Cambria is a 6/10 for downtown Milwaukee. The cost is lower than average and the rooms are a touch above average. You will feel pretty safe, and comfortable. The extra amenities are nothing to get excited about. Minimal bar area with terrible hours. Nothing food wise really but it's Milwaukee so walk 500 feet in any direction and you will find something. Pretty close to a lot of event spaces and the bar district so really for a short stay this place is fine. BEWARE THAT YOU ARE PARKING IN THE CORRECT LOT! There are three parking lots all connected and each one is run by a different parking company. Each company loves to ticket or tow you if you are in their lot not the one you paid for. Just be certain which one you are parked in.

This stay was really great. The front desk lady Nina was exceptional! She was so nice and really went above and beyond for me. The room was very quite, clean and modern. They had an onsite security guard who was definitely active and doing a great job. The main issue i found with the hotel was getting into it. The parking is all in the back the entrance is off the street and there are no signs in the parking lot to show you where to go.

Hotel was okay, room was clean and newly renovated. Restaurant was closed for our stay. Easy walk to Summerfest. We used the lot next door to hotel for less expensive parking. There are some great food options close by.

The room was very nice and comfortable, but I don’t appreciate being misled twice about whether or not the bar was open in the evenings while we were there. A lobby bar was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. The welcome text I received upon check in said the bar would be open that night. It wasn’t. We asked at the front desk and the attendant said it would be open the following night. It was not. Don’t advertise a bar if you aren’t going to open it. Again, nice room but don’t lie to me!

I would not recommend a stay here . They charge for parking in an open lot but while I was there (2 days ) eight or more cars got broken into . Also one of the front desk associates sold my room before I arrived and still charged me for the room . The manager eventually solved the issue and I was grateful.

We checked in late, and while the layout of the space was comfortable, there were two tissues left in the box in the bathroom, a broken blind of the window we couldn’t open or close, and no coffee cups for the morning. Room needed more attention before our stay, and it would’ve been five stars.

The staff was wonderful and so friendly! The room was just not as clean as it normally is. I’ve stayed at this property before and this time around it didn’t feel very clean in the room. The microwave was filthy, I had to clean that out before use as wel as the toilet. Again everything else was great and I love this hotel when coming to Milwaukee.. I’m just not sure this time arouns

Smelled like a dispensary when we walked in. Check in went decent, parking fee is a bit much for the area. Got woke up at 3am to the fire alarm going off and had to stand outside for about 25 mins waiting to go back into our room. Room next to us decided it was the perfect time to party at 4am. Noone at front desk, phone in room didnt work to call desk. Called by cell phone and no answer. Room was road facing and very noisy. Shame because the room was really nice and hotel overall was great. Wont be staying here again, for the price, etc you can get more for your money at other hotels without all the bs.

The stay I experienced was disappointing to say the least. The check in person was rude and hardly said a word. The room was filthy!!! The bathroom drain had some nasty stuff, the shower finally drained, after 1st use, room was overall ver used but not maintained and no coffee pot for the coffee provided! Clearly wasnt worth the stay! The only friendly person was the lady at the bar in the evening! Never again!!!!! Not letting insert pictures

Hotel room itself was cute. Tv wasn’t working - it wouldn’t connect so we couldn’t watch anything. Blinds are controlled by a button but wouldn’t go up much. Room cleanliness 6/10. Some dark spots on bed sheets. Floors still had some debris and shower wasn’t the cleanest.

The walls of the rooms are paper thin. You can hear everybody traversing the hallways and above you. The beds were hard and had 3 1/2 pillows each only. The bartender told us the bar was open until 11, but then shut off the lights on everybody at 1020. They also had no olives (what bar doesn’t have the most common garnish?), no captain morgan (???), and couldn’t make an old fashion for the life of them. The place looked nice enough, but for the experience we had, it is way too overpriced. At $270+/night, you’d think there’d at least be a provided breakfast- $16 if you want it. Place is clearly a greedy cash grab. Stay away and go somewhere that actually cares for their guests.

Nice clean room. Spacious. Comfortable bed. Price was right. Check-in was easy. Desk clerk was as friendly and personable. Although I am not a Choice member I was given a welcome gift. The location was good. Cost $25 to park but it’s a secure location as opposed to $15 parking garage next-door.

The hotel was very modern and clean. Bed was very comfortable and swimming pool was nice. Cons would be the tv is in a weird place on the wall, so you kind of have to watch it in an angle. They could have used some runners in the hallway by the room door- hardwood floors/no carpeting makes it hard to take off your boots in the winter. Water pressure in bathroom was weak, but it was very clean and easy to get around to restaurants.

Very nice place to spend the night. It was clean and decently decorated. We were disappointed there wasn’t a safe but we had no issues. There had been previous reports of cars being vandalized so we were concerned about that but we experienced no problems. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the proximity to the highway. It was very loud over night and made it hard to sleep. Loud cars without mufflers sounded like they were in our room. Other than that it was nice.

Cambria is a decent downtown Hotel. They are more affordable than many of the "name" downtown hotels as far a room rate. The rooms are small, but functional (although the layout is a little odd.) Example: tv is on a wall to the side of the bed so one has to swivel to the side to see well. Drawers are condensed under the coffee pot area and there's not a lot of room for clothing therein. Closet is ok sized. One very strong positive, the bathroom and shower are VERY roomy. High praise for that part. We did get asked the second day if we wanted clean towels, but room make up was apparently a "musy ask don't assume" type deal. They had a nice little bar & courtyard but not much in the way of beer offerings. To be fair, the bartender said it was kind of new. Bar also closed at 10pm which was a bit early, but whatever. VERY short walk to the downtown areas either direction. Within a mile one can easily reach the bar district on old world third street, or the downtown section of the East end. Lots of food and drink choice in both. One note: do not pay 25 bucks a day to park there. Many lots within a block or two will offer 10-15 dollars a day rate. Overall it was a good discount hotel with a 5 ***** star bathroom. Service was always congenial, polite and professional during our stay.

