We had a great stay at La bayardine. Our studio was lovely, very clean and had all the facilities anyone could need. Breakfast was great and came along with suggestions of what we could do in the area. Great location with beautiful views and a nice walk into Sarlat centre. Thank you Frank and Nelly. A' bientot. Lovely quiet location just outside of busy Sarlat owned by a welcoming couple. Access to the yard, the deck, and a kitchen area for guests is all lovely! Quick drive into the old ville for restaurants etc but nice to retreat to the quiet surroundings of La Bayardine. Wonderful breakfast on the terrasse!

Très belle auberge. Les chambres sont magnifiques. La petite cuisine pour les invités a tout ce que l'on a besoin. Les hôtes sont très gentil et connaissent bien leur region et nous ont bien guidé dans nos choix de visite. Le déjeuner est exceptionnel. Je recommende à tous et je vais définitivement y retourner.

This place is a gem. First, the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Second, our hosts were warm, friendly. And helpful. The breakfast was the best we have had on our journey through France. We enthusiastically recommend La Bayardine!

Frank and Nelly were excellent Hosts. Beautiful home made yogerts and jams to go with other goodies at breakfast. Also what was great was you had a room with a fridge and sofa and table, microwave, so if you did not want to go out to eat you can do something yourself. I would recommend, this hotel it’s in a very good location. Thank you again

Such a great place to stay and wonderful hosts. The view from the terrace is stunning and so relaxing. It is beautifully decorated and has plenty of outdoor spaces to unwind and enjoy the gorgeous Sarlat weather. Last but not least, the breakfast is absolutely delicious and huge! Thanks to Nelly and Franck for their warm welcome.

Frank and his wife are creating a peaceful beautiful B&B. The breakfast consists of homemade yogurt and preserves along with fresh croissants and/or baguette with fruit. Frank will prepare whatever cafe you wish with his deluxe machine. Our room was over the garden and filled with birds chirping in the morning. All delightful.

La Bayardine was a great experience. We strongly recommend this stay. We had an unfortunate experience with a flat tire earlier in the day and Frank was extremely accommodating. We arrived around 9:30/10:00 PM. Frank personally called restaurants and drove us to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The room was also incredibly clean and well decorated. Breakfast was also great; the yogurt was our favorite! Thank you again for a great stay and for being so helpful!

We have really enjoyed our 2-day stay in La Bayardine. We are very thankful for Nelly and Franck for opening their home to us and welcoming us in the warmest way. The room was very spacious and we had a great view of the bridge to Sarlat. The breakfast was outstanding and we enjoyed spending it with other guests. This has been a great experience and we will share it with friends and family. Hope to visit again in the future!

Un séjour trop court dans cette magnifique régions. La Bayardine est un Véritable havre de paix, avec des propriétaires extrêmement sympathiques et attentionnés, sans être envahissants. Une vue magnifique du studio ! Le centre ville à quelques pas. Un logement confortable. Tout était réuni pour un week-end réussi.
Un séjour trop court dans cette magnifique régions. La Bayardine est un Véritable havre de paix, avec des propriétaires extrêmement sympathiques et attentionnés, sans être envahissants. We loved this beautiful guesthouse and our gracious, welcoming hosts. Nelly’s jams and Franck’s yogurt were a delight at breakfast. If you are staying in Sarlat, try to stay here. It is a bit removed from the medieval city, though only a few minutes by car, or an easy walk. We really appreciated the peace and quiet.

Franck and Nelly are very kind hosts: we arrived late in the morning and nevertheless they gave us the opportunity to get the room. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jam and cakes. La Bayardine is a peaceful place where you can relax yourself, have good time and visit wonderful villages. We really recommend this B&B: grazie Franck and Nelly!

Convenient location close to Sarlat yet in a quiet area. Super clean place with a nice breakfast and extremely friendly hosts. Clearly recommended ! Frank and Nelly were excellent Hosts. Beautiful home made yogerts and jams to go with other goodies at breakfast. Also what was great was you had a room with a fridge and sofa and table, microwave, so if you did not want to go out to eat you can do something yourself. I would recommend, this hotel it’s in a very good location. Thank you again

La Bayardine was a great experience. We strongly recommend this stay. We had an unfortunate experience with a flat tire earlier in the day and Frank was extremely accommodating. We arrived around 9:30/10:00 PM. Frank personally called restaurants and drove us to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The room was also incredibly clean and well decorated. Breakfast was also great; the yogurt was our favorite! Thank you again for a great stay and for being so helpful!

