This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The modern chic decor is to die for! They also think about every little detail… Like putting sound machines in the rooms in case you need background noise to sleep, which is awesome for somebody like me who usually sleeps with the fan. Will definitely be visiting this place again next year!

The Coach House is amazing! Incredibly beautiful boutique hotel in a gorgeously restored heritage home. No detail has been overlooked, rooms are stocked with water snacks coffee tea etc, umbrellas at the front door, fans in the rooms etc. Marley and her team when above and beyond to ensure we had the best time in Salem. The Coach House is easy walking distance (down a beautiful street of heritage homes) to all attractions. You will absolutely have the best stay here.

Great stay there, easy to find and private parking helps in a crowded popular city. Friendly staff just a text away and beautiful room. Only negative i can say that i find it odd that the room doesn't have access to simple things like a microwave or fridge. Plus I'll avoid getting top floor room, all the heat rises up at the end of the day and it gets warm and stuffy even with the ac. Besides that we enjoyed our stay.

The self check-in thing may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but honestly it didn’t bother me at all the way this place is set up. If anything it made the entire thing way easier. And I was quick to get a response if I had a question through text regardless. That out of the way, the stay was amazing. I was there two nights and loved it. The place was spotless clean, beautifully set up, every little detail was accounted for. Whoever cleans and sets these rooms up does a spectacular job. The parking around back with cameras on the lot made me feel my vehicle was secure. The passcode locks to get not only into the room but the building itself was also nice security. The whole stay was just fantastic I can’t say enough good words about this place. If I’m out that way again it’s without a doubt where I’m staying.

Doing all by phone and online is new to me so I’m still on the fence. Juggling my phone (which had the code for entrance lock) and lugging my suitcase up the entrance stairs and inside stairs was a challenge, not recommended for people with any accessibility needs. Beautiful property, without a doubt. Responsive staff via text messages and onsite parking was most helpful.

This is a very beautiful, old style property, well kept and well cared for. At first we were worried about the check in process since we do not have internet while travelling, but it worked out well (it is provided by the property once you get there). They are constantly monitoring your needs and responding properly. We struggled with air conditioning, which was very high on a fairly cool day when we arrived, but the instructions worked out fine. Small bathroom, but there is an ante-bathroom area that can accommodate all your toiletries. TV and internet are included. There is no elevator that we could see, so keep it in mind if you have mobility issues. My only regret is that the windows do not open--and as an European, this is something that I really miss in North American hotels or properties. Altogether, excellent stay.

This was a cool hotel! Clean, good location, walkable to downtown. Check in was easy but a bit weird. Never saw a live person. Just got texted instructions and code, but if you are fine with that, very nice place!

The Coach House is an older home that has been modernized, ie. decor and the heating system. The location is very convenient to central Salem. Check in and check out are contactless. Although this seemed odd for a hotel, I have never experienced as much outreach before for my welfare, before, during and after my visit.

The Coach House Inn is lovely, clean, and elegant. At first, I was concerned about the lack of check-in staff because I arrived around 10p, but the instructions were pretty straightforward, and I had no issues. The bathroom was a bit tight, but it was modern and well-maintained. It was in a very walkable area, about 20-25 minutes' walk to the main drag of Salem. I would definitely recommend this stay to solo travelers and couples. There is no elevator, so be ready to carry your suitcase(s) upstairs should you find yourself on the second or third floor! While it may not be one of the haunted joints in town, it's a charming house, and I will stay here again when I visit my friends in the Fall.

This was the first non chain hotel we stayed in and it was magnificent. It was clean and quiet and the concierge responded quickly. When we come back to Salem we will definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay … first thing when I entered my room was how good and fresh it smelled … the room was clean and the towels were soft fluffy and also smelled wonderful. The queen suit was just like the picture. The bed was very comfy as were the pillows. Beautiful place to stay and will definitely be back next time I visit Salem.