Great visit! Very comfortable room. Would have loved black out window coverings, but not a huge deal. Room noise through vents is major, acutely loud transference of sound coming from other rooms, not in a good way at all.

I had the room rented until 11am. I had the privacy sign hanging onto my door, because I needed every bit of the time that I had the room rented out for. Although the privacy sign was hanging onto my door, Housekeeping came banging on the door before 11am and woke me up. I did not respond, so they kept banging. Then , they opened my door and came into my room. I finally got up and headed straight to the door to make sure my privacy sign was still up. It was. The housekeeping lady then asked me “are you checking out now?” I replied “no. I have the room rented until 11”. I then closed my door, with the privacy sign still on it. I tried to get back to sleep but I couldn’t, so I then checked out early. Teach your housekeeping to respect guests, ESPECIALLY when they have the privacy sign up, and obviously the time that your guests have rooms rented out for.

The room was very nice and comfortable, but I don’t appreciate being misled twice about whether or not the bar was open in the evenings while we were there. A lobby bar was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. The welcome text I received upon check in said the bar would be open that night. It wasn’t. We asked at the front desk and the attendant said it would be open the following night. It was not. Don’t advertise a bar if you aren’t going to open it. Again, nice room but don’t lie to me!

I travel a lot for work, and have to say this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. The location is excellent - nice and central and with many restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff is professional and very welcoming. The rooms are very thoughtfully designed and decorated, with unusual layout (bed in the middle of the room), which works very well. It’s nice to see a more innovative approach to guest comfort, and it’s well executed. The only (tiny) gripe is the position of the tv, which should really be placed on a swivel arm so that it can be adjusted. That said, it’s not a big deal. Parking is straight forward, if a little expensive, and is super convenient. I parked mine for the entire stay and barely used it as everything is so walkable. As for the other amenities in the hotel (bar etc.) I cannot comment since I didn’t use them. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay the Cambria and look forward to staying here again next time I’m in town!

Great location and hotel room was clean. It was easy to get around the city from the hotel whether walking or driving. Milwaukee Public Market is awesome and just a few minutes walk. Baseball stadium is maybe 12 minute drive.

Very nice place to spend the night. It was clean and decently decorated. We were disappointed there wasn’t a safe but we had no issues. There had been previous reports of cars being vandalized so we were concerned about that but we experienced no problems. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the proximity to the highway. It was very loud over night and made it hard to sleep. Loud cars without mufflers sounded like they were in our room. Other than that it was nice.

The walls of the rooms are paper thin. You can hear everybody traversing the hallways and above you. The beds were hard and had 3 1/2 pillows each only. The bartender told us the bar was open until 11, but then shut off the lights on everybody at 1020. They also had no olives (what bar doesn’t have the most common garnish?), no captain morgan (???), and couldn’t make an old fashion for the life of them. The place looked nice enough, but for the experience we had, it is way too overpriced. At $270+/night, you’d think there’d at least be a provided breakfast- $16 if you want it. Place is clearly a greedy cash grab. Stay away and go somewhere that actually cares for their guests.

The extra amenities are nothing to get excited about. Minimal bar area with terrible hours. Nothing food wise really but it's Milwaukee so walk 500 feet in any direction and you will find something. Pretty close to a lot of event spaces and the bar district so really for a short stay this place is fine. BEWARE THAT YOU ARE PARKING IN THE CORRECT LOT! There are three parking lots all connected and each one is run by a different parking company. Each company loves to ticket or tow you if you are in their lot not the one you paid for. Just be certain which one you are parked in.

Hotel was okay, room was clean and newly renovated. Restaurant was closed for our stay. Easy walk to Summerfest. We used the lot next door to hotel for less expensive parking. There are some great food options close by.

I loved how handy Cambria was to the train station and the Harley Musem. Walking distance. For the price I paid though a complimentary breakfast would have been nice. And the in room coffee machine wasn't working.Nice enough room though and still would recommend

The overall appearance of the property is nice. It is a modern room that did accommodate our family of 4. However, the bathroom drain was not draining well. The water would stay in the tub for a while before it slowly went down. The bathroom door also stuck and was hard to open. We sat out in their patio area that could have been nice, it just seemed neglected. We experienced a gentlemen asking for money for a bus ticket. We also experienced an unregistered guest trying to use the pool that the staff had to ask to leave. So it appears to be a nice hotel, maybe the location is just questionable.

Room was clean. Website said there was a restaurant at the hotel and there wasn't. Parking was a bit of a hassle especially since you are paying an extra fee to park. $150 damage fee is a bit excessive. $15 dollar breakfast buffet definitely not worth it. Staff was friendly . Will probably not staying here again unless I have to.

We have stayed at Cambria many, many, many times. Love it, ESPECIALLY Traverse city, MI! Specifically picked Cambria in Milwaukee because you have a restaurant. I live in Mi, my daughter lives in FL. We met in Milwaukee for a baby shower. Forecast for rain the whole time we were there. So I thought this would work out perfectly. Well, it rained the whole time we were there.
