The room was super cute - in fact the entire property was super cute. Everything was meticulously picked out and really esthetically pleasing. It was a super quiet hotel- so quiet I felt like we were too loud just existing at times. There are essentially no amenities either. Drip coffee and a water cooler in the lobby are about it. But- ultimately it was a really nice experience. I would rent a room there again.

Room was smaller than picture lead to believe. The area where the jacuzzi had weeds and not outside light, so it did not feel safe to walk around. The shower curtain was sufficient to keep water in the shower area. Robes were stiff and so were towels. The AC unit worked well, the bed was comfy and so were the pillows. Property needs maintance, it was not inviting, Owners were courteous and breakfast was excellent.

This stay was excellent. The soaps, shampoo, conditioner were all handmade. We stayed in the room that had a personal hot tub outside & it was wonderful. The breakfast was great. I have zero complaints. It was quiet. Self check in was super. Everything was clean. The lady who made our breakfast was very sweet and fast. The man who was cleaning the rooms was nice as well! She made us blueberry muffins that were to die for. I ordered an extra half a dozen and I ate three of them in the same day! The land seemed very private, and quiet, and safe. You can see the garden they use for the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Check in and check out were completely remote and extremely easy and convenient. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Wifi was fast, water pressure was good, parking easy. They also had a lovely little outdoor area to sit in. I would highly recommend stepping out at night to see the stars - we could see the entire milky way from the parking lot. The only little thing was that the A/C remote was a little hard to use.

They only thing it would be nice to have a hot tub or pool for all, other than that it was a great place to stay! Beautiful, easy access to the town and GREAT BREAKFAST!! Overall, we will be coming BACK!

A very quaint little place that I hope does well in the future. It's a little ways out of town, but that helped in keeping things quiet, as opposed to an in-town hotel. The hosts were friendly, the breakfast was great (although only bacon was available, but things happen). The fresh-out-of-the-oven muffin was a great start. It seems like more of a B and B rather than a motel. The grounds are nice, with a fire pit available with umbrellas and chairs. Check in and out is easy, but you do need to be able to get email or text to get your room combination if no one is at the desk (yes, combination locks on the room doors. That's unusual.). I didn't know that. The room decor is attractive and clean, with a stocked mini-fridge if you want something to snack on. Know, however, that the snacks are not complimentary. But the dining area is made available during off-hours if you want to heat something up in the microwave and the tables and chairs are available. All in all, with a little fine-tuning, this is a top-notch place to stay.

We loved everything about our stay. Our room was so cozy. We stayed in Room 7, the heart shape hottub was so relaxing and a perfect way to end the day. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Great service. 10/10 recommend

Wonderful updated boutique motel. I had the room with the private hot tub and it was wonderful! Very cozy and comfortable room and setting. Hosts are nice, the breakfast (separate charge) was delicious. Close to Taos but out of the main area. Definitely would stay again!

Room was clean and comfortable. AC/heat great. Bathroom updated and nice. Owners very responsive. All done through phone call and text. Easy and flexible checkin and out, no waiting in line at a desk and meeting office hours. Cafe is quaint and provides great coffee. Can order meals ahead to be served. Only had time for morning coffee but it was hot, ready as advertised and delicious. Grounds safe and beautiful.

Property was clean and organized. Owners had excellent communication and service was very pleasant. Loved the fact that breakfast was included and hospitality was amazing. Will definitely be back and recommend it for your travel if you are skiing near Taos.

I am so glad we stayed at The Desert Flower Boutique Hotel! It was truly a gem and a delight to stay here. From the moment we arrived, the scenery was absolutely beautiful overlooking the mountains and the paintings and flowers were beautiful! The check in process was also super convenient. Upon arriving to our room, the first thing I noticed was the art and the cleanliness of our room. The overall aesthetic and ambiance was truly one of a kind. Beds were comfortable and the location was safe. The breakfast and coffee in the morning was also very delicious and pleasant! The owner was also very kind and welcoming. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would come back here in the future.

Place was a dump! We walked in the room and walked back out and paid for a room elsewhere at additional expense to us. The hotel looked like it was in the motor a field right on main road. Parking lot was just dirt which turned to mud as it was raining. Area felt unsafe and room extremely run down. Definitely not what we thought we were paying for from the way it was represented on your website.

The breakfast alone is worth the stay. The blueberry muffins are amazing, and the breakfast is delicious. The room was very nice. We were in room six with the copper tub. A great soak after a rainy day of rafting. It was very quiet in the room. Work is continuing on the outside green space. It is sure to be amazing when that is complete. I highly recommend.

Lovely boutique hotel in Ranchos de Taos. It's a bit secluded but within short driving distance to downtown and attractions. The seclusion allowed me to slow down and relax! The room that I stayed in has a luxurious oversized copper bath tub, which I enjoyed very much! I also loved the decor. The hosts were amazing! My stay included breakfast with both traditional and contemporary menu to choose from. The eggs that they serve at the restaurant are from the chickens in the backyard farm. :-)

We absolutely loved this hotel on line. There has been a ton of effort put into this hotel. It was very clean. Our room was also very small and lacking some basics like outlets close to the bed. I also am not a fan of contactless check in. I much prefer to meet the locals so they can steer me in the right direction for amazing offerings in the area. A for effort B+ for delivery

The proprietors have done a beautiful job of renovating and remodeling an old motel. The design and quality of work done are excellent. The landscaping is good, and will be developing into excellent as plants mature. The home cooked breakfast is great. The only reservation, that prevented an "excellent" overall all rating, is that the units are very small. Ours measured about 15' x 21', and this included the bathroom, which was about 7' x 9'. The sink was tiny, and a small shelf substituted for a larger countertop. We would recommend this place for somebody traveling light, who wouldn't feel the need to spend much time in the unit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this true gem of a hotel. My room was not only adorable, but it was spotless. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the linens felt luxurious. The location was also ideal. We were able to grab things we needed at the Walmart just a few minutes away and it was about 30-40 min to Skiing at both Sipapu and Taos Ski Valley. The food at the hotel was also absolutely delicious. Our breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, and you could taste the love and attention to detail. My luggage was misplaced by the airline and it was being delivered during a time when we had plans they stepped in to help me facilitate the safe handling and delivery of my luggage. They went above and beyond to help. They truly care about their guests!

