We stayed here for a week in August. The property is ok. The issue is they put all their effort into making the lobby and pool area look so modern and fancy, meanwhile the rooms are just like every other motel in Wildwood. They can use updating and a deep cleaning. The real issue was finding parking. To go along with the fancy facade of the lobby, they require valet parking once the handful of parking spots in front are taken. I don’t really need someone driving and parking my car with my personal items inside every time I come back from dinner or the boardwalk. Completely unnecessary and at times inconvenient. I personally would not stay here again when there are hotels with identical rooms for a lot less.

Really cute boutique appearance hotel for the shore. Very clean, great pool and on the beach. My only downside traveling for a quiet weekend away. It had a lot of children in the pool. There are two pools if you count the property next-door, it would be wonderful if one of them was adult only. I would vote for the ocean view pool. Also very convenient that they supply transportation around town and to Cape May. However, long waits during dinner time so quicker to uber. Convenient restaurant/diner on site, food was good, but you can find a better breakfast across the street at the Admiral Inn.

Resort is brand new and beautiful. Very clean and cool retro rooms. Pool is great and access to the beach is awesome. Only minor complaint is why is the pool area music blasting at 8 am when the pool doesn’t open till 9? Also was not thrilled about the pool being closed so a group could do their yoga during swimming hours. Doesn’t make sense. Do the yoga before 9 am. Still a great resort and would recommend it to others.

AMAZING!! We love to travel and I must say The Madison was one of my favorite resorts! Other than a slow elevator everything was AMAZING! Check in was easy, the resort was spotless and Beautiful! The rooms were specious, beautifully decorated and well thought out.(We stayed in the Ocean Tower) We loved the free area shuttles, Shaun and Jake were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The pool side snack bar was perfect to grab a quick bite while relaxing at the pool. Breakfast in the restaurant was easy and delicious. I had the blueberry lemon curd skillet. Yum! But by far our favorite amenity was the beach chair and umbrella service. We loved not having to drag all of our stuff to the beach. We give the resort and the staff a 10 out of 10! Can’t wait to visit again. Oh and there’s also a secret roof top deck if you want a nice quiet place to relax.

Excellent location, fun decor, lovely pool and outside sitting area with fire pits. But parking was difficult and it was pricey (albeit we booked relatively late for high season).

Really nice cozy, retro style hotel with a nice indoor-outdoor restaurant called "Vinyl". The breakfast was very good with attentive service. Really nice pool area with heated pool and Jacuzzi-style hot tub. Outside, walk down the stairs and you are on the beach. Valet parking is quick. Air conditioning is VERY efficient. Front desk, Iona was great, she got to know us personally. Highly recommended, we will be back when we can spend more time.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is excellent – right in front of the beach – and the views from my room were beautiful, even though I didn’t have a partial ocean view. I stayed on the 5th floor in the Royal Tower. The room was very clean and well-equipped. It had two very comfortable queen beds, a small fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a sofa bed, and a dining area with a table for six. The only downside of my stay was the sofa bed – it was in terrible condition, with springs poking through and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this made it a bad sleeping experience for my son. Aside from that, the room was excellent. The hotel offers its own parking lot, and you can park yourself without needing a reservation, which was very convenient. There are two pools – a large one and a smaller one for kids. The smaller pool is heated, and the larger pool had pleasantly warm water, perfect for this time of year when the weather is not very hot. There’s also a hot tub, which was a nice bonus. The property has a café and ice cream shop on-site, which was very good. One of the best perks of this hotel is that they provide beach chairs and umbrellas at no extra cost. The hotel staff is stationed right on the beach in front of the property and will set up as many chairs and umbrellas as you need. This is such a great service since you don’t have to worry about carrying anything to the beach yourself. Overall recommend it.

The resort was so cute! The decor and pool were great! The rooms were clean and everyone was so nice. The restaurant and dood truck had good food and snacks! Jack who drove the shuttle was great and very prompt in dropping us off and picking us up from the boardwalk. Valet was great too! 10/10 stay!

