Holiday Inn Express - Boston South - Quincy by IHG

Parking lot is too small for the customers. Had to pay $15 for parking and not enough space to actually park on property.

Other than the construction going on right across the street this place is immaculate! Check in staff was great! Disappointing the bar is still closed “because of Covid”(???). It’s halfway through 2023!!

We paid $15 for parking and there were no parking spots for our car when we arrived back after an evening out. Staff was extremely helpful and had us park in a no parking zone but this was very inconvenient. Otherwise the facility was great!

This is a great place to stay. It is close enough to Boston that the drive isn't bad and you don't have all the downtown noise. The hotel must be pretty new. It is immaculate and decorated very nicely. The room was nice and the staff was pleasant. The breakfast provided was actually really good. My only knock on this hotel is that they don't have enough parking. When the lot is full they tell you to go to a restaurant down the street to park, which is not good in my opinion.

Very clean, large and nice workout room. Staff does not cut corners on the large free breakfast. Lots of choices.

I stayed for two nights and was charged 15 dollars for parking

When we checked in the hotel at 11 PM, there were no parking for customers. We had to park on the street. I thought when we booked a hotel, a hotel supposed to provide us a parking lot. We came from out of state & we are not familiar from the area.

Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Location was close to subway. A Target store was there as well as sandwich shop, bakery and fast food. Loved the breakfast every morning. Our king room was large and comfortable. The complimentary laundry really came in handy. We had a great 4 day stay.

Hotel offered parking, had you pay for it and had no parking to offer.

Clean rooms, nice workout area, good breakfast, helpful and friendly staff

This hotel was conveniently located near the business meeting I was attending and the costs was reasonable but the main issue was the cleanliness of the bathroom. I walked in and saw the tissue box looked gross and not replaced.

Out of all the Holiday Inn Express hotels that I have stayed this was the cleanest and nicest hotel. Was incredibly impressed!!

The Quincy Holiday Inn Express was a great place to stay. Extremely clean facilities and a super friendly staff made the experience well worth it. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express.

Decent hotel stay, but a bit pricey for condition/location. The bad- Mattress/sheet was stained, pink mildew in shower, not enough towels for number of people in the room, shower pressure fluctuated with sink/toilet usage, and water at sink got VERY hot which was dangerous for my young children. Breakfast was decent- lots of options, biscuits/breads were a bit stale. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Quiet area, but a 20 minute drive into south Boston. Probably wouldn’t stay here again unless cheaper. For the amount we paid per night, I’d move further into Boston proper.

I didn’t give 5 stars even though the receptionist and staff were very nice and helpful, because the cleaning service never came during our stay. We had to call down just to get fresh towels. There was also something blocking the shower drain, which caused flooding. Breakfast was underwhelming, with only one toaster available for bagels, and parking is $15 per night. They did refund me since I couldn’t find parking at the end of the night, needed to do street parking.

I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone. When I first checked into my room, I noticed a bunch of things that weren’t clean. There was garbage in my garbage cans, there was shampoo all over the shower, and you could tell it was not clean at all. I went to have a shower and every single one of the bottles which you’re supposed to be shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all filled with shampoo. Our room was not clean the first two days we were there no towels no toilet paper no Kleenex. So we spoke to the front desk and saw them right down our name for the room to be cleaned the next day and we showed up again and it was not clean and we requested again for the following day and again it was not done. We were leaving the next day so we called down to the desk to let them know that we needed towels and toilet paper since we haven’t had any in five days and they sent a very grumpy man up to our room who just handed me a garbage bag, a pile of towels and a roll of toilet paper. He was cranky and it was a very unpleasant experience. We were paying US$300 a night for our room and honestly, this was horrible value for our money. Additionally, on the mornings when we attempted to go down for breakfast, we were there well over an hour before breakfast was over and there was no food left and when we spoke to the staff, they said they were not refilling it cause breakfast was almost over. They’re still an hour left. That’s not almost over. Worst hotel.

The comforter in the room had a yellow stain on it.

The rooms were new and spacious but the walls were thin along with the floors as you could hear the person above your room walking which made it difficult to sleep. The bathroom was not clean, with a musty smell from the carpet and the shower curtain was not clean with mold on it. The staff at the front desk was good, however the staff helping run the breakfast left a lot to be desired in terms of customer service. The breakfast time officially was till 9:30 but most of the things were ‘until supplies last’ and even a simple request of hot water/coffee was met with a disdainful look from one of the staff members. They really need to work on their customer service. Breakfast offerings were average, less than what you’d expect of a Holiday Inn.