We loved this beautiful guesthouse and our gracious, welcoming hosts. Nelly’s jams and Franck’s yogurt were a delight at breakfast. If you are staying in Sarlat, try to stay here. It is a bit removed from the medieval city, though only a few minutes by car, or an easy walk. We really appreciated the peace and quiet.

We had a great stay at La bayardine. Our studio was lovely, very clean and had all the facilities anyone could need. Breakfast was great and came along with suggestions of what we could do in the area. Great location with beautiful views and a nice walk into Sarlat centre. Thank you Frank and Nelly. A' bientot. Un séjour trop court dans cette magnifique régions. La Bayardine est un Véritable havre de paix, avec des propriétaires extrêmement sympathiques et attentionnés, sans être envahissants. Une vue magnifique du studio ! Le centre ville à quelques pas. Un logement confortable. Tout était réuni pour un week-end réussi.

Lovely quiet location just outside of busy Sarlat owned by a welcoming couple. Access to the yard, the deck, and a kitchen area for guests is all lovely! Quick drive into the old ville for restaurants etc but nice to retreat to the quiet surroundings of La Bayardine. Wonderful breakfast on the terrasse!

Accueil sympathique, chambre vaste et confortable, salle de bain privative moderne et pratique, petit déjeuner très agréable (mention spéciale pour la salade de fruits et le yaourt faits maison)... Ma seule (micro) réserve est sur le chemin d'accès suffisamment étroit pour avoir fait sonner toutes les bips de ma voiture 😉

A little tricky to find at first, but well worth It! Nicest hosts, most delicious breakfast (especially that homemade yogurt) and attention to detail make for a comfortable stay. Sarlat really is just 5 minutes by car, but you’ll sleep blissfully well at this lovely quiet B&B.

Very warm and friendly hosts! The home is beautiful and spotless with a lovely back terrace for breakfast dining, or just relaxing with views overlooking Sarlat-la-Caneda. Would absolutely stay again!

Fabulous. Everything was perfect. From the warm welcome with brief tour of the property, to the personalized breakfast options served at your convenience. Spotlessly clean and modern but still combines traditional design and style for a genuinely memorable stay. You feel like you are one of the family visiting your favorite relatives. Do yourselves a favour and stay here. You will love it.

Frank and his wife are creating a peaceful beautiful B&B. The breakfast consists of homemade yogurt and preserves along with fresh croissants and/or baguette with fruit. Frank will prepare whatever cafe you wish with his deluxe machine. Our room was over the garden and filled with birds chirping in the morning. All delightful.

This was an AMAZING stay. Beautiful location and wonderful hosts. The drive up to the place took getting used to, but we expected that with a rental car. We stayed during the terrible heat wave and it was absolutely our safe haven during this part of our vacation. Thank you to our wonderful hosts - the breakfast was much appreciated with croissants and chocolatine and coffee every morning. Merci beaucoup. We hope to come back!

Very nice and homey studio. Loved the courtyard and breakfast. Would have appreciated use of washing machine, but we just hand washed our clothes and hung on washing line.

I would like to explain why I did not give this property a 5-star rating. First of all, Frank was an exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful host. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and showed outstanding hospitality. The property is also very well located if you want to visit Sarlat and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, we visited during an extremely hot period. The property does not have air conditioning or a swimming pool, while many neighboring homes do have pools, which would have made a significant difference during our stay. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent, and Frank made sure we were very well taken care of every morning. What truly disappointed us was the attitude of Frank’s wife. From the very beginning, she was unfriendly and unwelcoming. On the day of our departure, we checked out at 9:00 a.m. because we wanted to visit the Sarlat market. Frank kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at the property while we were away. We returned around 11:30 a.m. to collect our bags, and before starting our drive, we simply needed to use the restroom. Unfortunately, only his wife was there, and she flatly refused to let us use the bathroom. That experience left us with a very negative final impression of what had otherwise been a pleasant stay. 👎👎👎
