You get what you pay for, so my visit to Beach Bum was pretty much what I expected-- an inexpensive stay close enough to the beach. On that score it was really great! The room was small but comfortable and clean, the air conditioner worked well, and the staff are friendly and nice. The stairs were steep and there was no elevator, so plan accordingly. I would def stay here again.

I didn’t realize I would be on the 3rd floor with no elevator. I have breathing problems and it made it difficult to go up and down. They were unable to move me to a 1st floor. The front desk staff were very helpful and helped carry my stuff up.

This is our second year in a row staying at the Beach Bum. We Love staying here so much! it’s within walking distance from the beach, perfect sized room, staff are so sweet. Rooms are so clean! The pool is like an over sized bathtub, but when your at the beach you don’t really need a pool. over all would stay here over and over again!

It was my first stay in Ocean City MD and I am glad we chose Beach Bum Inn. Check in was a breeze, parking is very compact and I had a bit of an issue parking because the way another car was parked but they immediately solved the problem! Room was clean and simple. Our neighbors were nice and quiet everyone seemed to obey the property rules. Literally right across the street we were on the boardwalk/beach and if you go the opposite direction of the beach no more than a 5 minute walk there was a 24hr convenience store and the pier/bay! PERFECT location!!! Next time we visit Maryland we will definitely be staying here again!

Staff were very pleasant ,and understanding about changing my room. Place was right across from the broad walk /beach. Have a small pool for the little ones. 10/10 for me . Book your stay what are you waiting for.

The Beach Bum is our go to when we go to ocean city. The staff is extremely nice, the rooms are clean, they offer continental breakfast, they are waling distance to 3rd street. We will continue to stay here at our annual Ocean City visit.

The staff were very kind but the pictures were quite misleading online, the blankets on the bed gave us the ick.. and the only thing in the room is a mini fridge and ours did not work and had an awful smell. The outside of the building is cute but the rooms not so much. Perks are very close to boardwalk and beach! Definitely felt like it was “ok” just way over priced for what it has to offer.

We booked 2 nights and arrived very late the first night. The room was filthy. There was visible dirt on the white bed spread which is the first thing you would notice coming into the room. There was also urine on the toilet and it was just obvious no one cleaned after the previous guest. Also the balcony door only had a chain lock,and was very close to the outdoor stairwell. We did not feel safe. We were unable to get a refund.

The amenities are misleading. The room is small and does not have storage at all. The staff was rude beyond belief. Towels were cheap and useless. Shower had no water pressure. Beds were uncomfortable. Room needs to be cleaner. I wouldn’t recommend. Spend a little bit more money and stay at one of the hotels. On the positive side, the location was decent and walkable to the all the shops.

While it is definitely an older building the room was extremely clean. The bed wasn’t very comfortable but its Ocean City so I was mostly out and about. The location couldn’t be more perfect! A block from the beach and near a lot of attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The walls are a bit thin which wouldn’t be an issue if other guests are considerate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return!

Breakfast consists of jimmy dean microwave sandwiches and cereal or oatmeal. Beds were very comfy but the pillows we absolutely garbage. Room was nice and staff were very friendly. Overall a good experience but went out to breakfast instead.

So it was an ok place one block ro the beach with adequate parking. There was a hot water issue & a deadbolt issue that I noted to Hotels.com on arrival.The hot water issue was resolved the deadbolt issue not & I take security issues seriously.I found the room quiet in spite of the busy street it faced and heard nothing from fellow customers so that’s good.

So it was an ok place one block ro the beach with adequate parking. There was a hot water issue & a deadbolt issue that I noted to Hotels.com on arrival.The hot water issue was resolved the deadbolt issue not & I take security issues seriously.I found the room quiet in spite of the busy street it faced and heard nothing from fellow customers so that’s good.

Nice little place to stay! Room was small but not a big deal. Parking was a bit tight, but there was a spot and that was the important part. Staff was very nice and got us checked right in and right out! Room was decorated cute!

