This hotel was a breath of fresh air - super clean and comfy, with a cute little pool and a decent breakfast. I loved the big walk-in shower and the light-up mirror. It’s also super friendly! It was super convenient to the highway, too, but quiet.

Beautiful lobby smelled so clean the rooms were quiet and very comfy the pillows were a little flat but that’s all that can really be complained about the property and parking was super nice and convenient and right off the highway recommend for anyone needing a weekend getaway or a long trip

I brought my son so that we could have a get away and have a pool to enjoy. Only to find out that the pool was closed. Apparently, there were a few students that were staying at the hotel for a wrestling tournament and someone splashed water on an alarm which triggered the fire alarm. We were in our room at the time and had to evacuate the hotel because the alarm was triggered. As a result, the pool closed. Even though that was one of the main features that we paid for, this amenity was now off limit to us. Secondly, we were told that breakfast ends at 9:30 AM on Saturdays. Once we got downstairs at 8:50 AM we were told by the staff that they are shutting down breakfast. Again, another amenity that we paid for that we were not able to get the full benefits of. Lastly, the manager brought her dogs into the hotel and they stayed during the duration of our stay. They were not service or therapy dogs. Another employee just informed me that the manager gets to do what she wants to do and she wanted to bring her dogs in so the dogs came in with her. I understand that there was a power outage in other areas but to have to listen to the dogs barking throughout the night was a bit much.

Yuck.. for a newly renovated hotel they missed a lot.. the first room we had the wallpaper was curling up, the pillows are nothing..BRING YOUR OWN!!!, the pool is TINY says 28 but no way could 28 people comfortably be in the pool.. we wanted to leave but the OWNER refused to refund us so we felt like hostages.. unless you are handicap there are NO TUBS all walk in showers, and our shower head was grimy.. our purpose in going was so that our 5 yr old daughter could spend time with one of her besties that lives 3 hours away as a Christmas surprise.. the pool was COLD so not much time in there

Building is lovely and well kept. My only question was why there was not any room cleaning after the second night stay. No garbage pickup or towel change out at all. Initially when I looked online at the hotel details it showed daily room service. This was disappointing. Also it would have been nice to have some recommendations of local food Venus.

Not what I expected from pictures on the site. Probably won't be back but ok for someone who just wants a cheap stay. Wasn't dirty.. except for pool. It was only 4 ft deep and a film of some sort on top. We did not swim because of this.Just was expecting more.

Poor service at the front desk and breakfast bar - almost no food stocked whatsoever for breakfast and when staff was finally located by the many guests waiting for continental breakfast she was rude. Toilet in the room was not clean. Limited amenities, no water or coffee in the room.

The room was mostly clean. The shower had mold all over it and the toilet was dirty when we got there. Breakfast was okay but not as good as other hotels I’ve been to. The blanket had blood stains and there was some red stuff on the carpet.

This hotel has been our choice when visiting family in Kalamazoo. This stay was disappointing: the towels were worn and dingey; the sheets were worn with holes on the edges; the comforter had dirty spots and was soiled and grimy on the edges; the curtains’ hardware was broken making it a challenge to close them. I’m not sure we will give them another chance.

Very friendly staff, check in swift. Was concerned that our room was right beside the elevator (2nd floor), but it was very quiet. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom and room both sparkly clean.

The hotel itself is clean. Bed Linens and towels were really bad, old and dingy. Could actually see through the sheet… creepy. Would I stay there again? Eh… maybe

The mattress had food crumbs under the mattress pad and the sheets were stained. We were moved to another room but that mattress' springs audibly crunched every time you mjved and was very uncomfortable.

Absolutely, wonderful clean place to stay my bathroom was huge One note from one handicap to another as extra towels, they can put on the floor that bathroom is slippery like you wouldn’t believe I had to go from the shower over to the toilet and it was very frightening. There’s no handicap rails in the middle of the room so you gotta be exceptionally cautious.

I received an email to pre-check-in which I did. There were still several steps at check-in. The overall feel of the hotel is that it's older and was maybe renovated a few years ago and is already on the decline. The room was OK and seemed fairly clean. Big screen TV was nice but was slow to respond to the remote - maybe remote batteries were dying? The bed was OK, nothing special. Shower was roomy but the shower head needed to be soaked in vinegar to clear the calcium buildup. Very close to I94 and I could hear the traffic - I normally sleep with a fan, so the hum was soothing. Breakfast was OK - scrambled eggs, pre-made waffles, tiny quiche (?), sausage patties, bacon, cereal, bagels, yogurt, etc. Check-out was super easy. I said I was checking out, I handed her the room keys, she asked if I wanted the receipt emailed to me, I said "yes", and she wished me a good day. If I have to travel again for work, I might stay there but if I were traveling for personal reasons, I'd look for something nicer. I think the 8.4 rating on Hotels.com is a bit generous.

