We stayed at Rhino lodge with our 6 year old and 3 year old and it was the perfect base to explore the Zoo and Dubbo region. The kids loved the novelty of sleeping in a tent and we parents didn’t need to sacrifice any creature comforts! The check in process was easy, and tent was set up thoughtfully with two single level beds for the kids (rather than bunk set up) when we arrived. A small fridge had biccies, milk and supplies to make a cuppa and sit on the deck after we unpacked. The onsite pool, kids play equipment and restaurant/bar were just what we needed for easy dining after a day out sightseeing and offered a decent selection of food options to keep everyone satisfied. It was lovely to fall asleep to sound of frogs and wildlife at night, however if noise from neighbouring tents is an issue for you suggest packing some ear plugs. Overall, we really enjoyed our glamping experience and would recommend this place highly for families looking for a unique country experience!

Truly memorable experience.Tents are surrounded by bushland. The on-site restaurant was a highlight. The variety of options made the dining easy and enjoyable for everyone. Staff are amazing and very helpful. Parking was onsite. Just a short drive to Taronga Western Plains Zoo and other attractions made the location ideal. Overall, a great experience.

Great amenities for children. We had a swim each afternoon after return from the zoo. Rooms were clean and the glamping was an excellent choice compared to normal motels. Sadly outside school holidays there was no dining room.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rhino Lodge as a family of four. The location was perfect, a 3 min drive to Dubbo Zoo. We had the safari experience by staying in a beautiful tent which had heating and modern amenities. The staff were amazing! Providing a personalised service, the food incredible (must try shared menu), facilities included a playground and so much space for the kids to run around. Highly recommended, a Dubbo secret that needs to be shared and experienced!!

We took two of our grandsons to the Western Plains Zoo and stayed at the Rhino Lodge. We had a great time. The staff at the restaurant were helpful. The accommodation clean and comfortable and the zoo only a three minute drive away.

The Tent accomodation was very unique to stay in. We felt like we were camping, without all the hassles of erecting your own tent! This is camping in style with luxury. The 'Camp site' was exceptionally convenient for visiting the Zoo. We did find it a little noisy when the wind came up with the flapping of the tent sides. Also there are very little areas to store anything on benches etc. However overall a very enjoyable visit.

The bed was very hard not comfortable and the tourch supplied did not work and no table or chairs in the room plus but was very high to get into great meals and great prices for the meals but little bit slow getting some of our meals out and mixed up in a couple of orders

Staff are amazing and very helpful. Parking was onsite. Just a short drive to Taronga Western Plains Zoo and other attractions made the location ideal. Overall, a great experience.

We took two of our grandsons to the Western Plains Zoo and stayed at the Rhino Lodge. We had a great time. The staff at the restaurant were helpful. The accommodation clean and comfortable and the zoo only a three minute drive away.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rhino Lodge as a family of four. The location was perfect, a 3 min drive to Dubbo Zoo. We had the safari experience by staying in a beautiful tent which had heating and modern amenities. The staff were amazing! Providing a personalised service, the food incredible (must try shared menu), facilities included a playground and so much space for the kids to run around. Highly recommended, a Dubbo secret that needs to be shared and experienced!!

We stayed at Rhino lodge with our 6 year old and 3 year old and it was the perfect base to explore the Zoo and Dubbo region. The kids loved the novelty of sleeping in a tent and we parents didn’t need to sacrifice any creature comforts! The check in process was easy, and tent was set up thoughtfully with two single level beds for the kids (rather than bunk set up) when we arrived. A small fridge had biccies, milk and supplies to make a cuppa and sit on the deck after we unpacked. The onsite pool, kids play equipment and restaurant/bar were just what we needed for easy dining after a day out sightseeing and offered a decent selection of food options to keep everyone satisfied. It was lovely to fall asleep to sound of frogs and wildlife at night, however if noise from neighbouring tents is an issue for you suggest packing some ear plugs. Overall, we really enjoyed our glamping experience and would recommend this place highly for families looking for a unique country experience!

Truly memorable experience.Tents are surrounded by bushland. The on-site restaurant was a highlight. The variety of options made the dining easy and enjoyable for everyone. Great amenities for children. We had a swim each afternoon after return from the zoo. Rooms were clean and the glamping was an excellent choice compared to normal motels. Sadly outside school holidays there was no dining room.

Close to Dubbo zoo and Dubbo city centre we were there in the middle of winter it was -3 but the air conditioner worked well but unfortunately we couldn’t eat there as it wasn’t staffed but other than that it eat a great stay

The bed was very hard not comfortable and the tourch supplied did not work and no table or chairs in the room plus but was very high to get into great meals and great prices for the meals but little bit slow getting some of our meals out and mixed up in a couple of orders

The tent was great! Location is great. Was lovely to receive a call on the day of our arrival to check our ETA. Very disappointed that the attached restaurant (apparently run separately) was closed as they had a ‘kids eat free in April’ deal that we couldn’t use. Wifi is also unavailable except in the main building - which makes it pretty much pointless. All round a good experience.

Beautiful glamping accomodation in a beautiful setting very close to the western plans zoo. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The accomodation was wonderful and very clean and it had all the amenities. Ducted A/c and full bathroom and fridge. At night the stars were beautiful with no light pollution. Restaurant and pool were great which the kids enjoyed.

No couch, no chair just a bed in the room. No microwave as well. Taking a shower was a big problem as the whole toilet was getting flooded sue to uneven bathroom surface and improper drainage. The food at the restaurant was horrible.

The room was fairly clean, but it was a glorified tent, so we did not expect primo cleanliness. The area is a bit remote, so staff was not readily available. The restaurant was good and the staff there was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a good time, and we would return there again without hesitation.