The only thing bad is that it was pretty dusty! On the places we can not see…but as i’m allergic to dust i saw all those corners… like the bed head, the lamps, the paintings… the breakfast was good and offers a good variety! It is just in front of the subway station! Transport very easy to visit boston.. 20 min to downtown.

Just okay. They advertise a bar which isn’t there. Shower pressure was very intense to the point of being uncomfortable. The room was loud from traffic below, bed was uncomfortable, air conditioner wasn’t sufficient, and no one was there to check us out when we were leaving. The maid service was good though.

My stay at this hotel was disappointing. The only highlight was the friendly and helpful staff. The walls were so thin I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, making sleep difficult. The internet was painfully slow at just 2 Mbps, barely usable. For the price, I expected much better. Would not stay again.

The floors are thin-

Room smelled like sweat and had to run AC consistently to subdue it. Internet was out for at least 12 hours. Happy for the free breakfast.

What I think was the electrical supply to the air/heating system in room 214 gave off a very loud clicking sound even when the power to the unit was turned off. And, unfortunately, the neighbors left their TV on all night long. The hotel itself, staff, amenities, location, and nearby access to the T red line were otherwise wonderful! I highly recommend staying here while in Boston.

A very nice & clean Hotel and especially very tasteful furnished and decorated. Our room was big and well equipped also for a business trip. The internet connection was fast and stable. And the room was almost everyday cleaned. Just one day (on Monday) before we left, was not cleaned. Also just at the last night, we could not sleep due to other guest from upper floor listening loudly to music almost during the whole nicht. We were fine with the breakfast, just missed more fresh fruits. But this did not change our very good impression about the accommodation and the helpful and friendly Service. Thank you so much that you made our Thanksgiving stay in Quincy so comfortable and pleasant!

Great room except: 1.) TV in living area had sound but no picture. 2.) Living area needs more light. Can't see the instructions on the coffee maker or read the microwave oven. Had to use my cellphone flashlight to use them. A very nice room but for the price guests shouldn't have to use their phones to see things in the room. Add a floor lamp at least!!

The room was very nice. The beds are super comfortable. I never find hotel beds very comfortable and this one was like sleeping on a cloud.

Check in was a nightmare. The front desk agent charged my card 3 times “accidentally” for the security deposit, when my stay was only for 1 night. He claimed he “cancelled” the extra charges, he did not. Once we returned from dinner we were “locked out” of our rooms to our surprise our keycards did not work. The other gentleman told us there was a “note” in the system, which he did not elaborate what or why. He then took our keycards from us, walked us upstairs to “let us in” the room and informed us, they had entered our room and “saw our stuff in the room” when we were not there and claimed they did not know why, when we “checked in” earlier and were charged thrice. Upon check out the front desk agent who charged us three times was there, did not care about the lockout, his only concern was the keys to the room to “let us back in” and told us “the manager was not there” slid us a card and did not care. Very negative scary experience will not return

Dear Officer 1) When I checked in, I paid with a debit card. I decided to get it back when I checked out of july 22. But it has not been returned so far (August 1st). 2) The card that I paid the deposit after checking out on july 22 has been withdrawn without permission for two times so far. I request an immedidate refund of deposit & unauthorized withdrawal money(2 times) And I strongly request the prohibition of any kind of unarthorized withdrawl in the future.

They seemed a little disorganized, but the staff was nice enough. It’s tough when your reservation starts out where they don’t have a room for you. But they did the best they could up to a certain point, and we survived.

Travis was awesome. Checked us in quickly and gave us late check out. Great service.

As always the staff was friendly, professional and attentive. This hotel is always clean and a great place to rest and recuperate from the stress of travel. Wonderful!!

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I needed to check in prior to the normal check in time to get dressed and make it to a party that was scheduled for 2 and Kayla at the front desk helped and allowed me to check in at 12:30. Great complimentary breakfast as well as the coffee.

No complaints on maintenance of the property. The staff was not friendly at all. I encountered 2 different young ladies at the check-out counter during my stay, none of which greeted anyone and one of which had a verbal argument with a client checking out. She handled it well, and the customer was rude. If she had been friendlier during the greeting process, the situation would've ended differently. Both young ladies were very curt and responded with one word answers. I understand it is busy, but a simple good morning or good afternoon would've set the tone for the all of their customer encounters. This was my 2nd or 3rd time staying at this property and the previous stays the front desk staff was friendly. We also tried to call the front desk from our room twice and no answer. When I walked down to the front desk, I waited for someone to come out of the back office to reactivate my keys. During check out, I noticed the light on the front desk phone blinking but it was not ringing. I am unsure if the volume was turned very low. Not a very safe thing for your guests if they cannot reach the front desk on an emergency basis. Thank you.