Breakfast was suppose to be at 630am. Few of us were down there was told wasn’t til 7am. The hotel doors slam shut very hard and loud. There are no plugs right next to bed or usb/c chargers for phones or other electronics. Not enough lighting in the bathroom. Expedia charged me $160 for the room and when I got my receipt, they told me their rate was only 140 so you guys actually charge me more and that wasn’t including the $20 for incidentals as a deposit so 160+20 my receipt says 140

The hotel needs to make it easier to extend a visit - do they not want the extra business? A guest should not have to go down to the front desk just to get another key made. Hotel staff should have key delivered, along with a refresh on linens, if needed. Also - they are RIGID about check out time here - more so than anywhere else I’ve stayed. And I know they weren’t sold out so what was the big deal?

The check in was slow and our key didn’t work 2 times. They need more check in help to speed up the process. The breakfast was just ok. Very slow putting things out and providing coffee. The hallway carpets looked new. The room was aged but nice.

My stay was last week from July 26-28. The night shift front desk were wonderful. The maintenance was friendly. The daytime staff needs improvement. My toddler wet the bed and I asked to get the bed sheets changed out only to return to our room at 11:30pm without a soul passing into our room to freshen it up and remake the bed with clean sheets. They had 12 hours to do that task so I wasn't thrilled. We were given a stack of fresh sheets and towels by the very nice front desk staff member, but then I had to make the bed up myself.

If your interested in a step up from Motel 6..at a Marriott pricetag then this would be the place for you. (No judgment) Terrible customer service skills were displayed by General Management. This is what the world has come to? What happened to the hospitality field? I'll stay home and spend locally! No wonder the local area is a circus. Sad state of, affairs going on in Kalamazoo! 😞

This hotel was a breath of fresh air - super clean and comfy, with a cute little pool and a decent breakfast. I loved the big walk-in shower and the light-up mirror. It’s also super friendly! It was super convenient to the highway, too, but quiet.

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy, not too hard. We got extra towels with no problems. I stayed at a nearby hotel a few months before and would come back to this one. Some people might find the location, in a modern warehouse/showroom district, a little offputting, but there are numerous restaurants within a mile

Breakfast was lacking. The surfaces are not kept clean during breakfast. The floor in front of the juice machine was sticky from a spill for 3 days. We left a day early so don't know how long before it will be cleaned. The bed was so uncomfortable we could not get a full nights sleep. I brought the THICK layer of dust on the ledge behind the bench seating in the dining room to the managers attention, she thanked me saying she was glad I had let her know about it. It was still filthy when we left 3 days later. When we left one morning, the entire floor in front of the doors had been mopped with no floor wet floor sign. There is no training or accountability by management. Staff had meeting in front of the building one morning and they also stand right outside the door on their breaks and smoke. Over all a very disappointing stay.

Poor service at the front desk and breakfast bar - almost no food stocked whatsoever for breakfast and when staff was finally located by the many guests waiting for continental breakfast she was rude. Toilet in the room was not clean. Limited amenities, no water or coffee in the room.

Went to breakfast and there was basically no hot food left. We ate some bagels and were there for about 20 mins. We were getting ready to leave and they finally came out with hot food. By that time we didn't want any. Plus they ran out of coffee and took forever to refil.

I received an email to pre-check-in which I did. There were still several steps at check-in. The overall feel of the hotel is that it's older and was maybe renovated a few years ago and is already on the decline. The room was OK and seemed fairly clean. Big screen TV was nice but was slow to respond to the remote - maybe remote batteries were dying? The bed was OK, nothing special. Shower was roomy but the shower head needed to be soaked in vinegar to clear the calcium buildup. Very close to I94 and I could hear the traffic - I normally sleep with a fan, so the hum was soothing. Breakfast was OK - scrambled eggs, pre-made waffles, tiny quiche (?), sausage patties, bacon, cereal, bagels, yogurt, etc. Check-out was super easy. I said I was checking out, I handed her the room keys, she asked if I wanted the receipt emailed to me, I said "yes", and she wished me a good day. If I have to travel again for work, I might stay there but if I were traveling for personal reasons, I'd look for something nicer. I think the 8.4 rating on Hotels.com is a bit generous.

Breakfast was suppose to be at 630am. Few of us were down there was told wasn’t til 7am. The hotel doors slam shut very hard and loud. There are no plugs right next to bed or usb/c chargers for phones or other electronics. Not enough lighting in the bathroom. Expedia charged me $160 for the room and when I got my receipt, they told me their rate was only 140 so you guys actually charge me more and that wasn’t including the $20 for incidentals as a deposit so 160+20 my receipt says 140

There was a wet puddle near the elevators when we arrived, in the morning it had dried into a sticky spot on the floor. No one cleaned or tried to clean it up.

We stayed here for 6 nights. Great location for our needs. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel and grounds were clean and well maintained. We did not try the pool. Breakfast was very basic and we had to ask several times for different items to be refilled. Our major issue was with housekeeping. Our room went untouched for 4 days. Our towels and bedding were never changed out and our garbage was never emptied. After our 4th night I asked the front desk for a changeover and I was told it would be taken care of. After spending the day away from the hotel we returned to our room door open. Bedding, towels, and garbage went untouched. We just received a new bar of soap on our sink. This left us with an extremely uneasy feeling the remainder of our stay. Thankfully everything was accounted for, but this was totally unacceptable. I alerted the front desk immediately, but to my disappointment, nothing was done.