Beautifully updated rooms, the large suite was perfect for our family of 4. Quick, 5 minute drive to all of the area attractions. The virtual concierge service was helpful and friendly, we appreciated the contact free check in/out. Would absolutely stay again.

nice property. i was on first floor in a nice room and I paid $$$$ for a nice room, so no surprise. Unfortunately I was on first floor and I think the room above me was inhabited by furniture movers since the furniture being dragged along the upper floor didn't stop until midnight.

This hotel was spectacular, it was a little far out from town, and the noise level on the street and from the rooms above us were quite loud, they do offer a sound machine to help with it! My other negative was the rooms were so bright, the light on the tv, ac unit and from the windows made the room glow like it was daylight! Other than that the host was AMAZING, we got in super early and they buzzed us in and allowed us to store our bags and then they delivered them to our room when it was ready! They also allowed us an early check in since we had been awake since 4 am and were exhausted! I would definitely stay here again, just wish it was a tad closer to downtown but still a total walkable location!

I booked this hotel for an overnight stay for a Halloween trip to Salem. It is certainly a very beautiful hotel and looks exactly like the pictures, which is very rare. However, and this may be my fault (missed the memo or something) but it's important for people to understand when booking: this hotel has no lobby and no staff on-site to my knowledge, and the concierge is only available what seems via text and only between 7am and 7pm, which makes no sense for most guests, who are out at concerts or tours. To me, this was not worth the $900+ I paid for a single night after tax. Checkin was a stressful multi-step, multi-day process. You must fill out your "passport" the day before so make sure you're available to do this. Otherwise, you won't receive your check-in instructions. Multiple lengthy text messages come in the check-in process and throughout your stay, which is disruptive.

Just be aware that if your phone is dead, you will have no way to access the property, and they do not answer the phone or have anyone around to help. We had a message that a concierge was available until 7pm, but my phone died during our day and Salem, and we tried to call at 6:30 and could not get any answer. Had to just go sit in a gas station and charge my phone in order to get access code. Otherwise the property is great and well decorated. Just make sure your phone is charged because the service isn’t there.

Really don’t care for the process of doing everything electronically. Don’t like the fact that we didn’t see a person affiliated with the property. Not likely to come here again and we are in Salem regularly for friends and family.

Our stay at The Coach House was absolutely perfect. We planned a trip to Salem for our anniversary and Marley, our concierge, went above and beyond to make our stay special. We will absolutely be back, highly recommend!

My daughter and I stayed for a birthday trip. It was such a beautiful place. Someone kept in touch before, during and after our stay. I never felt like I was "out of the loop". Be prepared to walk about a mile to downtown. It is a nice, safe walk though. I would definitely recommend the Coach House!

I don't think there is anywhere else I would stay in Salem. The place was absolutely gorgeous and in a neighborhood thats quiet yet close enough to all the major spots. The interior design was #goals.

This is not at all what it's advertised to be, no doubt. They claim it's "historic" but then they completely "renovated" the history right out of it. It's almost set up to fail. The contact-less experience is to put it mildly horrible. Not having anyone in person is the ultimate cheap out taking jobs away from folks in the most dehumanizing way. It made the overall experience akin to renting out an AirBnB without the whole house/apartment experience you get with that---and it cost nearly as much to boot! Add in the fact they advertise it to be "15 minutes walking" to Salem proper (Essex Street, etc.) and it actually being nearly a mile walking there that took more than 35 minutes and you can see why this would not be a good choice if you aren't driving yourself around. Thankfully Uber wasn't brutally expensive going to and from but that doesn't excuse the lie that it's a walkable experience. There are MUCH better for nearly the same cost in the area, keep on looking and avoid this one.

Beautifully updated rooms, the large suite was perfect for our family of 4. Quick, 5 minute drive to all of the area attractions. The virtual concierge service was helpful and friendly, we appreciated the contact free check in/out. Would absolutely stay again.

Such a great place to stay. Host was very attentive to guest needs. Not to far from main attractions, food and shopping. About 18 min walking distance to Salem village. If you need the bus the bus stop is a few steps from the house. Coach house is so clean and aesthetically pleasing.

