care of. The breakfasts were wonderful with delicious fresh food and I loved the lamb soup and bread for dinner. The cleaning staff made sure my room was very clean and I had a really nice view from my room. The location is great for a hub if you’re doing a lot of driving as the highways are very close. Not the greatest walking or sightseeing area though. I will stay again.

We stayed here for a week with our children, ages 7 and 9, while visiting Iceland. We had a great experience here! The breakfast bar is absolutely delicious. We really liked the room and the convenience of the area. Although the underground parking is limited, we always found a spot and never had to park on the street. There is no front desk, but we had zero issues with our code to the building and room. There is also soup, lamb and vegetarian, available in the evening with adult beverages for purchase. You have to request housekeeping; we didn’t use it our whole week stay and were fine. We would definitely stay here again.

First time I stayed at a no-reception hotel. I liked that my room was close to the elevator and right next to the common fridge/cooler. The blonde younger girl at the restaurant who was by herself during breakfast rudely yelled at me “NO!” when I approached the breakfast area thinking it wasn’t 7 AM yet (it was 7:02 on my watch). When she realized she was wrong she laughed to herself but didn’t apologize. Appreciate the no-fee hotel parking.

Excellent location. Mini markets nearby as well as local eateries. Breakfast was good and plentiful to get your day started. Room was clean and spacious. Although, the rooms get rather hot, you can prop open the windows. I highly recommend it.

Basic comfortable hotel, a good 1 hour’s walk from Reykjavik centre (old town) on a noisy junction adjacent to an out-of-town shopping area. Good bus connections into town and BSI bus station. With no reception, the hotel has a somewhat impersonal feel to it. Our bed linen was not changed during our 5-night stay; towels only once. The continental breakfast was reasonably good: plenty of it but limited variation. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

ODDSSON Hotel is the place to stay in Reykjavík. Check in/out was effortless. Easy pick up and drop off for tour activities. Included breakfast was more than ample with lots of choices. Bus stop nearest the hotel is Gresas - #2, 14 and 15. Grocery is across the street, 5 minutes walk. The staff are always willing to answer questions and assist. Definitely will recommend this hotel to family and friends. Absolutely stay here again.

Oddsson Midtown is a fine choice for a mid-range stay. Wi-fi is strong, the rooms are comfortable and quiet and the breakfast is enjoyable. While it's not downtown, it's next to a bus stop and just a few minutes drive (4km) from downtown. There's a few grocery stores and actually good restaurants (Kabab Sara, KB, etc). You can place your bags in. the luggage room on the day you arrive before check in which is nice because you cannot enter your room until exactly 3PM. The parking is free, but I noticed the space can get limited, but we were always able to park. Definitely wouldn't mind staying here again.

The hotel was good, the breakfast was excellent, it is walking distance 45 min from downtown. Only problem if you are with a car is that parking at the hotel is not guaranteed and the neighborghood is not parking friendly and that is an understatement. If you are not with a car it is a good option and if you get the bus app plenty of buses to go everywhere.

This hotel was great value for money - out of the busy city centre but easily connected by bus (about 10-15 mins). Most of the main tours did hotel pickups from here so if you are planning on using day trips, its very practical. Breakfast was excellent.

We did not receive the email prior to arrival with the access codes necessary for entering the garage, the hotel and the room. Fortunately there was a person in the “reception” area that helped us with the codes. The rooms were perfect, spacious and definitely very very good beds, best during our stay in Iceland. Breakfast was good, the only thing the kids were missing was fried egg and omelettes, the rest was very good. In the evening we found guests ordering pizza for eating in restaurant area. As eating out in Iceland is very expensive.