Staff was extremely helpful. Hotel was close to trains to Boston. Free breakfast was good.

Terrific room with quiet a/c. New carpet and wallpaper in room and hallway. We were on the 4th floor: quiet. Shower floor was very, very slippery: staff needs to change cleaning liquid or put a rubber removable mat in bathrooms. Staff not present at checkin for a few minutes. We and others couldn’t check in and there was no buzzer to press. Same problem at check out. No one at the desk. We finally just left the room card keys and left. What was amazing was the breakfast staff! So friendly and hard working, cheerful - just such a warm and caring start to a day. Breakfast was A+, as well. A huge platter of fresh strawberries, just cut into eating halves. Then, another platter of honeydew and cantaloupes. Wow! Returning in a few days, so will see how the checkin & out go the second go round.

This hotel was top notch. The staff was friendly and responsive. The location was a five minute walk to the subway which was perfect for us. The area had a Target store and lots of restaurants close by. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. The room was comfortable and clean. We felt safe in the hotel and the surrounding area. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The breakfast included in the price was excellent and exceeded expectations. We stayed here while attending a show at TD Garden. While this is about a 30 minute T ride each way, I feel the hotels in the center of Boston have become extremely overpriced. This hotel is only a few minutes walk from the North Quincy Red Line Station. We felt safe walking from the T to the hotel after 11PM. There is a 99 Restaurant located within a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Staying here for the Marathon couldn't have been any easier. Having the red line so close made it easy to get in and out of the city. The hotel was clean with a nice lobby and dining area. Would recommend staying here for the race or any other form of travel!

We stay in a lot of HIExes, and this one was pretty standard from the standpoint of the facility, rooms, cleanliness, etc. Two drawbacks: the building is located in the middle of a lot of new construction, and the noise from that started before 7:00 am; and, the breakfast area, while large, was packed with people eating when we arrived just before 9:00 such that we had trouble getting something to eat because the staff was having trouble keeping up with demand.

I needed to stay in a hotel due to an early morning flight out of Boston and found Holiday Inn Express Boston South - Quincy when looking for a reservation. Easy access to Route 93/Logan Airport, very clean and well appointed rooms and the hotel overall is very nice. I travel alone and always a bit about staying in hotels solo but I had no concerns about this hotel. Clean, comfortable, quiet, very helpful and pleasant staff and I felt safe. Thank you!

Easy access via subway, only about 2 minutes walk from the closest subway station. Breakfast is disappointing. The breakfast time is till 9:30am. Came down at around 8:15, though not many people there, not much food left and with slow replenishment.

Hotel very good,dining area should and could have been much better. Continually running out of cutlery, equipment not working properly and the main failing was trying to meet the needs of a very busy breakfast area with one two slice toaster which was ridiculous.

The GOOD - The room was nice and clean, coffee was good, check-in and -out was easy, front desk staff were efficient and friendly, didn\'t see any wear and tear in the room or any other places in or outside the hotel. The BAD - I stayed two days (Tuesday and Wednesday nights) and both days the breakfast was very poorly stocked and run. "Breakfast Included" is supposed to mean throughout the hours noted upon check-in, 6:30 to 9:30. Both days all of the hot food had run out when I went down around 8:15 and coffee a few minutes later. It was not replenished after staying in the kitchen area for 20 minutes. When I asked about restocking, the answer was that was it, no more. I understand sometime running out of an item, but not replenishing when the hotel was full was a sign of bad management.

This was a Weekend Trip to Boston. Since we were not driving, we needed to find a reasonable hotel close to rapid transit. This hotel fit the bill very well. It was only a 2 block walk to the RED LINE. And about a 15 minute ride to downtown and convenient free transfers to other lines. Breakfast was good and hot with a good standard variety. All in all, a good trip and a good stay.

Very Nice 5 stars all around besides the price is a little much. If was cheaper be hands down best hotel in the entire Quincy area. Breakfast blows away any other hotels around the Quincy South Shore Area. Huge selection an great service!

Breakfast did not offer much protein options. Eggs were not replenished. Ran out of coffeee - that unexcusable