The property is beautiful and the use of space is excellent. The amenities in the rooms were so nice to have and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves even though the rooms were all full. We never saw another guest! It’s only about a mile to Essex St. but it is definitely iwalkable. Uber ride is about 10 mins. Highly recommend

This hotel was spectacular, it was a little far out from town, and the noise level on the street and from the rooms above us were quite loud, they do offer a sound machine to help with it! My other negative was the rooms were so bright, the light on the tv, ac unit and from the windows made the room glow like it was daylight! Other than that the host was AMAZING, we got in super early and they buzzed us in and allowed us to store our bags and then they delivered them to our room when it was ready! They also allowed us an early check in since we had been awake since 4 am and were exhausted! I would definitely stay here again, just wish it was a tad closer to downtown but still a total walkable location!

This was a cool hotel! Clean, good location, walkable to downtown. Check in was easy but a bit weird. Never saw a live person. Just got texted instructions and code, but if you are fine with that, very nice place!

We had an amazing stay at the Coach House for our honeymoon! We were very impressed with the building, our room, and the service. The location was ideal for us with a pleasant 15-minute walk to downtown Salem. We stayed in Room 8, one of the queen suites. It was perfect for us. Thanks Marley for the great experience!

The room was a good size. Very clean. The staff was courteous and very helpful. They served a cute little box of fruits and bakery at your door for breakfast. I would highly recommend.

The Coach House is amazing! Incredibly beautiful boutique hotel in a gorgeously restored heritage home. No detail has been overlooked, rooms are stocked with water snacks coffee tea etc, umbrellas at the front door, fans in the rooms etc. Marley and her team when above and beyond to ensure we had the best time in Salem. The Coach House is easy walking distance (down a beautiful street of heritage homes) to all attractions. You will absolutely have the best stay here.

Had a great experience staying at the coach house. Staff was helpful and provided recommendations when I asked for restaurant suggestions for dietary restrictions. It was super clean and well kept. I had my car and was able to park it easily in their lot. Self check in was easy. A bit further to walk downtown but not unreasonable. I decided to drive into town and parking was also easy to find (lots of parkade options for all day parking). Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room was beautiful. Staff was very friendly, and even thought not on site, very helpful & responsive. We enjoyed the complimentary snacks, and the bagels and lattes from Jaho were amazing! We appreciated the gift certificate provided with stay to cover our breakfast! Would definitely stay again!

The Coach House was an absolute amazing experience! Beautiful and modern while still having a historic appeal! It is very private, and while there is actually no staff on site, you actually have your own personal concierge who contacts you via text message, and although it seems like it would be impersonal it is actually the absolute opposite, as they give you all the information you need to know prior to arrival and if you have any further requests or question they answer promptly! It was quiet and peaceful, beautiful ambiance! And let me tell you something else! As an added bonus, I opted for the complimentary breakfast, which gets delivered early in the morning in this gorgeous, cute almost like gift box, wrapped with a bow, almost too beautiful to open lol! But you will want to open as it comes with fruit and pastries and it was delicious! This was my first visit to Salem and it was amazing and I will def be coming back!

So quaint! My daughter loved it and all the decor. Room was perfect. It was advertised as a Bed & breakfast - as I filtered Breakfast included but it is not. They have a great coffee tea bar setup and water bottles in the room with all the sugar and creamers. They deliver a nice little box of fruit and pastries/muffins for a light breakfast, It was nice.. I would definitley return again.

This experience was amazing! We loved every detail. It was so trendy and dapper yet held the boldness with such grace. It was lovely. The room had everything to make your stay comfortable. There was coffee and teas and fresh water. We found this refreshing on the hot summer day that we were there. The beds were so nice. The snacks and robes were a great touch. We loved reading about the history and just adored everything.

This was my first time staying at a boutique hotel and it was a great choice. Not only was the price great, but the room was a good size and I enjoyed the snacks and toiletries. It was also very quiet— I slept very well. The Coach House is about a 20 minute walk (5-10 minute Uber) into the town square. The weather was great so I enjoyed the walks. Water was hot and pressure good.

Our room felt updated and modern where it needed to be while still maintaining the old charm of the historical home. Check in and check out was seamless and communication from the hotel was great. The helpfulness of the textable concierge left a lot to be desired but that’s our only negative.