Beautiful! Loved fire pits, hot tub, proximity to the beach, pool was heated, restaurant on site, included chairs and umbrellas and they them set up for you! You can order food from the beach, truly had an upscale resort feel for reasonable price. I think we found our new place in the Crest!

Room was unusable due to stopped up shower. Despite requesting this to be fixed every day, never repaired over 4 days. Ceiling in bathroom then started leaking. Mold noted in bathroom. Sugar packet in room was moldy. Rooms not cleaned well at all. This is a short list of complaints at this “resort”.

Dirt & filth & horrible parking conditions ruin the stay. Interior fridge area and bathroom shower, floor etc all dirty. Parking was a nightmare in the royal tower bldg. Literally cannot get out of car when parking b/c spots are so tight. If you care about dings you will not want to be here. The building we were in was just a beach motel. The pool had someone’s bra inserts sitting in the middle island of the pool. Could not regulate ac temp. You picked H-M-L; no degrees setting. Won’t do this again.

Bathroom was dirty. Pink and yellow slime all over the shower curtain bottom and the grout in between the shower tiles had a pink slime. Hole in the bathroom wall where a hook/fixture was. Bathroom had strong urine and chemical odor to it the entire time. Room was poorly put together with the bedside table screwed into the wall completely blocking the outlets. There is a large drop from the entrance into the room with no warning where we all tripped and fell. The music was so loud until 930 at night. Not ideal for a family with young kids. The elevator could only fit 4 people and was consistently getting stuck and was filthy. There was a dead bug on the floor in a pile of dirt in the elevator the entirety of our stay. The lack of a system for the shuttle was frustrating. There was no consistent pick up time or drop off time or pick up/drop off location. Plus minimal parking with an ENTIRE lot for only valet which people were not utilizing. The ONLY good thing about the hotel was the friendly and courteous staff who were always helpful and kind and went above and beyond.

Important to know eatery schedules or bring your own eats. Had a bath with pleated bath towels. Room comfy and quiet. Had a retro vibe on this property. Hope to go back.

This place had black mold all over bathroom door and ceiling and the air conditioner had mold as well. It seems like they fixed up one hotel and just threw some paint on the other one, the staff was not helpful at all when I explained about the mold and said they could send house keeping to clean it? Not sure you understand how mold works but things need to be replaced. I can’t believe they are even renting the rooms in this condition, it’s shameful!

The hotel decor is adorable, very friendly staff, and everything was extremely clean. Pool area and outdoor sitting areas were absolutely perfect. So comfortable and a very relaxing atmosphere. Also the staff on the beach helping with chairs and umbrellas were wonderful. We can’t wait to plan another “friends’ getaway” for next year.

Pictures show only the ocean tower which is much nicer and updated than the royal tower. The royal tower rooms are bigger but a little outdated even with the reconstruction. Would definitely book the ocean tower over the royal tower in the future.

The staff was lovely but the hotel was far under my expectations. The room had only one bed for three people, was not very clean and the AC unit was extremely loud. My "ocean" view faced two ugly sheds so we couldn't even see the water. Overall, not as anticipated.

Booked through Hotels.com and didnt get the room "type" booked on the site. The on-site manager at the Madison said they have been having that issue when people book on the apps. In this case, "Ocean View" did not really qualify as Ocean View....

Love the retro theme decor and close proximity to the beach. Unfortunately, walls paper thin. Guests next door were very loud. Could also hear children running outside door and loud stomping until late at night.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is excellent – right in front of the beach – and the views from my room were beautiful, even though I didn’t have a partial ocean view. I stayed on the 5th floor in the Royal Tower. The room was very clean and well-equipped. It had two very comfortable queen beds, a small fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a sofa bed, and a dining area with a table for six. The only downside of my stay was the sofa bed – it was in terrible condition, with springs poking through and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this made it a bad sleeping experience for my son. Aside from that, the room was excellent. The hotel offers its own parking lot, and you can park yourself without needing a reservation, which was very convenient. There are two pools – a large one and a smaller one for kids. The smaller pool is heated, and the larger pool had pleasantly warm water, perfect for this time of year when the weather is not very hot. There’s also a hot tub, which was a nice bonus. The property has a café and ice cream shop on-site, which was very good. One of the best perks of this hotel is that they provide beach chairs and umbrellas at no extra cost. The hotel staff is stationed right on the beach in front of the property and will set up as many chairs and umbrellas as you need. This is such a great service since you don’t have to worry about carrying anything to the beach yourself. Overall recommend it.