Room was clean and comfortable. AC/heat great. Bathroom updated and nice. Owners very responsive. All done through phone call and text. Easy and flexible checkin and out, no waiting in line at a desk and meeting office hours. Cafe is quaint and provides great coffee. Can order meals ahead to be served. Only had time for morning coffee but it was hot, ready as advertised and delicious. Grounds safe and beautiful.

Check in and check out were completely remote and extremely easy and convenient. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Wifi was fast, water pressure was good, parking easy. They also had a lovely little outdoor area to sit in. I would highly recommend stepping out at night to see the stars - we could see the entire milky way from the parking lot. The only little thing was that the A/C remote was a little hard to use.

Property was clean and organized. Owners had excellent communication and service was very pleasant. Loved the fact that breakfast was included and hospitality was amazing. Will definitely be back and recommend it for your travel if you are skiing near Taos.

What a great place to stay in Taos! The family who own this place are very nice and welcoming! They can make recommendations for anything you ask about. Breakfast was more than I could have hoped for including the blueberry muffins! Don’t hesitate when looking for lodging in Taos, this is the place you should stay!

We had a little confusing in the check in but it was worked out. I had read that the breakfast was great, however, we are vegetarians so i thought we wouldn't get to eat. When we entered the dining area we talked with the owners who make all the food themselves. They were able to make our order vegetarian. It was the most amazing breakfast ever. The blueberry crumble muffins and the breakfast burritos were unbelievable.

Very nice room. Property is just outside Taos, nice and quiet, easy parking, and just a short drive to town. People running the hotel are so friendly and nice - wonderful! The breakfasts are AMAZING - not at all typical hotel breakfast - including the best blueberry muffin you will *ever* have!

Our first visit to Taos as part of a longer trip. We booked the room on the same day as we needed it. Booking was quick while communication from the hosts was quicker. They sent us the access code since we would be checking in after hours. The Hotel is located about 4 mile south of downtown, which was awesome for a little separation from the busyness of downtown. Breakfast was exceptional, prepared by the hosts.

This property was recently renovated and the space is beautiful. Just 5 miles from downtown Taos, we really found this hotel to be a special treat. The rooms are beautifully restored, and the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We took advantage of the hot tub outside of our room. The hosts we wonderful and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. We recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in or near Taos.

Wonderful updated boutique motel. I had the room with the private hot tub and it was wonderful! Very cozy and comfortable room and setting. Hosts are nice, the breakfast (separate charge) was delicious. Close to Taos but out of the main area. Definitely would stay again!

Everything was outstanding. They have obviously done a lot of renovations. Bathroom shower was spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh eggs from their hens. Blueberry muffins in the morning!! Exceptional.

This was a wonderful experience!!! Quality amenities, a cozy room, perfect location, and a breakfast to die for!!! Luxury meets tranquility in Taos. This hotel quickly became one of our favorites. It's a unique experience for a solo or couples getaway! With only 7 rooms on the premises it's not too crowded and offers privacy. Hosts are friendly, and have put a lot of care and craftsmanship into this beautiful oasis. They are a great wealth of knowledge for the area!! And did I mention they serve some of the best muffins you will ever have. Breakfast options are delicious and included with your stay there is a good selection of options so if you stay several days , you can work through the menu! Our room was cozy and private, with a good heating for those chilly Taos winter nights. Quality linens and beautiful and unique decor have been chosen for each room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious with a walk in shower and of course a copper soaking tub! Fridges are in each room with access to a microwave, seating area, and games in the cafe area. This is definitely a must when staying in Taos it's perfectly located close enough but far enough away you don't get caught up in the congestion of downtown.

The owners have added so many unique touches. Each room is designed by a local artist. Ours had a copper soaking tub- heaven. Breakfast was included and amazing. Homemade blueberry muffins and fresh eggs from the chickens out back! The hosts made us feel right at home

This place is super cute and kind of retro like going back in time, mid-century, modern decor, very well and thoughtfully maintained and the rooms are well appointed. Family owned and as a solo female traveler, I felt really safe here and comfortable. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious!

We had an amazing stay at Desert Flower Hotel! We stayed in Room 7, which included a private hot tub that was perfect for soaking in and relaxing after our adventurous days exploring Taos. One of the highlights of our stay was the homemade breakfast each morning. Everything was delicious, especially the homemade blueberry muffins. It was such a treat to wake up and enjoy a freshly prepared meal before heading out to explore for the day. Jody and Xochitl were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We also loved the unique touches throughout the property, including the custom playlist created specifically for each room. It was clear that so much thought and care went into every aspect of the guest experience. Every detail was perfect, and our stay exceeded expectations. We highly recommend Desert Flower Hotel and can’t wait to return!

Jody and Xochitl were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We also loved the unique touches throughout the property, including the custom playlist created specifically for each room. It was clear that so much thought and care went into every aspect of the guest experience. Every detail was perfect, and our stay exceeded expectations.