Please send an undercover agent from bbb bc I believe this hotel have been running this money scam for years ..initially to book this hotel for 2 days is 55$ but it says wen u get to the hotel u will owe22$ no that is not the case here total this hotel is 400-500 dollars for a day bc he will make u pay 100 for the remaining balance plus 100 for the security room deposit & 100 some other feees After driving 5 hours & it was rainy really bad I just check in bc I needed to sleep & wasn’t feeling good

Wonderful staff, very friendly went out of there way to get a friend of ours last minute trip to get them by us, rooms are very clean very close to everything, really couldn't ask for anything better, will be returning to the Beach Bum!!!!

The Beach Bum is our go to when we go to ocean city. The staff is extremely nice, the rooms are clean, they offer continental breakfast, they are waling distance to 3rd street. We will continue to stay here at our annual Ocean City visit.

This is our second year in a row staying at the Beach Bum. We Love staying here so much! it’s within walking distance from the beach, perfect sized room, staff are so sweet. Rooms are so clean! The pool is like an over sized bathtub, but when your at the beach you don’t really need a pool. over all would stay here over and over again!

While it is definitely an older building the room was extremely clean. The bed wasn’t very comfortable but its Ocean City so I was mostly out and about. The location couldn’t be more perfect! A block from the beach and near a lot of attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The walls are a bit thin which wouldn’t be an issue if other guests are considerate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return!

It was my first stay in Ocean City MD and I am glad we chose Beach Bum Inn. Check in was a breeze, parking is very compact and I had a bit of an issue parking because the way another car was parked but they immediately solved the problem! Room was clean and simple. Our neighbors were nice and quiet everyone seemed to obey the property rules. Literally right across the street we were on the boardwalk/beach and if you go the opposite direction of the beach no more than a 5 minute walk there was a 24hr convenience store and the pier/bay! PERFECT location!!! Next time we visit Maryland we will definitely be staying here again!

Staff were very pleasant ,and understanding about changing my room. Place was right across from the broad walk /beach. Have a small pool for the little ones. 10/10 for me . Book your stay what are you waiting for.

Breakfast was horrible, for the price I paid I should get better quality of food dam, the pool was so dam small not even 5 people fit in there horrible. I regret booking a room here…. Never again

Breakfast consists of jimmy dean microwave sandwiches and cereal or oatmeal. Beds were very comfy but the pillows we absolutely garbage. Room was nice and staff were very friendly. Overall a good experience but went out to breakfast instead.

Small but clean. Nice patio. Free breakfast. Easy transportation. Parking is tight. Close to beach and boardwalk. Close to basketball and skate park and harbor.

Very nice stay for me and my two children. Rooms are small but efficient and clean. The mini fridge and microwave were nice to have. We enjoyed the balcony and the pool. It was also nice to have the complimentary breakfast every morning. Couldn't ask for more for the price. It was literally a one block walk to the beach and boardwalk area with rides and games was a short walk.

The only complaints I have was finding two pieces of clothing under the bed and the toilet seat kept falling off. The mattress from the pull out couch had stains on it.

The staff was very, very nice. We arrived early and they called us when our room was ready to check in. The continental breakfast was a nice idea but it was a little disappointing. The location was great, one block from the beach and boardwalk. It was definitely worth the price we paid!!

The Beach Bum is a perfect stay for a solo-cation or solo trip. The room was clean and cozy. I have one complaint, please upgrade the tv and the remote. The parking is limited but free!! Yayyy! It’s exactly as it looks on the photos. The staff is fantastic in all ways! Stay here, it is literally 2 mins from the beach (up-out-walk-beach, it’s that close). You will love it. Enjoy

Overall the place was nice nd clean. Downfall, no coffee pots in the room. I start drinking coffee at 3am everyday. It was miserable with NO coffee in the room.