Pros: really pretty resort and clean. Wonderful lounge areas and proximity to the beach. Shuttle to cape May and wildwood boardwalk is great! Service at the restaurant was good and plenty of clean towels ready for the pool. Cons: AC unit in the room is loud which makes it hard to get a good night sleep. Our sink also didn’t drain properly. When asking for additional things from house keeping it took way too long. There is only one elevator in the hotel so if you in the ocean front part it takes a long time to walk to the elevator and you are walking through very narrow area passing by many rooms and people sitting at tables.

I booked a suite with a king bed, but our bed was a full size. Another guest told me that they booked a queen size bed but got a full as well, so my advice is to double check and let them know! Also, the air conditioner sounds like the Indy 500 revving up. It was really loud! Otherwise the room was really nice. Cute decor.

Second visit to madison. When we came last year during renovations staff was much more accommodating. Hole were the ac was supposed to be in our room was covered with unfinished spackel and tape. In its place was noisy portable ac unit in its place. for 600 a night is def unacceptable. We had rooms at both hotels for us and family that we stayed in. Both safes didnt open one room they came and fixed second never showed up. The amenities are beatiful, shuttle and location are great. Front desk staff leaves much to be desired. Lack of communication before and after arrival. Even when something was brought to they’re attention basically got an eye roll and told they would send an email. Sorry we wont be back after this visit.

Check in was fine, check out made us go all the way to the other property bc whoever was supposed to arrive at 7am to open the office was late. None of the TVs worked, i called the front desk and said neither would turn on and was told smoeone would come right up. 2 hours later we fell asleep and someone arrived- I told them we were sleeping now. Just poor customer service. The rooms were clean thankfully. Also, I booked with expedia and was told no other fees, we arrived and they wanted a credit card for resort fees which was never told to us or on the expedia site. Seems shady.

Our room was very nice, but it was very, very difficult to access with luggage. The walkway is very slippery from the rain. There are no mats or anything to protect footing. Several people fell. The front desk was very, very cold and unhelpful. The best part was the valet service and the people there who were extremely friendly and helpful as well as the shuttle bus, which was a great service and was also very friendly.

Find somewhere else to stay. Not worth the money.Very rude front desk lady. Asked for sheets blankets and pillow for pull up out sofa bed and got a flat sheet and blanket hours later. Refrigerator was warm at check in. 2 days later all my food froze and had to be thrown away. Never replaced coffee for room. Not that i recommend it was awful. Place to get coffee in morning wasn’t open when it was suppose to be. Ice cream place closed at 5. Even though recently updated. Ceiling had rust.Sliding door to balcony didn’t close all the way. Bath tub was not replaced rusted and no water pressure. Parking spaces where made for smart cars. Location was good and the pool.

After seeing the ads for this place, my husband and I decided to skip out on the usual shore motels and try it out. HUGE mistake. This place is nice to look at but was poorly constructed because you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room. We didn't get any sleep due to a CPAP machine and snoring from our neighbor. We requested a room change multiple times and were promised that the one manager on site "Justin" would get back to us. We checked out 2 days ago and I still have yet to hear from him. The place is clearly mismanaged and being operated by a bunch of inexperienced people. The front desk did not have any idea how to handle any guests. While in the lobby, I witnessed multiple guests lined up with complaints only to be told that no manager was on staff to help. The single tiny elevator was broken forcing elderly guests to walk four flights of stairs to their rooms (I overheard a guest complain that her father couldn't make it to the room) and guests had to carry their luggage up and down the stairs. The pool was dirty, and the chairs were taken by 8:30 a.m. The security of this place is non-existent. What is the point of paying the prices to stay if anyone can come in and enjoy the same amenities? We had a huge problem with our car while valet was off duty. I try really hard not to complain because of not being taken seriously due to my name but I hope to save some folks some money and to stay somewhere else. Wish I would have read the reviews first

The initial reaction to the suite is meh. It is nice enough bed and furniture wise, but hangers for clothes were outside of the bathroom, and there were no assist bars in the shower. The suit was a good deal smaller than others we have stayed in for the same price or less. Also "ocean view" consists of a tiny glimpse of the Atlantic from the living area of the suite. I know “retro” is the the thing in Wildwood Crest, but no USB ports? ONE elevator for the entire building? Parking spaces are ridiculously small. The pool is lovely as are the outdoor seating areas.

