The first room we were given had dirty countertops in the bathroom. There was blue toothpaste on it and water spots. There was hair on the toilet as well. We didn’t inspect much after that. The second room we were given had water all over the bathroom floor. My husband walked in and then tracked shoe prints over the tile. There was hair on the counter and toilet along with urine down the front of the toilet and on the floor (which I didn’t see until later). The third room we were given had a long black hair that was literally the length of the white bathroom countertop on it so we turned around and walked back out. The receptionist said they were short on cleaning staff so we opted for the second room as it didn’t smell as bad, we were tired from driving, and it was 9 pm by the time we got back from looking at the third room. The receptionist went back up with us and wiped up the water all over the bathroom floor and I cleaned the counter and toilet seat with Clorox wipes although I did not clean up the urine as I did not have gloves. Yuck! In the morning, my husband said he didn’t sleep because he was so freaked out that the sheets could be dirty since the room wasn’t that clean. We picked this hotel due to the high rating and were both really disappointed.
