Stayed here to go skiing at Mt Snow which is about 30min away. Quaint place. No frills but clean. I love their breakfast nook which is on the second level overlooking the front.

It's an outdated roadside motel but it was a great location for a ski day @ Stratton (30 min drive). There aren't many places that have an honor system snack station. Really cute, esp after coming in for a long drive. Sweet breakfast w/ fresh bread/muffins and granola bars to grab/go. My only complaint is that the coffee pot was empty on Sunday AM. Only keurig which is a weak substitute for fresh coffee IMO, but everything else was fine. No complaints

Very nice and very clean motor lodge in a beautiful and quiet part of Vermont. Basic amenities, light breakfast with hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit among other items. Excellent and friendly owners who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Thanks David and Oliver!

Great spot for our trip to see the eclipse in April 2024 and for Vermont sightseeing. Very clean, comfortable room. Pet friendly but no smell of others having pets there. We'd definitely stay here again.

The property is a renovated motel. The rooms were extremely clean and updated, the property was well taken care of and Oliver and David were very attentive and went out of their way to ensure a great experience. There is an outdoor fire pit and on our way back to the room, I called and inquired if we needed to supply any of our own wood for its use. David told us they had everything there and also took the time to go get a fire started for when we arrived. Its the little things!

Owners Oliver and Davis could not have been kinder and more helpful. They brought special goodies for breakfast and made delicious coffee. We wanted to be close to our family for my dad’s memorial and the location was very convenient to New Fane and stores. The motel is older and fairly well kept, just bring ear plugs for the loud trucks that go down the road in early am.

The hotel was very inviting and cozy. There’s a microwave & mini fridge in the room which came in handy for leftovers. The breakfast was a great grab and go or sit in and eat in the common area. No problem parking and getting around. It’s close to ski resorts, a market/gas station and restaurant. And the staff is super friendly and helpful.

David greeted me warmly and gave so much local information. I asked about the EV charger and although it was in use when we got there, it was available and so convenient when we got back from dinner. He even offered to move us to a room closer to the charger, but I said not to bother. The building is not so big that it is any inconvenience to walk the length of the building. Bottom line, we have been pleased so far. It's a shame we are only here for one night. This would be a great home base to explore the area.

The property-- which is actually a motel, not a lodge -- sits next to a surprisingly busy secondary road. For the price, I would have expected more ambience, softer sheets, and on-site dining. I will say the home-baked breakfast treats look amazing (alas, no carbs for me!) All that said, the staff and owners are welcoming, helpful and responsive. And that can be rare these days.

We stayed to see the eclipse the next day in Peacham VT. We wanted to be away from the crowds. We had cinnamon raisin toast and oatmeal for a quick breakfast. The room was clean and and fresh smelling as a non-smoking room. The bathroom was clean , the beds were comfortable, the hotel was quite and peaceful at night. TV was great with our Netflix account. The front desk staff was very courteous and polite and helpful with info about nearby events and services. All said it was a great stay.

Great place to stay and the owners are the best. We had 4” of new snow overnight and when I went out side in the morning to ski Stratton I discovered they had cleaned the snow off my car!

It's an outdated roadside motel but it was a great location for a ski day @ Stratton (30 min drive). There aren't many places that have an honor system snack station. Really cute, esp after coming in for a long drive. Sweet breakfast w/ fresh bread/muffins and granola bars to grab/go. My only complaint is that the coffee pot was empty on Sunday AM. Only keurig which is a weak substitute for fresh coffee IMO, but everything else was fine. No complaints

We stayed in the lodge for three nights, very warm and comfortable. It’s home like loge, not like commercial hotels. We enjoyed the simple but delicious homemade cakes in the morning as breakfast. They have hot water for hot chocolate and tea the whole day, very convenient. It’s close to mount Snow and Stratton. We will be back in summer.

Owners Oliver and Davis could not have been kinder and more helpful. They brought special goodies for breakfast and made delicious coffee. We wanted to be close to our family for my dad’s memorial and the location was very convenient to New Fane and stores. The motel is older and fairly well kept, just bring ear plugs for the loud trucks that go down the road in early am.

The hotel was very inviting and cozy. There’s a microwave & mini fridge in the room which came in handy for leftovers. The breakfast was a great grab and go or sit in and eat in the common area. No problem parking and getting around. It’s close to ski resorts, a market/gas station and restaurant. And the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Conveniently located near several area’s of interest. Somewhat of a Mountain view from room and sitting area. Friendly and accommodating staff. Extremely clean and comfortable room with all necessary amenities.

The owners have made significant investment in refurbishing this motor inn. It’s an affordable gem in the West River Valley, near Newfane which is one of the most photogenic villages in all of New England. It’s clean, quiet, comfortable, and the customer service is excellent.

Stayed here to go skiing at Mt Snow which is about 30min away. Quaint place. No frills but clean. I love their breakfast nook which is on the second level overlooking the front.

Very nice and very clean motor lodge in a beautiful and quiet part of Vermont. Basic amenities, light breakfast with hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit among other items. Excellent and friendly owners who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Thanks David and Oliver!

It was located in a beautiful area. The hosts provided gluten-free options as part of the continental breakfast. That was a plus. In a safe environment - slept with the windows open.

I really want to give this place a good review but it's not possible. It's new, secluded and in picturesque setting. Don't expect luxury for the price you pay in season. This is a self serve property. Modern looking and new doesn't mean luxury. The covers on one bed had blood stains and appeared to not have been changed. Didn't look crisp like the one next to it. No staff on-site and we lost power due a storm. I got a minor"cleaning fee" goodwill gesture for texting the facility about the bed covers. Cell service in the area is non existent, better have your code memorized and read signs on how to connect to wifi. Otherwise, you will be knocking on neighbors asking for help. This facility really needs staff during busy season and definitely need better management to keep expected standards.

Check-in was easy and staff was easily accessible via text when needed, and common areas were clean and welcoming. Most importantly, the town, property, and views are beautiful! In our room, it did not appear that the sheets on the bed had been changed (make-up stains on pillow and hairs in bed), there is only a small trash can in bathroom (something to hold trash would be helpful to bring), and wi-fi is spotty making watching TV difficult. Would definitely stay again, but the room did not feel the cleanest.

Wonderful and beautiful spot, very clean and aesthetic. Great for couples, charming and good value. We also loved the two saunas and the premises. The only thing is the Wi-Fi was basically unusable and it was difficult to get a hold of the owners or the hosts for anything (like additional towels). They weren't very responsive, but otherwise a very very charming place. We would happily go back.