The Ice machine on the second floor the aluminum top part fell on me when I push the button to get Ice (There was no Ice) so irresponsible and unprofessional!!!

We had an amazing time at Madison Resorts. Perfect weather and great staff and phenomenal amenities. Loved the shuttle service, beach service and food options on site. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall vibe was fun and beachy. We will be back!

The resort is located directly at the beach. Room was large and bed very comfortable. Weather was not ideal for swimming although loved the pool area. Staff very friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the resort but loved that there was a restaurant if we wanted to eat there.

The Madison Resort was great for our family. The pool accommodations were fantastic and enjoyable. Its proximity to the beach was super convenient and the overall property was renovated and very clean. It had a very retro vibe and we said we’re definitely going back again! The restaurant had great food too and service was excellent. Only thing was the cleaning service didn’t show up so wish we had just one visit during our three day stay there. But we really liked it a lot!

Really nice cozy, retro style hotel with a nice indoor-outdoor restaurant called "Vinyl". The breakfast was very good with attentive service. Really nice pool area with heated pool and Jacuzzi-style hot tub. Outside, walk down the stairs and you are on the beach. Valet parking is quick. Air conditioning is VERY efficient. Front desk, Iona was great, she got to know us personally. Highly recommended, we will be back when we can spend more time.

The location is excellent – right in front of the beach – and the views from my room were beautiful, even though I didn’t have a partial ocean view. I stayed on the 5th floor in the Royal Tower. The room was very clean and well-equipped. It had two very comfortable queen beds, a small fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a sofa bed, and a dining area with a table for six. The only downside of my stay was the sofa bed – it was in terrible condition, with springs poking through and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this made it a bad sleeping experience for my son. Aside from that, the room was excellent. The hotel offers its own parking lot, and you can park yourself without needing a reservation, which was very convenient. There are two pools – a large one and a smaller one for kids. The smaller pool is heated, and the larger pool had pleasantly warm water, perfect for this time of year when the weather is not very hot. There’s also a hot tub, which was a nice bonus. The property has a café and ice cream shop on-site, which was very good. One of the best perks of this hotel is that they provide beach chairs and umbrellas at no extra cost. The hotel staff is stationed right on the beach in front of the property and will set up as many chairs and umbrellas as you need. This is such a great service since you don’t have to worry about carrying anything to the beach yourself. Overall recommend it.

We absolutely loved the decor around the hotel and in our room at the Ocean Tower. It was completely updated and trendy! We appreciated the shuttle service to Cape May and Wildwood and also the complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. We also liked the restaurant and food truck options although a bit pricey. Would definitely recommend this hotel as well as stay here again.

This property is beautiful! It’s clean. The pool, the hot tub and restaurant were outstanding. Highly recommend the restaurant we only had breakfast and it was fast, large portion and delicious. Great job kitchen!! Location is outstanding as well. Shuttle to the beach and boardwalk. Gentlemen who ran the shuttle were so awesome and exceeded expectations. All the staff did. My ONLY issue was the humidity in the rooms. Felt wet all the time. Even the beds. I hope they fix it because I would give 5 stars! Everything else deserves it!

They did nice updates. The lobby looks really nice and smells really good. Rooms are nice decorated. The pools and outside areas are also nice and welcoming. So yes, decoration and outside was good, however there is room for improvement: 1- the staff could use some customer service training, especially at the vinyl cafe. I was charged over $9 for a basic iced coffee that took some time be done when no other customers were at the cafe.. sorry that is more than prices in the city, I should have complained, but did not. It seems they weren’t sure of the price and just rang that amount. 2- pool at ocean tower is not heated. 3- cleanliness in the room needs to be improved - my son went to get a toy under the bed and came back covered in dog hair on his pajamas. 4- keurig in room needs to be maintained, it wasn’t working properly. 5- needs sheer blinds.. you either get full darkness or 0 privacy.

