We loved our stay at the 406 lodge. We stayed in river cabin #2. The cabin was so cute and in great condition. The view of the Yellowstone River was beautiful. Would highly recommend! Only a few minutes from park north gate.

LARGE room that was immaculate and well appointed. Had benches for suitcases, kitchen had small fridge, coffee supplies and paper plates with plastic silverware. No cooking supplies, but we bought delicious muffins from the market for breakfast. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. The only issue was that all the spotlights are operated by one switch and the lamps were very dim. So everyone has to go to sleep at same time. There is a small sitting area with 2 chairs and a table with 2 chairs.

Very nice one bedroom cabin with a living area and a kitchen. Very roomy and comfortable. Excellent location one block from downtown and a short walk to a grocery store. No view. Strangely, no place to put recyclables, but we made due with our own separate bag. Very nice place and excellent service — would stay again.

The hotel looks very ordinary, but the interior is very nice. It is large and bright, and the wood paneling on the ceiling and bathroom is beautiful.

Spacious, clean, modern room…but we could hear the TV, conversation, and footsteps of the people above us. Mostly vacant, and they put the only other guests right above us. Right near the North entrance to Yellowstone, which the hefty price reflected.

The Lodge is close to the north entrance to Yellowstone. There is no view from the rooms as they are located centrally to Gardner, because of this all the restaurants are withing easy walking distance.

We were able to stay in both the River Lodge, and one of the hotel rooms because we were having such a good time we extended our stay. Both accommodations were great and the team running the place is so easy to work with. If we ever come back, this is where we would definitely want to stay!

Very clean and spacious room. Never saw the caretaker but was able to get extra coffee when we texted a request for it. Room had a little loveseat for seating, glad for that. Very close to the entrance to Yellowstone.

Very enjoyable 2-night stay, easy check in even though we arrived late in the evening. Spacious and well-laid out room. I rate 4 stars on the category of “area around property” because the roads are really really terrible right around the 406. That’s not the fault of the Lodge but man there are some Texas-sized pot holes on both streets fronting the Lodge! Roads in other parts of Gardiner are nice, so maybe rally some city council support? Will stay again if we return to YNP.

I rate 4 stars on the category of “area around property” because the roads are really really terrible right around the 406. The 406 Lodge is a great hotel in a great location. It’s only a block from the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park and the Roosevelt Arch. We stayed in a room with two queen beds on the upper level and it looked brand new. Beautiful knotty pine wood throughout the room and bathroom made it feel like a cabin in the woods. the beds were very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I made a request to get some decaf coffee packets as there were none in the room. The staff went way out of their way to get some to us and we appreciated it very much. I highly recommend this property due to it’s like new condition and more because the staff was outstanding. We’ll come again if we’re in the area.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we loved seeing elk walk right by the front windows. Check-in was easy, and there were plenty of dining options nearby. The roads were in poor shape, but it was super close to the Yellowstone entrance — overall a great stay!

This place was in the perfect spot in Gardner, and walking distance to the Yellowstone Park entrance and the Roosevelt arch! A perfect little spot that we stayed a couple nights to go in and out of the park. Would highly recommend.

The room is spacious and clean. The little kitchen area is useful and fully functioned. The bathroom is clean and well stocked. The location is convenient very close to the Yellowstone north entrance.

The rooms were extremely clean and spacious. It was a wonderful place for people visiting Lamar Valley, it’s well situated right next to the north entrance to the park. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Loved staying here! Clean and spacious room with comfortable beds. Soo close to the Northern Yellowstone entrance and lots of good coffe shops, eateries and good gift shops! Would stay here again!
