We loved the whole concept of the place! We feel that there are some things that need improvement for future guests. 1. It was incredibly warm in our unit. And there was no other fans to use other than the ceiling fan. Once it broke we were afraid to use it 2. We were uncomfortable with the fact that there were bars on the windows and no dead bolts on the door. 3. The bed would have been much more comfortable if it had a better mattress. 4. It would have been nice to be able to open the windows. 5. There were two spots of blood on the bed sheet. 6. We would have felt more comfortable if there was a code to get in the gate, front door and the door to the second floor main area. 7. The people upstairs were incredibly noisy. We heard them come in very loudly at 1:45 am and we heard noises in the middle of the night. We also heard their alarm going off for thirty minutes in the early morning.

They have no face to the entire operation because they are running a scam and maybe hotel.com is in on it too because why are you still advertising for this company when they are multiple complains online of then asking guest to Zelle them $300 to $500 deposits and not wanting to return the payments. I was asked to do the same and I have been asking for my refund for a week and nothing!

DO NOT STAY HERE – This is NOT a real hotel I booked a one-night stay at Villa Dubois Guest House through Hotels.com for a “luxury” one-bedroom (nonrefundable). The experience was extremely misleading and unacceptable. This is not a hotel—it operates more like a shared living space. We arrived to find no front desk or check-in process. I had to contact the host, who then required a deposit via Zelle or Venmo, outside the Hotels.com platform. This felt very unprofessional, but I felt pressured to pay due to the nonrefundable booking. The room was not clean: - Sock left behind the bed - Bedding appeared unchanged - Dirt and debris under the bed Hours later, I was asked to return to let a cleaner in. Instead, we were moved to another room. The listing was very misleading: - Shared common areas (living/kitchen) - Very basic rooms (no TV or standard amenities) - “Luxury” only means a private bathroom Security was also concerning: - Doors left unlocked - Keys left in doors - Flimsy interior doors I felt unsafe enough to block the door while sleeping. Do not leave valuables in your room. Overall, this property is poorly managed and misrepresented. I strongly recommend avoiding it. My husband and I felt like we were in a survival camp. There was only one towel and one washcloth set for each of us during our entire stay. God forbid if we messed up the sheets because there’s no extra bedding set. There are no room-darkening curtains, no shelving or dressers to store clothes & personal items, no counter space in bathroom for toiletries, one hook for hanging items, no body wash, no facial tissue, no tv in private room, and the list goes on. The hard-as-a-rock Queen sized bed barely held us both, and it sat close to the floor. Even though we have cellphones, the clock in the room did not work. The door latch on the door to the room could easily be manipulated to break into the room. The only parking was on a risky street. It was just not a comfortable stay. To put the cherry on the cake, they require a cash only deposit that’s refundable in three to seven days. Save yourself the trouble and get a real hotel room. It costs just as much.

I stayed here after a stressful experience at the airport where my flight was missed. Every other hotel in the area was booked. I had terrible experience on the phone with other hotels so when I arrived here I was incredibly stressed. The staff was so kind so thoughtful so accommodating. And then to arrive in a room that was so clean with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom, I felt like I was in a five star hotel.