The service at the restaurant was horrible 0/10 they do not care about their customers, we waited 30 minutes to get a server and served water only and left never came back so we left, tried to give them an opportunity the next day we waited for 30 mins again. The Ice machine on the second floor the aluminum top part fell on me when I push the button to get Ice (There was no Ice) so irresponsible and unprofessional!!!

I loved this hotel. They have a restaurant on site which was actually pretty good. our actual room was spacious, my only complaint was that the shower head didn’t have the best pressure, but everything else made up for it. The surrounding area was very nice as well! Super quiet area. The pool area was just as pictured. My favorite perk was that you can get an umbrella and chair on the beach, all you had to do was ask the attendant. It made being at the beach so much more relaxing. Can’t wait to come back next year.

The resort was so cute! The decor and pool were great! The rooms were clean and everyone was so nice. The restaurant and dood truck had good food and snacks! Jack who drove the shuttle was great and very prompt in dropping us off and picking us up from the boardwalk. Valet was great too! 10/10 stay!

Staff was very nice. A couple issues compared to other places we’ve stayed at down the shore. When we checked in, we went right to the beach. There were no chairs for the hour plus that we were there. Our plan when checking out was to stay, go to the beach and use the chairs that we did not get the day before. When checking out, we were told that we needed to return our towel cards and wrist bands so we could no longer use the property. While I understand that there is a limited number of supplies, we have never felt forced to leave and not use the facilities the day of check out at any other place we’ve stayed at.
Staff was very nice. A couple issues compared to other places we’ve stayed at down the shore. When we checked in, we went right to the beach. There were no chairs for the hour plus that we were there. Our plan when checking out was to stay, go to the beach and use the chairs that we did not get the day before. When checking out, we were told that we needed to return our towel cards and wrist bands so we could no longer use the property. While I understand that there is a limited number of supplies, we have never felt forced to leave and not use the facilities the day of check out at any other place we’ve stayed at.

Disappointing Experience for Returning Guests We have stayed at this property several times over the years, but unfortunately each visit has been more disappointing than the last. While the resort still offers a charming aesthetic and an excellent location—with convenient access to the beach, bike rentals, a nearby coffee shop, and complimentary beach towels and umbrellas—the decline in cleanliness and customer service has become impossible to overlook. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of our room. Despite making multiple requests for the floors to be mopped, they appeared to receive only a quick sweep at best. The floors were so dirty that walking barefoot left our feet black. Housekeeping also sends a message asking whether you would like your room cleaned instead of providing routine daily service, which felt unusual for a resort at this price point. The most disappointing part of our stay involved customer service. My parents were scheduled to stay Wednesday and Thursday, but their reservation was accidentally booked for Tuesday and Wednesday. When they spoke with the manager, Iona, to see if anything could be done, they were told the hotel was "completely booked" for Thursday and that no accommodation or adjustment was possible. However, within minutes I was able to book the exact same room for Thursday night through a third-party booking site. While I understand that reservation policies exist, the situation suggested there was availability, and no effort was made

I could not ask for a better find on Hotels.com Incredible beach view from our room! Reasonable bicycle rentals directly across the street that took the promenade right to the boardwalk without having to use any streets. The hotel and rooms were beautifully decorated retro. Our room had a bedroom with a double bed & a spacious living room with a pull-out sofa. Wonderful fast breakfast across the street. The only real drawback was that our burger at the pool took an hour to make. The walkway to the rooms was extremely narrow- 2 people could barely pass. Because it was an older hotel it may be grandfathered. The walk to the ocean was not too far & I loved the chairs and umbrella they give you. The ocean waves were perfect! The second day was partly cloudy so I loved that I didn’t bake in the sun. The sea breeze was amazing! All of the staff were lovely! I will definitely stay there again next year!
